I went to McInnis's 12 Bone BBQ with my son to get the lemon pepper wings meal and some fried ribs! The food is delicious, however my issue was in the pricing of their menu items particularly the fried ribs. I saw that for just the ribs I could purchase 3 for $8.50 or a half slab (which is 6 ribs) for $19.37. So I said to the owner Sonya, I'd like 2 of the 3 count fried ribs which would have been $17 saving me $2.37 give or take. I was told by the owner that I could NOT purchase them in that manner because she's tired of people trying to get over on her! I asked her to make it make sense and she couldn't! I purchased the lemon pepper wing meal and the 3 count fried ribs and paid $41.07 and went and sat in my vehicle. My son really wanted the food and they happened to give him 4 ribs instead of the customary 3 (thanks for the favor-NOT!!) I ate a couple of the wings, but none of the ribs. I really feel they need to re-evaluate their pricing; however it's their restaurant and I can choose to patronize or not! I will not be going back, but I do wish them great success! read more

This place is a hidden gem. First, they have added two beautiful dining rooms for indoor dining. We both had pulled pork which was tender and tasty. The portion size was good for the price, 11.95. it came with two sides, I had baked beans and potato salad while my grand daughter had fries and baked beans. The beans were sweet and very good. The fries were crisp and fresh. The potato salad was unique in that it was more like mashed potatoes and tasted like the filling part of a deviled egg. They have an option where you can order in the parking lot tune to a radio station and hear your name being said on the station to notify you your food is ready. Yep, this the spot yall. So as we approached it we seen signs advertising the different meals. I was sold on the fried ribs. Well, as we went in, the door bell chimed with a welcome. Then I proceeded to the restroom which was clean and stocked. Then I went to order my food. The menu is 1 sided but has so much stuff lawd! So I ordered fried ribs with baked beans and man n cheese as sides. You get 1 meat and 2 sides. The fried ribs was so darn good whew! The baked beans were good but they could have added bacon (just my opinion). Now the Mac n cheese was missing something. I think seasoning. It was just missing something. The atmosphere was awesome and that Tucka playlist was right on point. The cashier was so sweet, it was female with locs. My partner got dessert and that was good also. I was so excited to be coming here...my coworkers raved about it. What a disappointment!!! If you want home cooked southern style food, this is not the place. The Mac and cheese and baked beans are not made from scratch. They taste like they came straight from the supermarket shelf. The brisket was alllll fat. The beef tips were so dry, I could hardly chew through it. And to top it off...I ordered 16 wings and they only gave me 6. When I went back to ask about it, they told me they only charged me for 6. Holy Mother of BBQ!.. If this is not the best BBQ restaurant on the coast then I am a monkey's uncle!. I grew up on BBQ in Dallas, TX one of the BBQ capitals of the world, and I cannot remember a better plate of Q in Dallas compared to the one I got he other day at McInnis. Delicious ribs, brisket and pulled pork, all infused with care and the knowledge that these meats were slow smoked under a hickory (I think) fire for eight hours or more. The brisket was so tender that it did not even matter that it was sliced a bit thick. It was amazing... and the pulled pork was so tender and juicy that it was truly off the chain... even the red beans and potato salad were fabulous. McInnis's was recommended to us by a guy new to the area. We were not disappointed. We ordered the brisket plate with fried okra and potato salad. Brisket was super tender and the okra was fresh and crispy (not greasy at all). We also ordered the rib tip plate with baked beans and Mac n cheese. My husband really enjoyed the Mac n cheese he said it was nice and peppery. They didn't have the banana pudding or bread pudding. But they had peach cobbler and a couple of different cakes. We ordered the peach cobbler. It was very good. Tastes like someone grandma is back there cooking. The ladies were very nice that worked there. And one of the customers (a local business owner) couldn't say enough wonderful things about the establishment and owners. We would definitely recommend this place and eat here again. Ribs are amazing! Southern hospitality at its best. The owner was very sweet. We ordered a bbq pork Sandwhich for the kids to split and a side of fries. The pork was great and the fries were hot and fresh. I got the rib plate with 2 sides. She told me it came with 4 ribs but I got 5. The Mack and cheese was disappointing actually. The collard greens were good. Wife got the fried chicken. It had a good flavor but was very dry. The owner came out and checked on us as we are at the pick of tables. She was sweet and brought free drinks out for the kids. She also threw in some sweet cakes. My son said next time he wanted to try the ribs. She came out with a couple free ribs for him on the spot. They then just gave me a sweet tea 'just because' and surprised me with a slice of red velvet cake that comes standard with their dinners. Driver William was great. I ordered online from McInnis's website menu, checked all the boxes, put in special requests, paid for, tipped William and rounded up. Received phone call from driver, not restaurant, stating no greens and no red beans, changed order to bbq beans,green beans mac n cheese, potato salad. Order now delayed 40 minutes. Meal was ordered Saturday to have for Easter Sunday lunch. Request was made for well done pulled pork and not put on the bun, have bun wrapped separately. When preparing meal Easter Sunday, pork was on bun, now all soggy, no Mac n cheese, 2 potato salads, and meals are suppose to come with cake of the day. Guess what, no cakes. This is my second experience with McInnis's 12 rib bbq. 1st time I ordered in person, waited 25 minutes, name was called and went to window only to find out they weren't sure of my order, now had to wait an extra 40 minutes. When I arrived home, no sauce for pulled pork was full of gristle and fat. Need better training of staff and better quality control. Why even have a menu and special requests for that menu if you do not read the order and requests, no pride in taking care of the customer. Why wouldn't the restaurant contact me after receiving the order if you were out of items on the menu or weren't sure of the requests, not the Grubhub driver. C'mon man read more
