Great new location, I been there twice now with a group of coworkers, and we had a good time. Food was good, everything we've order was great except one item. We order T-bone stake with onions and mushrooms on top of it but it was too salty. Other than that the onion rings, burger, salads, and other items we great, our server was very responsive and super friendly, and we just were lucky enough to had him as our server for the second time we went there. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you want to go with friends and enjoy good stake. And tell the server if you order mushrooms and onions on top of your stake to go easy on the saltiness. read more

The only negative can be the wait time however, is that really a negative if everyone is trying to eat there??!? The food is great, the steaks are amazing, the vibe is fun and it's an all around cool place to be on any night. We always come here whenever in town but our last visit was special because it was Graduation day for our Gator. The staff rallied around and gave a big He Haw!!!!! Horrible service. I ordered ahead and had to wait in the parking lot almost an hour. The waiter couldn't tell me how long the waiting time would be and walked off. They didn't even have the courtesy to call that the order takes a long time and not to leave the house or if we still wanted to order. We had not eaten at the new location, so we were looking forward to it. Quick seating, very good service. It was evident they were making very good efforts to keep the place safe from Covid. Like no salt and pepper shakers but if you asked they brought packets of salt and pepper. The rolls were fresh out of the oven and were very good. I got the "country fried chicken", with sides of mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. Of these I could really only eat the chili. Okay steaks with peanuts and they make the waitresses and waiters dance which is kinda mean but whatever we're all supposed to pretend it's a party and we're all friends and J don't get invited to those kinda parties anyways so whatever. Not a Good start Texas Road that Moved The Texas Road House moved from East of I-75 to the West side of I-75 when we turned around and made it to the new location the parking lot was full. we parked, walked up to the door and was told they where close for a special event, and the person pointed to a 8X11 white sign, and said "This is when we will open to the public". Not good information guys. Management should have done a much better job letting people know they where not open to the public. Disappointing experience, ordered 2 steaks which came out okay but was offered to have them smothered in onions and mushrooms. Onions and mushrooms were very slimy and cold and costed an extra $2.29 and sold as if it was free. Green beans tasted like they poured liquid smoke on them and the server ignored us for the most part. Also a beer is 7.75 so might as well just not have one. Came in on a business trip about 545pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant was very busy, and I found a seat at the bar. I had to wait at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender, have him clean the area where I sat, get me a menu and a beer. It took another 15 minutes to place an order. The bar turned over at least once, and they were busy. Then everything slow down after happy hour yet no one cleaned the dirty plates from the bar. I ordered the rib plate with french fries and house salad. I was told that it was six bones on the half order yet I received five. They were very good. The fries were kind of cold. So my first experience with this new location was not great. They were so busy for lunch that they were completely overwhelmed. They were out of rolls and large plates and the glasses were still warm from coming straight out of the dishwasher. Now the staff was very polite and the food was good. Parking lot was and the wait was only 25min just like they said. For being so busy I thought the service would be slow but I was wrong. The service was great and the food was very good. First impression: wow very Texas looking! Second impression: why are there peanut shells all over the floor? They gave out free peanuts at the area next to the hostess. This restaurant did not make a great impact on me, but the food was good. No complaints at all besides the cleanness of the floor. My chicken was slightly salty but I gobbled all of it up and enjoyed all. I usually like to come when there's deals which always are like they're mon-fri 2 for $18 similar to chilies. They also occasional gift coupon codes for a free appetizer with the purchase of an entree which somehow always gets me to come here because their Texas cheese fries are the bomb. Regardless if it is slow, busy, or extremely busy. They somehow always find a way to seat you within 15 mins. It's impressive how large the restaurant actually is as well as the quickness of the servers and bust boys. I've always been met with smiling faces and quirky servers. The food starting with the bread is great. Hot bread right off the bat with whipped butter is the best way to make me full before any of my dishes have even been ordered. I typically go for the country fried sirloin and have never been disappointed. I have gotten a ribeye and another cut of steak before but it was underwhelming compared to how they advertise themselves to have the best steak in Gainesville. At the price range as well, I highly prefer the country fried steak. I end up usually quick full at the end of my meals and am extremely satisfied with everything given to me. Overall the food is satisfying and service is well done with a few downs in prices for what they call "#1 steak in town". Let me start off by saying that I have eating at Texas roadhouse for a long time, not particularly this one, but it others. As always, food was excellent. Unfortunately, this post concerns large parties. My colleagues were taking a soon to be retired employee out for lunch, but we only had one hour I had arrived early at the restaurant in hopes of joint seating. The hostess greeted me as I told her that I was with a party of possibly 15 to 20. She informed me that I could not be seated, unless everyone Was there then she proceeded to have me sit outside until everyone arrived. Well, as with any lunch hour, stragglers started to meander to the roadhouse, we had 15 personnel present and since I told the hostess, we were going to have 20 she would still not allow us to take a seat. I had to change the number of personnel before she granted us a seat, she and the manager on duty, then added that we would not be allowed to add anyone once we take a seat. FYI, Texas roadhouse, no, you almost lost out on a $600 tab. One thing I can tell you is that this will not happen again I thank you for your time. This establishment does not cater to large parties, and if you are pressed for time it is not a recommendation that I can honestly sanction without critical feedback. read more

This rating is primarily based on service, the food was good. We there on a Tuesday evening and waited briefly. We were seated and our server, who was great despite telling us how many meds he takes to even him out (I don't say that in a bad way, he was good at his job and the story added to it). Up to this point all was well, but then it came time to order drinks. When it came to me I told the waiter that I wanted a margarita made in a specific way. Nothing unusual just specific tequila and liquor, both of which they had. I was told they can only make margaritas from the menu? I asked if the bar tender was experienced or had he just started to tend bar that evening. I explained that I was ASKING for a specific drink and they wouldn't refuse a customers request for any other drink, so why this particular drink. We said he would request it but wasn't hopeful. He came back and told me they make a similar drink and I told him no I would like my drink. He returned a bit later and told me they realized what I ordered was the same as the one in the menu. It wasn't. I really don't understand why they simply would not make my drink my way and insisted on forcing their drink on me. This happened the last time I was in a roadhouse in a completely different location. That time we had a party of 10 there on a business dinner and I have not set foot in one since. On the road from Atlanta on the way to Orlando we didn't want fast food. I saw the Texas Roadhouse sign and full parking lot and was sure we made the right choice. First of all let me state the good things the warm rolls and butter served first. Then our outstanding personable waitress, Sharday. That's where the good ends. The chili tasted like it was out of a can, the fried pickles were greasy, the barbecue chicken sandwich looked and tasted like processed meat and the burger was hard and over cooked. They are served dry which I prefer. All the sides are great. The cheese fries are awesome. The only thing that could improve is the beer selection. Asked if we could have the table next to the booth because we couldn't ALL fit in the booth. It was like we had caused a REAL problem they had to get permission for us to have another table. Fantastic Service! Our waitress, Veronica, was amazing! I felt like I was hanging out with a friend instead of someone waiting on us. I just had to start with her because it's been a long time since I've had a waitress this good. Ask for her table by name when you go. Most of us have been to the Texas Roadhouse and love the atmosphere...and throwing peanut shells on the floor. The yeast rolls come out piping hot and with the smell alone you can feel yourself gaining weight. Ahhhh...yes...they are so good and get my "Apply to the Thigh" rating. I could make a meal on those alone. I love all the homemade dressings here as well. Every last one of them is super delicious. All the sides are quite yummy too. I learned today that they have all day happy hour on Sunday too...woot! I am really big on drawing attention to restaurants that honor the uniform for a discount. The Texas Roadhouse does! The flavor was good, but I felt like I was eating a piece of shoe leather at times. I ordered the 10 oz. Ribeye and my husband got the 16 oz. Keep in mind...the difference is the thickness. We got them cooked exactly the same, but mine was so thin that it was rubbery and way to chewy. I found myself chewing it for flavor and then taking it out of my mouth and setting it aside. Gross right?...I know, but what are you gonna do? My husband's steak was like butter. Even my son's kids meal steak was over an inch thick, cooked the same as ours, and absolutely yummy. The smaller in ounces you order, the thinner the steak...be careful. Since I did find myself spitting out my steak...that is the reason for the 4. Texas Roadhouse...the difference in the ounces shouldn't be about thickness. If this is the way you want to roll then you need to let the customer know in advance. New location, still a Texas Roadhouse. Parking is better than the last location, but it's still not the best (grass or dirt lot overflow parking). What can I say that you already don't know, it's a Texas Roadhouse. The food is nothing spectacular (much better than other chains though), but it's mostly consistent and you'll leave satisfied. The one big downside of the new location is the noise level. You pretty much have to yell to have a conversation with the people across the table. The other location didn't have this really as it was divided into multiple sections, but the new location is so open that you get the noise from everything and everyone without any kind of buffer. Also, I always feel like I'm about to get run over by an employee when I'm walking through the aisles. It's very chaotic when you're not in your seat. Another fun perk of the new location, there's an added tax to your check. It's nothing major, but it still had me wondering what it was the first time I went. It's just like the other locations in celebration pointe that add an additional tax to help cover the cost of construction in the new area, or something like that. I have never been to this restaurant before, but figured it was fine. It was super busy, we had about a 15 minute wait. We were seated and given drinks in a timely manner. Made our order, and waited a while. The noise level from the staff yelling it was someone's birthday was deafening. This happened 3 times. Unnecessary , extremely loud noise. When our food came I noticed that the breading on my chicken fried steak was very moist and my food was just about room temperature. My fries were tepid as well. My husband said his food was the same, as was my daughter's food. Also her chicken was very salty. They ate their food but I sent mine back. I'm tired of paying for substandard food at a premium price. The waitress was very nice and did take my dinner off my ticket.
