Even the vegetables in the medley had a strange aftertaste, almost as if one of them--or the garlic--was spoiled. Service was also underwhelming. Our server didn't explain the dishes, didn't check in to ask how things were, and the food took far too long to arrive. For a restaurant of this level, that's unacceptable. Dessert was the final letdown. It had a cheap taste and even some crusty, stale-like bits that reminded me of eating a cracker past its freshness. For a $200 bill, I expected much higher quality. My friend and I both agreed that we would have enjoyed a simple burger and fries in downtown Galena much more. Overall, the atmosphere and the host were nice, but the food and service fell far below the standard of a fine dining restaurant. Sadly, I was not impressed and would not return.

It has quite a few beers on tap to choose from in a few styles. As for the food it's pretty average. There's a lot of meaty things. Crowded place with a bar area and tables for groups. It's best known for the beers obviously. There's a pretty great variety on tap. A lot more in bottles and cans. It's about $7 a pint. Best we had of these was the Oktoberfest. This is a Marzen lager that's rich and smooth. As for the food it's mostly meaty choices. It's about $5 to get the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. The rest of the menu has smoked brisket and pulled pork so the place is meaty. Got to say the beers are the best things to get here. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There's a new name for this place but it's still the same beers along with some more food and whatever.
