First time I went there my 'medium' steak was rare; therefore, the most recent time my wife asked for medium well, and it was overcooked. Prime rib was good but had excessive fat. Drinks are overpriced and they scrimp on alcohol. They offer an extra shot for $2-$3. Then they fill to the top with ice. We'll go back, but I'll never order a drink there. I get a drink twice as big at Cheddars for $3 less than here. On the plus side, service is friendly and fast. Wide variety on the menu. Reasonable prices with early bird ( 4 pm) specials. We love Texas Roadhouse and eat there 3-4 times a month but their seating policy stinks. If you have a location preference it doesn't matter. We prefer to sit in a booth around the bar but rarely are accommodated. Recently we arrived right before 3:30 and asked to sit in a booth at the bar. We were told, after the hostess looked at a list, there would be no seating done at the booths by the bar until 4:30. We said okay, a booth anywhere would be fine. Instead of being seated right away, in a nearly empty restaurant, we were told to wait on the side until the server arrived at work. There were 3 parties, including us, waiting on a server to clock in before we could be seated...again in a nearly empty restaurant! This is wrong. We should have been seated and at the very least given a glass of water. We only waited about 5 minutes and then decided to go some where else to eat. I guess it wasn't the actual wait but it wasn't necessary. I think Texas Roadhouse needs to reexamine their seating policy and make their patrons preferences a priority. I'm sure we will think twice before going back. We love the food and always get good service but dislike the way they seat their patrons. read more

We ordered our food and when our entrees were brought out, the girl had 6 inch fingernails and her nasty nail was touching my salmon. When the manager came over to ask how everything was, we told her and she pretty much responded with an answer that there's nothing they can do to prevent this from happening. So gross!! At 4:30 there was a 30 min wait. When we left about 5:45 it was so packed you couldn't get through to the door. The waitress was very friendly and the food was on par for a this kind of steak house. We go there about 3 times a year. My only wish was that they would keep the entrance/exit more patron free so that you don't have to ask people to move to get out. I would give them a zero rating. No professionalism at manager position. My husband and I went in to have dinner TOGETHER as he has been recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The waitress got my order wrong and was very apologetic and tried her best to correct. Management came out and exchanged the steak and explained it was the same price. I explained to them our situation and we were there to have Dinner TOGETHER! Sent other manager out same attitude I explained to her that I didn't come to have DINNER ALONE. I am (was) a frequent customer of this TR location, love the manager Danielle. However the last two of three times I had my takeout order home (20 minute drive away) and have cut into my sirloin and found it completely pink on this inside when I CLEARLY requested well done, as evidenced by my receipt. That's twice I have been left without dinner because I live in a rural area. The first time I let it go because our family likes this location and Danielle but this time, I had been working in the yard all day and was really craving a steak. My husband gets home with it and i cut into it and PINK! I had him call in this time because of my hunger and because I was furious! He spoke with a manager who blithely apologized and issued a refund. How nice! But what about my dinner I had not prepared for because I had been in the yard all day? Are we so removed as a society and lack basic customer service skills? How about "take a photo of the steak and send it to us and we will issue you a gift card for the inconvenience"? Nope, just...here's your money back and see you next time we screw you over. I am not the biggest fan of Longhorn Steakhouse (I hate their lame bread) but I can say they have never gotten my order wrong! My best friend treated me to dinner for watching her cat while she was away. This is the first time I have eaten there. We both had the Porterhouse T bone and sides. I have to say, this was the best steak I have had in years. It was so flavorful and cooked to a perfect med rare. The sides were also great. I also enjoyed their famous rolls with cinnamon butter. This was such a great treat. I would definitely recommend. But, get there early, as when we were leaving, this place was absolutely packed. read more

Positives-we did online check in on a Friday night and got in with 5 minutes of being there which was great! Our waitress was amazing and she had only been there for a couple weeks. We ordered quickly and got our drinks and salads in a reasonable amount of time seeing as they were swamped. Now for the not so great. We sat down at 6:20. At 7:25 we got our meals. This in itself is not good, especially when a group next to us got their food, left, another group came, ordered and got their food right after us! We ordered our steaks medium. My steak was overdone, close to well. My mom's was definitely well done. And all the chicken critters at our table was warm at best, meaning they sat for way too long. They offered to take them back, but after waiting for an hour my kids were not willing to wait any longer, and neither was I. We were also charged for the broccoli side that never came, but wasn't going to complain because the manager did end up taking 20% off in addition to our 10% off coupon because of our wait and poorly cooked food. We will probably give them another try, but go on a not so busy evening. read more

So we had a larger party, 9 people, but I called two hours in advance to give them time. When we got there, we were seated quickly which was awesome. Our waitress, Leeann, was rude right off the bat. She seemed annoyed with us for no reason. We ordered and waited for our food. When we got the food, some orders were wrong and missing items. Steaks were overcooked. We sent a steak back and it took 25 minutes to receive the new one. The manager brought the new steak out but she didn't introduce herself or apologize. By then almost everyone was finished eating. We asked if we could get an accommodation and our waitress seemed annoyed and asked the manager. We did 10 dollars off which was nice. As we finished our food, we noticed the waitress talking to another staff member about us. She was rolling her eyes and they would occasionally look over at us. Very disappointed. Placed take out order. 2 well done steaks and 1 medium well. When we got home all 3 steaks were rare, bloody and cold. I had to finish cooking them. I've reached out several times asking to speak with manager and have not received a call back and also emailed costumer service. 2 weeks have passed. First off the parking for this location is horrible. It's located in a sort of strip mall so it's hard to come by a spot that's close. My husband, daughter, and I came for an early dinner today and the hostesses were more interested in talking to each other than seating us. It took a few extra minutes for them to finish their conversation but we were finally seated and ordered rattlesnake bites to start. They were good but normally they send out a horseradish ranch and we will order a regular ranch as well. They came out with only ranch so we were going to ask our waitress for the other as well, however she was too busy talking to another employee in the back (and yes I could see her) so that didn't happen. We had ordered our meal as soon as our drinks came out so the rest of our food and our salads were eventually delivered. Again, our waitress was too concerned with talking in the back to even check on us. The salads weren't cold like they normally would be and the bowls smelled fishy but the salad was ok. Not too long after our meals were delivered. Still no waitress at this point to check on us or refill empty drinks. My husband and I had both ordered the Fort Worth ribeye and were greatly disappointed. They were lacking in flavor, were overcooked, and extremely gristly. Our waitress finally checked on us but only after the manager visited our table. This is not typical of any Texas Roadhouse that we have been to. Definitely not worth the money and our waitress was horrible. I hate to give a bad review but this location needs to work with its employees about focusing on the customers and not on talking to fellow coworkers. Very disappointing. The food was great! My problem was, in my pulled pork there was a finger nail in my food. I quickly realized once I felt a sharp thing hit my tongue, I told my server and had it on the small plate in which she said she would show a manager. She came back and said they wear gloves in the kitchen and it couldn't be a finger nail (mind you it really looked like one) but the point is there was a foreign object in my food, that is unacceptable. But even then, I understand mistakes happen but a manager didn't take the time to even address or apologize to me. The outdoor seating was really awesome! They must have just recently added it because it was not there in April. My husband and I both got the early dine special 6oz sirloin with house salads. I got a sweet potato with shrimp and he got the rice. Their shrimp is AMAZING!! Whatever seasoning they put on it makes it the best shrimp I've ever had!! Aside from the 45 minute wait everything was great. People in Dayton seem really nice, normally when you go into a bar people don't slide over for you but they did here. Bartender was attentive, restaurant is loud enough to be exciting yet conversation is still possible. My family and I visited this location on our latest road trip. I informed our server (I forgot her name but she was short and blonde) that I had a tomato allergy and she told me that it would be taken care of. Upon receiving my burger, there was a tomato on it. Our server didn't handle the situation very nicely and seemed irritated when I asked for a replacement. I was really disappointed with my first visit to Texas Roadhouse and will not be returning. One of my favorite places to come and eat at. I come often and I haven't been disappointed yet. The fresh rolls vary each time I come, sometimes they're fresh and sometimes it tastes as if it's been sitting for a while but the cinnamon butter is amazing. It always saves the rolls no matter if it's fresh or has been sitting. The servers are always nice and attentive, and the food is always great.
