I had a very disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse that I feel needs to be addressed. I've eaten at many different locations before and usually enjoy the food, but the way I was treated during this visit was completely unacceptable. From the moment I interacted with the staff, the service was rude and dismissive. Instead of being greeted politely or treated like a paying customer, the employees I dealt with seemed irritated that I even had questions about my order. Their tone was short and unprofessional, and it made the whole interaction uncomfortable. What really crossed the line, though, happened when I was handed my to-go order. While passing me the to-go box, the employee shoved it forward carelessly and ended up hitting me directly in the face with it. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no concern shown afterward. It felt extremely disrespectful and honestly shocking that something like that could happen and be brushed off like it didn't matter. Customer service should always involve basic respect and professionalism. Accidents can happen, but the complete lack of accountability or apology afterward made the situation much worse. No customer should feel disrespected or physically struck, even accidentally, when simply picking up their food. I hope management takes situations like this seriously and works on improving how customers are treated. This location definitely lives up to its expectation as a Tx Roadhouse. The server was very nice and attentive. Your usual active and loud restaurant from all the guests they have. Everything came out hot and fresh, but somebody definitely goofed up on the mashed potatoes because it was pretty salty. We added our names to list so when we got there we had almost no wait even though it was very busy for Father's Day. A member of the management staff came by our table soon after we were seated and introduced himself and asked if he could get us anything, but we were well taken care of by our server (he wasn't big on personality, but he provided good service, especially with it being so busy). The rolls were fresh and hot and came out almost as soon as we were seated. I ordered the steak medallions medium well and sure enough they came out medium (which is actually what I wanted but I anticipated that would happen), but ultimately they were perfectly tender and flavorful. Always a great place to dine! Definitely family friendly oriented restaurant with a country theme. It is a chain restaurant but we finally have one on the coast! Very casual friendly restaurant. Not too loud but average sound quality. Not a find dining experience. We luck out. Actually did not have to wait but a few minutes. They sat us down near the bar. We sat in the booth . Not a couch but comfortable seats for your dining experience. Light cushion in the bottom and hard wood back. The menu are located on the table. And come with free peanuts and bucket. They don't let you just throw them on the floor anymore. Hence why they offer you a bucket instead. We stared out with the Combo appetizer. We chose mild boneless wings ( Breaded white meat chicken tossed in Mild or Hot sauce and served with ranch dressing ) Tater skins ( 4 baked potato skins topped with melted cheddar cheese and bacon bits, served with sour cream for dipping), and rattle snake bites ( Diced jalapeños and jack cheese, lightly fried). It's actually not spicy at all. They don't have spicy kick since the seeds are taken out. Brandon our server was amazing! Definitely in good hands with him. He quickly took our order and brought out a fresh batch of rolls. I love the yeast rolls and the cinnamon flavor butter tastes great! Of course got a large ice sweet tea to drink. Brandon recommended that I try your great steak with an ice cold beer. We decided not to this time. We opted for the 14 oz. Prime Rib one was medium rare and the other was medium well. One was with salad and steak fries. We did the other with salad and I thought I try the mac & cheese. Both salad was with thousand island dressing. They brought out our order quickly. But then again we were at the bar near the kitchen. The salad is always good. When the steak came out. Brandon made sure it was cooked to our liking. The steak is amazing as always. I will be honest, I was not too impressed with the mac. It looked great but the taste was yet to be desired. It tastes like a plain noodles with fake cheese poured over it. Was not my cup of tea; but it maybe to your liking? Gary,I don't know if he was the manager that night? He was so friendly and stopped by to make sure our meal was to our liking. No military discount per check . However, I do believe they do offer something special on Thursdays? Definitely on Veterans Day. They are well known for being there for our veterans and helping out the community. We always have a wonderful experience every time we go here or other locations they have! Both sirloins were ordered "medium rare" one was received medium maybe even medium well, while the other was well done on one side and rare on the other with a very tough crust on top. The server agreed that she "had never seen a steak look like that" but a manager brought the steak back out and asked "what exactly was wrong with the steak?" as if it was not plainly obvious. Went the other night to a packed house and 4 of us were pretty happy with our meals. Beverage wise, they get an F minus. I ordered an Old Fashion and was brought a 1/2 a glass of cherry water. I asked the waitress to have it remade, as it was bad. She came back and said "we do not do that, its what you ordered. I said that was unacceptable and her manager came to table and explained that "we do not do that". When she saw that I was unhappy, she said, would another shot of liquor make you happy? I said, "at least I might be able to taste the liquor. They sent a shot back and I poured it in my existing glass. It still tasted horrible and I did not drink it. Then to top things off, they charged me the original drink $10.75 and then charged me for $8.50 for a shot. Won't go back no matter how good the food is. This is 3 people disappointing. I have given this place four separate tries within the year because my daughter loves their rolls. But it's officially the end of the line. Lately their rolls are burnt, the food always comes out wrong in some fashion, too salty, undercooked, overcooked, wrong food item, delayed. I have never had a visit where I get what I ordered as ordered with zero hiccups. Today my ribeye was doused in salt, my mother's was more medium rare than medium, it isn't hard to check and cook a steak to the correct temperature. We always receive a poor attitude from the servers, usually we are sat all the way in the back by the toilet for no reason. It is honestly baffling. Being from the west coast I am used to a welcoming service. Here the people act like you spat in their face just for sitting down to eat. It wasn't too busy when we showed up but it got busier as we were being served. We weren't even there for 45 minutes between being sat and starting to eat our food before they started rushing us to pay and leave ‍ I hate complaining but the food they originally served was inedible and their go to is always to get you to leave as quickly as possible. This place can get very busy. I like to visit Texas Roadhouse if I'm near it. I placed a takeout order and so glad I did because when I pulled up to the place, it was packed. So many people waiting outside to be seated and all of the takeout parking stalls were taken. I'm glad they have a text message feature for when to come up to the take out window to pick up your food. The person who helped me was very thorough with my order and made sure I got everything I ordered. Can't go wrong with Texas Roadhouse. Got the sweet potato, steamed broccoli, salmon and steak. Can't forget the rolls with the cinnamon butter. Always enjoy my one visit on a trip. It was hard to find the mashed potatoes. We asked for the manager. His response was that the batter and gravy come pre mixed and thats just the way it comes. He then walked away. Service takes a little longer when they're busy but that's understandable. It shows that it is a favored destination if there are a lot of people. The cactus blossom is a go to appetizer. The food was awful. The blooming onion or whatever they call it was greasy and they were out of the sauce that comes with it. The NY strip steak was ordered medium but came well done, about the size of my palm and half fat. The ribs were so tough I couldn't even eat them. My daughters chicken fried steak meal came out cold. The list goes on. The service was great, everyone there was very friendly, and I didn't inform them that I was dissatisfied with my food because I'm very passive, so I did not give them the opportunity to make it over again, but after waiting for my food for 40 minutes the first time I just wanted to go home.
