Our trip was in Jefferson City. We went out as my birthday dinner, and I was treated like a queen! Great service, great nearby customers, but 2 issues arose. At 5pm on a Friday night, they were out of baked potatoes. That's not a good way to start the night. We all ordered our steaks "cooked medium". All the steaks came out "cooked well done". Also not a good look for my birthday dinner. Our server did everything right, I believe her name is Madison, and nothing is a diss on her. We were very happy with our server! The restaurant was almost full, but not at a point where the kitchen should have been overwhelmed. Texas Roadhouse! My husband and I ate lunch today at Texas Roadhouse and were actually speechless by the outstanding service. From the moment I walked into the door to when I walked out that door, I was treated like a special guest. Our waitress never skipped a beat and was extremely personable. Every staff member we walked past, told us to have a good day. They offered us a bag for our leftovers and free to go drinks. They even gave us to-go A1 sauce containers for our steaks. Not to mention, their steaks were SO delicious and good perfectly to our request. This location did wonderful today. Anymore, it's hard to believe when you get treated this good at a restaurant. I was there with my family, and our older male server was rushing so much that he spilled another customer's soda on my pants and butter on my arm while clearing the table in front of us. He then used what appeared to be an already-used towel to wipe me off. The table directly in front of us had a female server who appeared much more attentive and careful. We went around 1pm. They weren't busy. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and we ordered the trio appetizer with potato skins, snake bites & fried pickles. Server comes out after we have been there 50 min and tells me they ran out of lettuce and had to chop and clean the lettuce. I told her we didn't need the salad just bring the appetizer & we would be fine since the lettuce was all we were waiting on. Another 15 minutes goes by and she brings everything out. Ok it looks great except we got boneless wings instead of fried pickles which she said someone else must have picked up our appetizer. I tried the chicken and it was as cold as my lettuce. Everything even the fried pickles she brought out is either cold or lukewarm warm. It was just a sad experience and if you don't mind the drive I've never had a bad experience at the Columbia location. But sadly this Jefferson City location is not it. My husband and I ordered steak to-go this weekend and it was just okay. We don't have roadhouse convenient to our house, so we don't come often but I do typically love them. This visit was just okay. I got the filet and my husband got the ribeye, both ordered rare, but we ended up getting medium, maybe even medium well. It was not pink, and definitely not red like we were expecting. The sides and rolls were phenomenal but the steak, the heart of the meal, just didn't make the cut. We will try a different steakhouse next time we're in town. read more

This was my first time to this TR location. I'll admit my expectations weren't the highest going in, but I was pretty pleased with the experience! I'm not a huge fan of chains, but as far as TR goes, they seem to be the most consistently good in every location I've been. I was surprised not to find the giant barrel of peanuts upon entering, so that was a bit of a miss as I love those peanuts! The margarita was good, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was very good. Caesar salad was dressed perfectly and the croutons were extra buttery...who doesn't like that?? I ordered my filet medium rare. It came out rare, but was still tasty and super tender and juicy. Baked potato was good, too. Since Jefferson City just LOVES its chain restaurants, I'd probably come back to this one if in town again. read more

Hannah and Brandy were very good at coming by and checking in to see if everything was all right, they were excellent. I've been to expensive steak houses and the service wasn't half as good. The music was way to loud. About the time you would think they were turning it down it would get really loud again. You could not have a conversation with the people at your table. I couldn't hear what the waiter was saying. I know They was busy but It took a long time to order and a lot longer to get our food. If you want refills good luck. I found a bug in my hamburger. I normally go to Texas Roadhouse but that's the last time i'm going there that was my breaking point. For some reason and won't let me give you 0 stars so just know I do approve of 1 star. Never again will i be dining at ur restaurant. Poor management, When my party arrived, we got told 35-45 minutes. 1.5 hours later still not seated. I could understand waiting if the restaurant was full of people however 1/4 of the tables all clean waiting to be seat. Servers asking why they don't have customers. When asked how long it would take till they started to seat again the manager said "I do not know, there is nothing I can do." After waiting 1.5 hours for a table and seeing 1/4 of the tables empty extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and care towards not only the guests but the severs who could use this long kitchen wait to build ticket sales and make more money themselves. Sitting in the lobby with no service or drinks... called Longhorn who put us on the wait list. They called us after a 20 minute wait. Gave us five minutes to arrive. I arrived with a group of 15 to celebrate a win at the MSHAA state competition. The staff was kind and honest on the wait time but we didn't wait no longe than 15 mins. The place was pretty busy and to me that spoke volumes. I order the smothered chicken with mushrooms and onions, a fried onion and had mash potatoes and a salad, and yes I know I was at a steakhouse BUT it's a place where they had plenty other options. My food arrived pretty quickly after ordering and everything on my plate was so good! I will definitely go back the next time I'm in town. read more

The music is way too loud. You can't communicate with the people at your table because they are playing the music way too loud. We had a group of 6 and everyone said they won't go back till they turn the music down. Asked the waitress about turning it down, she told us the manager said it sets the atmosphere. We wanted to visit with each other but couldn't. Made me have a headache by the time I left. Not relaxing or enjoyable at all. I just wanted out. If enough of us voice our opinions maybe they will get the idea. We were seated at 8pm and ordered drinks (tea) and food at 8:10, our appetizer arrived at 8:45... 35 minutes for a plate of fries with 2 slices of cheese melted on top. We LOVE Texas Roadhouse and have been to this location numerous times. I have to say our experience there on Friday, July 7th around 5:30 PM left a lot to be desired. The front desk staff ignored us and our waitress, Jess, was not the nicest. After waiting for her for over 10 minutes to acknowledge us (she walked by us twice and only had 3 tables COUNTING us), she got huffy and rolled her eyes after she couldn't upsell us to a beer and mixed drink. That attitude along with the front desk staff set my teeth on edge and started off our experience poorly. I wasn't on my best behavior and got curt with her when she gave us a cock and bull story about the rolls not being ready - truck didn't come on Tuesday because of 4th of July but it did come Wednesday, however, they ran out of rolls on Friday because they didn't have time to proof them and let them rise. Really, nope don't believe it and I told her that. Waiter at the next table explained kitchen got slammed and the rolls were cooking but needed about 5 more minutes and they would be ready. Guess what - that is exactly what happened. When she arrived with the rolls I attempted to apologize for being curt with her and thank her to which she stormed off and ignored us. From then on she refused to make eye contact the one time she semi-stopped at our table after our food was brought out, didn't check on us but one time and when we were standing up to leave yelled from another table to see if we wanted a box. Top that off with the fact our food wasn't the best - husband's t-bone was 40% fat and gristle, my steak was medium rare not medium well, and one of my son's burgers was burnt it overall was not a pleasant experience. We ate it, didn't complain, and tipped her at the end of the night. We will go back, but if given Ms. Jess again we will politely ask for another wait staff as I will not deal with this again. Staff need to be trained better, management needs to actually KNOW what is going on in their restaurant, and food quality needs to be controlled better. read more
