I normally would give this place five stars all around the board, but my senior citizen parents did not have a good experience earlier today. They went around the 3:30 timeframe. Anyway, we love their prime rib, and we normally love their service, but the waiter (Alex) today made it seem like they were some old people who didn't know what they were talking about. Every time we go, which is frequent, we order the prime rib. It never comes out with this pepper, salty stuff on the edges, but today, it did. My mother asked why it was prepared that way and she was told that's the way it's always done... and she said it's not. The manager comes out and says the same thing, and my mother explained to them that we come here frequently and it's always done the same way, without that salty pepper stuff on the edges. They still tried to play like my mom didn't know what she was talking about, and I'm glad I wasn't there, because I don't appreciate that at all. She knew exactly what she was talking about, because we go there enough...and we never have that problem out of Dolores and Dakota. Alex, and the others were not good today. There was also a slight issue when it was time to pay. There was some type of mixup with sending the receipt to my mother's email as well. It was just a mess all the way around the board. Every time we drive by the parking lot is always packed. We went during lunch to avoid a wait. Even though the place was full we were seated right away. They had a very fun energy. The service was the best. Even the manager checked on us. Unfortunately the food wasn't worth the visit. The giant breaded onion was too salty and I like salty food. The mash potato and brown gravy was good. The kids portion of ribs was bigger than expected and tasted good. The steak fries were very dry. We couldn't eat them. We came for the steaks which have rave reviews. Unfortunately that was not our experience. We ordered 2 of the smallest boneless ribeyes. They were thinner than a dime. We asked for medium. We got closer to well done. I had to work hard to chew it. My wife said that her steak was very tough. The manger came by to check on us which was very nice. My wife sent her steak back. Last night after my mother's funeral we were looking for a good place to eat and I recommended TR because two of my party had never been there. Myra took care of us and she was exceptional with her customer service and patience as we provided our orders. The steaks were seasoned just right and the baked potato and sweet potatoes were excellent. The salad portions were full size as this location doesn't skimp out. Since the actual menu isn't online, we didn't really know what to expect but were indeed aware it was extremely popular. So we made a point of getting on the waitlist right after it opened up last Saturday. Yet we ended up waiting another 15-20 minutes before being led to our compact "mini booth", where a basket of plump, fresh rolls and cinnamon butter were waiting for us. Many reviews here rave about these rolls but we weren't exactly enamored with them. I suspect that many or there patrons are ravenously hungry after the long wait. After a few minutes perusing the menu, a courteous server arrived to take our order and proffer useful guidance on what to order. I was rather enthralled to see the long list of sides, any two of which are included with many entrees. So while $29 for a steak might seem somewhat pricey to some, it's a seriously screamin' deal considering that it includes even a salad and a side dish like steak fries. I ordered a NY strip steak rare, with a Cesar salad and extra crispy steak fries. My wife went for well-done broiled salmon with a baked potato. Both our orders arrived within 10 minutes. The Cesar salad looked picture-perfect, however the dressing was ultra-bland, with no garlic, anchovy, or parmesan "kick". I suspect they purloined their recipe from a 1970s institutional cookbook. in stark contrast my perfectly cooked stake was bursting with flavor. My wife's broiled salmon was also perfectly seasoned and done to perfection. While we were eating, many others were filtering into the restaurant, so it became quite loud, so we decided to skip dessert and make our exit. Luckily there are payment terminals on every table so we didn't have to wait for our server to return, however she did come over to say goodbye, which was very nice. I left an extra large tip because of the flawless, professional service and since I spent so much less than expected. After leaving, we both completely understood why it's so popular with anyone looking for a great meal with courteous service at a very attractive price. Haven't experienced a Texas Roadhouse before and was hoping for more than the Applebee's vibes we got. First off, there are no reservations available, only a waitlist, which seems underutilized because the line never goes down. We added ourselves to the waitlist ahead of time, but still waited 30 to 35 minutes even with our 20 minute travel time. The wait staff was very polite and quick to address any needs. The rolls were warm and fresh but don't come with nearly enough of the famous cinnamon butter for all those huge rolls. My steak was cooked to perfection and was really tender, practically melting in my mouth. However, the loaded baked potato had unmelted cheese and was still hard in the center. The green beans looked great but the serving cup was filled with gross green bean water that tasted straight from the can. My wife's country fried chicken came with pork-based gravy, which wasn't mentioned on the menu and seemed odd for a chicken dish. The worst part was the bartender. We had to send the first drink back because it was made with melted leftover ice and tasted like diluted tap water. The martini glass wasn't filled to the top either. It seems if drinks aren't on their menu, they won't make them correctly. Really had high hopes for the entire meal, but it missed on so many points. In comparison to Outback or longhorn Texas Roadhouse is the winner. It's definitely not a high end steakhouse but a great place for a family dinner. It's full of families at just about every table. Service is great. We had a shadow with our server which is annoying but I get it. The steaks are cooked how we asked. I asked rare it came rare. Others places torch it regardless. Beer was cold place was clean. Not much to say it's a typical chain. Our servers were pleasant and the wait wasn't too long. I actaully enjoy coming here unlike the other chains. Enjoyed our visit to the new Marlton location. I've driven by a few times and it's always busy. I plan to call ahead to be placed on the waitlist next time. We arrived a few minutes before their noon opening and there was already a line of 20 people ahead of us. We had a few minutes wait until we were seated. Caroline was our server and she was great. Hot bread arrived on our table within a few minutes. A second basket came with our main meals. We liked everything we ordered. The $5 house margarita was small but packed a decent punch. Our only complaint was our Caesar salads were drenched in dressing. I'll remember next time to ask for dressing on the side. I thought the steak kabobs were delicious and very good value. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs with a baked potato and apple sauce. They do not have coleslaw. No coleslaw?? They sell ribs and steak and have no coleslaw? Baked potato was lukewarm but made well. Apple sauce was apple sauce. Can't mess that up. Now for the "fall off the bone ribs". So over cooked they just had to fall off the bone. Ribs should not be "fall off the bone". My wife and I went here on a date to celebrate our anniversary! Carolyn was our waitress and she was outstanding! Very personable and made great recommendations. We got buffalo wings, fried pickles and mozzarella for an appetizer. This was our first time ever at a Texas Roadhouse and it lived all the way up to the hype! We were so excited for the news of TXRH opening in the area, as everyone is with the long wait times, but despite knowing there'd be a wait we decided to give it a shot. We signed up for the waitlist through the app for 4 people and were given a 1 hour -1 hour & 10 minute estimated wait. We ended up being seated 15-20 minutes after the estimated wait time but that's okay as we spent a little extra time at the bar. The first thing I noticed were the very reasonable drink prices. $5 select draft pints, $6.50 frosted mugs, $5 margaritas all day everyday. Even the rest of their cocktails were between $6-$12. I started with a $5 Modelo draft which was cold and crisp, and I followed that up with an $8 Midnight Sour. If you like sweet drinks this is for you; fresh blackberries, blackberry syrup, sour mix, and bourbon. While at the bar the bartender brought us their signature rolls with honey cinnamon butter. These are ADDICTING! There are lots of TVs in the bar area including a huge tv on the back wall that's visible from any of the bar seats. They played great country music all night, and I loved the decor (especially the wild game mounted on the walls). We ended up being seated in the bar area -- fine by me as some sports games I wanted to watch were on. We were greeted by our server, Dakota. That name doesn't get more fitting for a Texas Roadhouse if you ask me. She was so very friendly, knowledgeable when it came to the menu, and made some great recommendations. Almost like she had been there for years even though this location had just opened less than a month ago. We started with the Cactus Blossom for the table as recommended by Dakota. We loved it, and I think it was better than the competitor's Bloomin' Onion. It wasn't greasy, and it was lightly evenly fried throughout. Prior to ordering dinner, Dakota went over the menu with us and told us the portions were so generous that we're all going to be able to order our own meal, taste a little bit of everyone's entree, and be full before we could finish. She wasn't lying as we all ended up with leftovers which usually doesn't happen for me. My wife and I ordered steaks. The 20oz Bone-In Ribeye for me and the 6oz Dallas Filet for her. We really enjoyed the steaks which they claim are hand-cut daily. Seasoned very well, juicy, cooked perfectly medium rare & medium, tender. The steak quality definitely took me by surprise. Our friends both went with chicken entrees; Country Fried Chicken and Herb Crusted Chicken. The chicken was also very tender. The gravy served over the Country Fried Chicken was phenomenal (reminded me of Cracker Barrel's gravy) and the seasoning on the Herb Crusted Chicken couldn't have been better. Each entree was served with two sides. I loved the southern style green beans with bacon bits. The loaded baked potato was just so-so but definitely not something to complain about. I also ended up trying one of their $5 margaritas. Lots of sour mix and it was SOUR lol but for $5 it's worth the price tag. Our first experience at a Texas Roadhouse, especially considering how new and how busy this location is, was a home run. I thought they handled the amount of patrons they had very well for being so new, the food (for a chain) was actually really great, the service was outstanding, and the prices and portion sizes were extremely generous. Once the hype and wait times die down a bit I will be back here often. This may have been the best chain restaurant meal I've ever had. PSA: if your friends/family are taking you here for your birthday, mentally prepare for staff to bring a mounted saddle out to your table to sit you up on while they announce to the restaurant it's your birthday. read more

We went here to try Texas Roadhouse for the first time the other day. The restaurant was packed, but since it was only 2 of us they were able to seat us right away. We had their complimentary rolls and peanuts, which were super tasty! For an appetizer, we had their fried pickles, which were delicious as well! For entrees, we both ordered the filet with shrimp and had Mac & cheese, Caesar salad, and fries as our sides. We enjoyed the steaks and the prices were amazing! Happy to have TR move into town. We enjoyed dinner here in the first Saturday after grand opening. Joined the waitlist with a table for two at 3:15pm, and were given a time of two hours and 5 minutes. We arrived at 5:15pm, pulled into a parking spot, checked in on the phone and within 30 seconds we got a text that our table was ready we walked in, checked in and got seated within two minutes. What a great system, there was a line out the door with people waiting for tables. Every aspect of the dinner went smoothly with a large service team working together to control the huge demand. Our server was newer, but did an awesome job checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was perfect. House salads served in ice cold bowls, complimentary rolls piping hot with the cinnamon butter 1 everything you would expect. This place is going to crush it here in Marlton. The remodel from the TGI Fridays looks awesome and I understand it was gutted and rebuilt inside out. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned well, Most defiant will be back. Been coming to Texas Roadhouse for years. Never had a bad experience -- until last Saturday. I joined the online waitlist for a party of 4 before leaving the house and got quoted **1 hr 10 min to 1 hr 20 min**. Arrived 20 minutes later, checked in, and planted myself outside to wait. About 30 minutes in, I went up to check on our spot. Hostess looked at her tablet and said 25-30 more minutes. Okay, fine. At the 1 hr 20 min mark -- the end of my quoted window -- still nothing. Went back up again. She looked at the tablet, acknowledged I'd hit my max wait time, and basically told me to keep waiting. No apology, no new estimate, no urgency whatsoever. Then I overheard a walk-in party of 4 ask about the wait. **25-35 minutes.** I had been standing outside for over an hour and a half at that point. So the online waitlist didn't get me ahead -- it put me behind people who just walked through the door. What's the point? I left after 1.5 hours with two starving kids. Got the "your table is ready" text shortly after -- which would've been close to 2 hours total. Do yourself a favor: skip the online wait-list, walk in, get a real quote. I intentionally waited about six weeks for the initial hype to settle down, and although it was still pretty busy, I figured it was finally the right time to give it a try. Overall, the experience was good, but this location definitely still has some things to figure out. Being in a more urban area, it feels like they're still working through some early kinks and trying to find their rhythm compared to the well-established Sicklerville spot. The food itself was delicious, which is what I've come to expect, but there were a few mistakes with my order. Some dishes had the wrong proportions of ingredients, which threw things off a bit. Nothing major, but noticeable enough. That said, I love Texas Roadhouse and have confidence this location will improve as they settle in. I'm giving it 4 stars because I know it has the potential to be just as great--I'm looking forward to coming back once they've fully hit their stride. read more

Had a double beefeaters on the rocks and it got lost in the ice. I asked the bartender if this is really a double and she said yes. Stop by the recently opened the Texas Roadhouse in Marlton. It's pretty much crowded every night so I definitely recommend using their waitlist call ahead app thing. That way by the time you get there the wait is only just a few minutes. Service was great, we did have a couple minor issues that they took care of right away so no complaint there. The minor issues being they forgot one of our apps, I didn't have my mushrooms and onions on my steak ... They made sure we got them promptly. The chili is very good, the ribs were completely fall off the bone and nice and barbecuey. I had the ribeye as well and it was tender and cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth fat which is delicious. Add the extra toppings of mushrooms and onions... Delish. Chicken was done well, we also had the shrimp skewers added which were also very tasty. The loaded baked potato was amazing, I ate the skin and all! For one of the bigger chains they know how to do steaks. Some good adult cocktails as well. read more

My family of four ordered our food and my wife's dinner that was a rare steak with mashed potatoes with white gravy ordered came out with a well done steak with mashed potatoes and dark gravy. We called our server and she apologized and returned it and we waited for 20 minutes to get the correct food. The acting manager Grace apologized for the wait and mistake. We have been going to Sicklerville location for years, but we wanted to try this new one in Marlton. It is definitely a step down from Sicklerville's well-oiled machine. Waiting area is nowhere near as big or organized. They have their meat fridge just randomly placed in waiting area, people were leaning all over it, we couldn't even get near it to look nor would I ever want a piece of steak that tons of people are standing on top of, I don't care what kind of protective case it's in. When they took us to our booth, it wasn't even cleaned yet, so we stood there on top of the other tables as we watched staff barely clean it and set dirty plates on it. We sat in an end booth and it had a cabinet attached to the back of it. The staff was literally slamming it the ENTIRE time, it was ridiculous the whole booth was shaking and there were loud slamming noises in our ears every 30 seconds! The food was under seasoned and it was all overcooked. Our waitress was at our table maybe 3 times and we had to wait forever to get things. Management needs to go visit Sicklerville and learn a lot. It was about and hour and half wait but we didn't head over to the restaurant until 5 minutes to our appointed time. In the parking lot I hit "we are here"& less than 2 minutes later we were asked to come to the hostess stand and were seated. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge!! Prices were very reasonable too. I'll be honest, the rolls weren't as good as everyone made them out to be. Yes good, not great. Our waitress was attentive and the owner greeted us as well. Really frustrating experience with their "waitlist" system. We signed up in person, received a text confirming our spot, and were quoted a 40-minute wait time. When we came back after 40 minutes, we were told it would be another 20 minutes because people who joined the waitlist from home were placed ahead of us. There was zero transparency about this when we checked in. If you're going to prioritize people who sign up remotely over guests who are physically there waiting, that should be clearly communicated upfront. It's not fair to give a confirmed wait time and then push it back based on people who haven't even arrived yet. Even more confusing, the system says people who join from home need to check in at the restaurant before being added ahead yet that didn't seem to be enforced at all. Overall, the waitlist felt disorganized and misleading, and it definitely took away from the experience. read more

This place just opened a couple of weeks ago. I did call ahead waitlist ( I would definitely recommend that) wait said for 3 people 40-50 mins. We waited about 35. Told us to wait in our car until you get a text to come in. I'm assuming they don't have enough waiting area. By the time we got in the car , they texted us. We sat right away. Service was very good. They picked up our dirty dishes immediately. We all had the Dallas filet . It was very good. 2 of us had added grilled onions which was plentiful. The service and atmosphere was horrible. We had a table across from us that had three very young customers. They had employees hanging around them during the entire time. Our steak order was cooked a VERY LITTLE beyond the medium rare that we had ordered, but they were so tasty that we didn't mention it or complain to anyone.
