Service was okay. Dishes left on table rather than cleared as a course (salad) was completed. The manager went above and beyond to ensure my New York steak and sides were cooked and delivered with keen regard to my food allergies. I told my server i was allergic to tomatoes and gluten, and the manager (head chef, perhaps?) came out to inform me he'd do the sweet potatoes without the cinnamon brown sugar, since flour was pre-mixed, and would ensure there was no gluten anywhere else. He even personally delivered my plate when it was finished, and it wasn't too long of a wait. :) Aside from that, this is a well-done chain, with the staff knowledgeable, friendly, and on-point with speed and execution of serving meals. Medium-high quality food all around, no mistakes in my order, and my New York strip steak was only a pinch over-cooked (asked for medium-rare but it was medium-well throughout 2/3rds of it, and only the thickest part was med-rare). We came for dinner and had about a 15 min wait. Once we were seated, Daniel, our server, took wonderful care of us. Since this is a chain restaurant, the dishes are really the same. I haven't eaten at an Outback in years and I must say that I was blown away by the ribs. Also, I enjoyed the side dishes (everyone in our party shared). My wife and I love Outback and we go there frequently. On Dec. 1 was our 47th Anniversary and we ordered a 12 oz. prime rib (mine) and a 6 oz. filet mignon (my wife). We always get perfect meat, but this is the first time our prime rib and filet mignon was the worse ever. My wife's filet mignon looked worse than a McDonald's 1/4 pounder - and it was almost unchewable. My prime rib was 1/4 of an inch thick and was also almost unchewable. The food arrived in a timely manner. It looked good but , looks could be deceiving. I ordered the Outback Burger with fries .I t was so greasy I didn't eat it all ! Visited on a Saturday night. Had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. Got a text when it was ready. Was fine with waiting since I hadn't had outback in a few years. Got the 16 oz ribeye. Added lobster to it. Ordered mushrooms and mac and cheese for my sides. The mac and cheese was a specialty side so it was a few dollars more. It didn't taste like a specialty side (not worth the up-charge). The ribeye was overcooked, had a lot of fat on it, and didn't have much flavor. My favorite part was the lobster and crawfish app. Disappointing since a steakhouse should specialize in steak. I'll give Outback another chance though because it can be hard to do a great job when its busy. Our server was nice but didnt notice that we didn't have silverware. Our food came and we hoped he'd bring the silverware then, but didn't so then we had to ask for it. It should already be on the table. You shouldn't have to ask for it. The complimentary bread and butter was nice. Ordered a drink and asked for light ice, but received the glass filled 3/4 of the way with ice. The waiter used to be a bartender so i was surprised he didnt use his second opinion when receiving it from the bartender. I'm just saying, some attention to detail isn't hard. Are they drawing doodles when writing in their notepads? Can they not read their own handwriting? Why did I waste my time even asking for light ice? I wasn't asking for much. The booth we sat at was very tiny with a small table and the seats were so close to one another that my friend and I didn't have foot room to ourselves. The seats themselves were not very comfortable. They didn't seem to line up well with the table. I couldn't comfortably lean against the back of the booth and be able to eat at the same time. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but I'd recommend trying to get one or having dinner earlier or on a week day and maybe service might be better. read more

They can't seem to cook salmon anymore. In the past they cooked it perfect and seasoned it well. They must not have the same cook anymore because the last several times I've ordered salmon it comes to the table raw. This happens also to my friends and family when they order salmon. To make matters worse the waiter wants to disagree when I tell them it's raw. I decided never to order salmon there again because it's never cooked right anymore. Just one other time I ordered lobster and it had to go back to the kitchen because it was raw. Something about seafood they can't seem to cook it. Another issue is with the $10 bonus card that you get when you buy a gift card. If you are dining with someone else who is on a separate check from you and they also want to use their $10 bonus card the manager will not allow both people to use it. Just 1 person can use a bonus card even if you have separate checks. Ridiculous. Since I would go to Outback mostly for the salmon and since they can't seem to cook it right anymore I will go elsewhere to get it where I can also get a good steak if I prefer that. There are too many good restaurants on the coast where to go for salmon and steak that's good to perfection. Forget Outback. read more

The manager (Cary) came over to ask me what was wrong and then started arguing with me about what kind of meat was in the dip. She said it was ribeye steak. I told her that is still ground beef if it's chopped this finely because ribeye meat is in fact BEEF. She stood at my table and went back and forth until I finally just said, "Can you just take that away, please?" She was needlessly mean and nasty because she wanted to be right. Such a disappointment. Blooming onion was way over cooked. What happened to the golden petals?? Grilled shrimp was cold. Our baked potatoes were over cooked, starchy, and cold. Came back on Easter. This place sucks. A dude was in front of us at the door. The hostess stand (3 people) greeted him and it appears he work here. They proceeded to have a conservation with him. Her and another guy told the 3rd guy to seat us, never breaking stride to make eye contact or pay attention to us at all while they kept talking to the dude.
