Never again. My wife and I walked in. That's it. No "hello" no "kiss my ass". We stood at the counter listening to all 4 employees talk about "not work related" things. I had to speak first to even get someone to talk to me. There was 4 people working but only one person working. Which made for a long wait. Food quality at this Gulfport location is not on par with other locations. Service at this location is particularly poor. Therefore we rarely visit/order. But every few months we seem to fall for the memory of the decent service and food of the past. For instance, tonight I ordered 2 bbq plates w 2 sides each and paid extra for side of coleslaw. I have tried to give Dickiey's another try, but they failed... miserably. ordered the 2-meat meal, brisket and turkey. The turkey was the gelatinous "Frankenstein" overly-processed meat product. Food is okay but their portions seem to keep shrinking while their prices are rising. The only service you get is when you order and they prepare your food. Other than that, you are serving yourself. Our family at at Sickey's today and I must say this place is over priced for the amount of food you get. The brisket is dry and is not hot at all. The sides are ok. When I worked in Gulfport a few years ago I was there 3 nights a week. Everything about the place was awesome, including a visit a year ago. Went there tonight and everything went to crap. Don't try to call in a to go order after dark. They turn off their phones. We have tried on 3 different occasions to call and place a pick up order. No answer on the phone. We go into the restaurant to order and each time it's been slow inside, so it's not like they were too busy to answer the phones. Dickey's has delicious bbq, no doubt. BUT! I have ordered twice on the ASAP app for delivery, and Dickie's always gets it wrong. Their menu states the Westerner sandwich has two meats and cheese. We also added onions. It showed up on a plain hoagie with just one meat, no cheese, no onions. Like a completely different sandwich! This particular Dickey's location does not care, at least when it comes to a delivery order. The food was barely room temperature, the okra was salty, they barely gave us any food. Two very small slices of brisket, 4 little pieces of ribs and less than handful of pulled pork. So, first time at the restaurant I go to the door to see Signs posted that you have to order through their app because the system is down. No problem I can make that happen. So I downloaded the app ordered what I needed and it looked like on their app. They were making a big deal about the lemonade, so I ordered a couple of large lemonades. I even asked when I went inside "Is it fresh?", I was told that yes it was fresh. So after food was dropped all over the floor in the kitchen and the shorthanded situation and all the other stuff that went on in there I finally get my order after 25 minutes and a they hand me my 2 cups and tell me the lemonades "out there". So I go to look for the fresh lemonade. I find it the Coca-Cola lemonade. So somebody needs to explain to them what fresh lemonade is. So I don't order Coca-Cola's. If I could give this place negative stars I would. My family and I ordered food on Thursday, I started feeling sick that night but was thinking that I was just overful. Around 1:30am my son started vomiting, he vomited all throughout the night. I got up to get ready for work Friday morning and started vomiting. I couldn't keep nothing down all day on Friday. I called and asked to speak with a manager. When she answered the phone and I told her that me and my family got food poisoning from them she hung up on me. Beware the cashier will charge you the wrong amount!!! After eating here my credit card was charged twice, I called the store two times and went to the store. I showed them the improper charges on my credit card bill and my original receipt, they still have not issued me a credit, nor have they even called me about the issue. Love BBQ and it was really good. The smoked meat itself probably deserved 5* but they didn't have a couple meat options and were also out of a few sides. Sweet tea was sweet and the ribs were fall off the bone brisket was incredibly tender and that's always a huge win. Mac and Cheese was subpar but that's pretty common among BBQ chains. Staff was really sweet and helpful and it's half the reason we stayed after them saying what they were out of. Will definitely stop by again when we're on the gulf coast. read more

4 of us just left this restaurant. I paid the bill and left a very generous tip. I took my tray over to where the containers of bbq sauce were. The sweet sauce was empty. I politely informed the gentleman behind the counter that they were out. He replied that once it was out, it was out for the day. Ok. I thought that was a little strange, But I went with it. I sat dow and started to eat my meal. Another gentlemen approached the counter and asked it they had any more sweet sauce, and he was handed several cups of sweet sauce that was behind the counter. I'm not sure why I wasn't worthy of sweet sauce. I did not say a word or complain. But I will never step foot in that location ever again. I will say that my brisket was average. My ribs were dry. The meal was mediocre at best. I just moved to the area and I will find another bbq establishment who doesn't Ming good old fashioned customer service. I had ordered the spicy sausage but when I got there they didn't have any... other than that the food was great! I got regular sausage instead and also had pulled pork-nine out of ten( had got bit of very black/burnt parts, the sausage was nine out of ten because I ordered the spicy one, a beef taco with Mac n cheese on it-Ten for ten! It was amazing. Sides just ok. Nothing to rave about but the slaw went good with the pulled pork and the potato salad was pretty good. Over all I will definitely be back again.
