My ex-wife and I were feeling quite nostalgic when we stumbled upon a Ruby Tuesday just a couple of businesses down from our hotel. It had been ages since I last dined there--since before Hurricane Katrina, in fact! Living in Texas, there are no Ruby Tuesdays around, so I was genuinely excited to check it out again. I was especially hoping to sample their salad bar and some French onion soup, both of which I fondly remembered. However, our excitement quickly faded when we walked in. We approached the host to ask for a table for two, only to be told that there would be a 25-minute wait and that they were not seating anyone at that moment--including at the bar--because they were swamped with a catering order. The way the hostess communicated was jarring; it felt dismissive, and I couldn't help but express my frustration jokingly about not walking into another Ruby Tuesday for the next 20 years. Fortunately, we decided to check out the Chili's next door, where we were met with a completely different atmosphere. The server, Faith, recognized us from earlier and greeted us with warmth and hospitality that immediately brightened our spirits. She truly restored our faith in Mississippi hospitality and made our dining experience delightful. After our meal, we passed a couple checking into the hotel who asked about our dinner because I was carrying leftovers. We shared our Ruby Tuesday story and our unexpected venture to Chili's with them. They thanked us for the insight and decided to follow our lead, opting for Chili's instead of Ruby Tuesday. This whole experience was a reminder of how quickly word travels in the hospitality industry. A negative experience can overshadow all the good, and it takes so much to repair that reputation. It reinforced for me the importance of every touchpoint in customer service. One person's bad day shouldn't turn someone away from what could have been a wonderful dining experience. Our food was delicious! My husband got the Smokehouse Burger And I got the barbecue glazed Salmon Salad. The burger was perfectly cooked to order and served with excellent seasoned french fries. My Salmon was fresh, sweet, juicy, cooked just to perfect doneness and served on a bed of iceberg lettuce and mixed baby greens, with cranberries, rice, corn, and edamame. They have a full bar but we were happy with our Arnold Palmers. Our server, Daniel, was cordially professional, and answered all of our questions patiently and knowledgeably. I have special dietary limitations, and he helped me find the perfect items on the menu. He was attentive without hovering and made appropriate suggestions to complete our meal. Great experience! First, I'll say the wait staff at Ruby Tuesday in D'Iberville is hard working and were responsive to our needs. We appreciated it. Our last visit to Ruby Tuesday was May 16th at about 6:45 pm. My wife ordered salmon and I ordered another variety of salmon...it didn't really matter because the salmon was so dry and overcooked it was not worth eating. The zucchini and broccoli was good. The facility itself is clean, but honestly it looks right out of the 1980s/1990s. Anyway, we've eaten at this restaurant 5 or 6 times recently and food quality is very inconsistent...good one time...then way overcooked the next. The drinks were unbelievably weak. The wine was good. The mini-margarita, full-size margarita and ruby refresher was a waste of money. I think we will take a break from Ruby Tuesday for a while. Wish them good luck! read more

This is pretty good place. I remember originally they were both on the beach. They have change a lot in a good way. New choices on the menu. We had Mike as our server. He was excellent with our order. They were quick to seat us and we got a booth. They are nice to sit in better than the hard seats at the tables. Superb service, in my opinion. The salad bar is good and food was excellent. Great casual place to eat. Free refills on the tea and water. Opt out of the appetizer since we got the salad bar and desert. One of my party is in a wheelchair. Staff was welcoming, but the tables are at least an inch too low for a wheelchair to slide under and the entire table, not to mention the entire configuration of tables, was not wheelchair friendly, so the party transferred to a regular chair. Our server was attentive and friendly, but the food left much to be desired. The baked potato had obviously been under the heat lamp or in the warmer past its prime and the outer 1/4 inch was dried out. The salad bar was simple but, as usual, really good and they have very good bleu cheese dressing. We had a coupon for a "special" and under those circumstances I always remember that one gets what one pays for and I don't expect five star food, but, sadly, our "special" was less than my minimal expectations. The 6 ouch ribeye (6 ounces is like 1-1/2 Quarter Pounders) was the size I expected, but I didn't expect it to be more suitable for resoling a shoe than eating. The other half of the special was a half rack of ribs which was, as usual, really, really good. My biggest complaint is the handicap parking. Obviously someone at Ruby Tuesday doesn't get the concept of handicap parking making it easy for people with handicaps. Instead of being right outside the door they have 2 spots for Door Dash, etc. and 4 spots for Curb Side Pickup at the door and the handicap parking, and the only ramp, is all the way at the end of the building. This place is one of the last American favorites. The salad bar is one of the best features. Not a lot of places have salad bars anymore. They revamped their menu to keep up with the times. I think their corporate chefs did a good job. If you can still find one of these places, stop in and have a good meal. It's not just another Applebees or TGIF. Enjoy while it lasts. read more

I come to this place quite often but this Sunday (3/23) was the worst , we came in and the hostess was sitting down, we came in with other groups. The foyer was completely full , she asked how many was in my party I told her two she told me to have a seat in the foyer 3 times I told her 3 times it's full. Instead of sitting us and then say your wait time will probably be longer than normal because we are short staffed. I called inside to tell the manager he wasn't any help telling me the other server were overwhelmed by the people that was there. They didn't have that many people there. So we finally got inside the hostess sit us at a dirty booth had greasy finger print all over it and the back of it was so filthy it needed to be thrown out. When you go in there it's to your right in the very back next to the window. The waiter finally got there he didn't know anything about the specials. I ordered stuff mushrooms instead of telling me they no longer had them, he brought fried instead I asked what is that I told him I ordered the stuffed ones. Then we ordered our food since everything I asked for that wasn't the way it was sold. My friend ordered the smashed burger/w baked potatoes, I kept it simple and ordered a baked potato. When she got her meal the burger was on a child plate along with the baked potato and the plate still had plenty of space my potato was on a child plate as well, it was sliding around like it had skates. I think you should get a certain amount of food for what you send , it didn't even compare to a happy meal and they wanted $10 for that. My friend asked if she was being punked? We offered to pay for our drinks after telling how dissatisfied we were no one came to even address the problem what is wrong with management? Or is it the attitude just don't care what you or how you feel about something. The first attitude is they take is you want something for nothing wrong answer, I will pay but I want it right. Your server should be knowledgeable of everything that's going on in your restaurant and if they don't know they ask someone with in the place, if there's a problem notify management. This is a pretty solid execution of what is otherwise kind of a mid-range chain. However, the one thing I do like at Ruby Tuesday's is Garden Bar, which is pretty consistently good. I've lost my Ruby Tuesday's near Houston, and look forward to the occasion where I get to stop at one during my pilgrimages Jacksonville, Florida. This is probably really only a three star restaurant, but I enjoy it it enough that I bother to plan a stop here on my trips cross-country. read more

It was cold, tasteless, did not come with the sauces I asked for. The crispy chicken sandwich was drenched in some sort of red sauce I did not ask for. Crispy!? I don't think so! The seven fries that were hidden under the chicken sandwich were soggy and cold. The wings lacked flavor and were, yes, COLD! This entire order went into the trash. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. the parking lot had a few cars do we thought great no waiting in a line. We were greated and asked hiw many we said two ( there was one other couple waiting when we got there OK, they should be seating them soon since there was alot of opened tables. They told me it was a 40 to 45 min. Wait time, i was surprised by the wait time but said ok, we waited 19 min. My husband went to see what they had in the salad bar, he came back and said that it was very small and he would not pay a $11.00 price just for that! Service: We arrived and the hostess got us ready and told us we would have to wait for them to clean the table. This took like 5 minutes. The waitress told us about the lobster and said it was pathetic. She was very honest and I thought that was great, she saved us food poisoning. There was a guy who was serving us nachos and almost spilled them all over the table if I hadn't have grabbed them before they touched the dirty table. She was very quick about getting refills on our drinks and I never had to ask about one. I was just not impressed with the food. We ordered spinach dip and it tasted like soap! Couldn't eat it. My guy loved his chicken wings, and the salad bar was decent, but the grilled shrimp was literally grilled shrimp - no marinade or spices detectable, and the green beans were under-cooked. I love RT, and the past year I fell in love with the Smoky Mountain Chicken dish. Any time we go, I already know what I'm getting. This location has had good service and great food but our last two visits have been disappointing. I always got my favorite dish with fries and a salad for $13.99, which was great considering the quality of the food and the fact we have a budget for eating out as a family, however, the last two times I have gone the majority of the lettuce has been slimy, wilted and brown at best, and now I pay $14.99 for my favorite dish plus $1.49 for getting a salad. That's almost $17 without a drink! Quality of food from the kitchen is still good and the service has been good as well, but the quality of the salad bar has definitely been lacking! read more

I guess I'm just a sucker for the chains, but at least you sort of know what to expect. Prior to Katrina most of the restaurants on the Gulf Coast were on the beach, Highway 90, and afterward they were gone and I live near the beach. So after the storm we would drive about 25 miles to eat here. This restaurant has been one of the most consistent places that we frequent. The service has been good and the quality of the meals has been good. I love their salad bar and white chicken chili especially. Forgot to mention, DO NOT use the map supplied on their website.
