To be honest, I had comps to use so we chose to have dinner at Carter Green steakhouse. This was our first time to have dinner there. The inside is absolutely beautiful! Every detail shows , they even have fresh cut roses on the white linen tablecloth. The glasses shine under the perfect dim lights. Our server was Raven and she made our evening even better with the excellent service. Our first steaks came out a little bit too rare she took them back to get grilled a bit more. This time they were perfectly cooked. It comes with a half of a roasted head of garlic and butter on top of the steak. I ordered the bone in ribeye and it was delicious. I had the steak fries which were the best that I've had in a long time, nicely crisp and tender on the inside. No doubt that they make them fresh here ant not frozen . The bread basket came with fresh baked roll assortment and good butter. The head of the restaurant came over to thank us for our first time there and sent us over a complimentary dessert. Beautiful experience. From walking in to walking out they make sure you're well taken care of. The inside gives you elegance. Our servers were extremely attentive and friendly. We had the spinach dip and I highly recommend it. We both had salads. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. The dressing wasn't overpowering and the croutons had a nice crunch but tender. You know how some can tear your mouth up!! Not the case here at all. My dinner companion had the house salad that came in its own cucumber bowl. So cute. And delicious. We both had steak and potatoes. Steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned so well, no steak sauce required and that's how you know you have a perfect steak. The potatoes were smooth and silky. Exceptional experience. Had one of the best meals in my entire life here for my 30th birthday. The drinks were delicious and the steak... was utterly amazing. I definitely recommend the steak with béarnaise sauce. I am EXTREMELY picky with food in general and never eat leftovers and I definitely took what I had to eat the next day which I've never done at a restaurant. Whenever I frequent Biloxi or Gulfport Carter Green is a must. The absolute best steak in the city. The cream spinach is fantastic as well. The ambiance is pretty typical of your normal steakhouse. The wine and spirits selection is pretty extensive. They carry one of my favorite ice wines so that was a treat after dinner. Been to this restaurant many times, but this time will be my last. My husband and I made reservations for our 20 year anniversary. We was seated at 6:45. A large group of 8 was seated at 7:00. They ordered after us, but received their entrees and was done eating them before we received our entrees. We were there from 6:45 till 8:30. Not because we were eating slow. So we decided to spend a valentines enjoying a casino time over valentines. We have been to Carter Green before and it was the only other steak cook correctly besides Cheryl's we have been to although that was before the Covid. I asked if we could sit in the window or booth area and was told they didn't have any. We made reservations for opening time to avoid the crowd so that seemed odd. I ordered the valentines special and my husband ordered off the menu. The first thing they brought was fine, the second was burnt, yes black charcoal burnt chicken on spaghetti noodles! I said something and the waiter didn't say a word. My husband's salad came and it was nice beautiful Caesar salad. My salad was served on small plate the quarter of it having spring lettuce with spinach on top, literally laying on top with a few berries. Main course my steak was cooked correctly, the baked potato that was $9 extra was a regular size not baker potato with a condiment holder it was a small teaspoon of sour cream and small sprinkle of cheese. During the evening our waiter did keep the water glasses full but never once smiled. We heard him complain to a table near us that it was an empty restaurant, which was true as we where only 1 of 3 tables in his section full. He said they only took reservations no walk ins and the restaurant would not be busy until 8:30. It didn't ruin our evening but it sure was annoying it come to nice reservations only restaurant and be told although it was half full we could not enjoy a window section, our waiter did not smile and seemed to be very unhappy, and the food was worse than outback. So if you go make sure you order off the menu, no specials and maybe think twice about ordering an extra side. We will not be back. read more

No, not the best I have ever had but a solid 4-star effort. The steaks do include a (very good) house salad and your choice of a side. Wine list is much less than impressive. Ordered prime rib done Pittsburgh. It came out med well. They took it back and told us they would bring another cooked correctly. About 10 mins after that they said they could only bring us one cooked medium. Only medium??? Well the finally brought us one and it is medium well to well done. I consider that burnt and ruined. Also the crab Mac and cheese is bland and definitely not worth it. It takes a lot for me to write such a bad review but you ruined my steak and that makes me very upset. We LOVE Carter Green Steakhouse! The servers are the best anywhere...Rick, Jamie, Jennifer....all of them are amazing. We always try to get Rick or Jamie...they bring our cocktails even without asking for the order...they just remember us from visit to visit...even if it's been 2-3 months! The food is exceptional...best steaks ever. Occasionally, but rarely, if the different cut of steak is not up to their standard, the servers will suggest you try something else rather than chance being disappointed. We have been loyal customers since they opened...we DO miss Ron, the manager, but Nick is wonderful as well. Ron is now at the hotel's newer restaurant so we do get to see him. Their prime rib is delicious....and contrary to F.C.'s review, I know that if they DID run out, they were willing to substitute something comparable to be certain the customer is pleased. We come to the IV from Fl. several times a year and dine at Carter Green more than once per trip! You won't be disappointed! read more
