Our last night here in NY state, and we came here. Things I look for at any restaurant are good service, good food, and pleasant wait staff. We were greeted by a friendly trio of ladies; taken right to our table, and in less than a minute, our waiter, Cody, came up and introduced himself. He was very friendly and energetic and made sure we understood the menu. He took our drink order and appetizer order and came back back very quickly with our drinks. The appetizers were very good as well as our meals. I had the bone in ribeye. Very tasty and cut very well. The others at our table had salmon, porkchop, & pulled pork. All of it was delicious. Seated faster than any other visit to this particular Texas roadhouse. Our staff was courteous and quick. Food was to order and bread and drinks were regularly refilled. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I wish it was quieter but I don't blame the restaurant for that. read more

This was our first time at TR so we weren't aware of calling in to be put on a waitlist. We were told our wait time would be an hour and ten minutes which ended up actually being 30 minutes. We were seated, got drinks and ordered. Our waitress was ok initially but we never saw her after we ordered our food, another server brought our food. Both our service's were dirty and had to be replaced. The food was good except no butter for the baked potatoes. This place was packed and just gave a sense of cafeteria eating. I paid the bill and left a 20% tip but never saw our waitress after she took our order. Just seemed to be a very impersonal atmosphere. Not what we're use to. read more

The first time I tried to use a $30 gift card that I was given as a Christmas gift, I was told the gift card system was down and I could wait to see if it started working. I wasted time by waiting there. Then I was told I could wait even longer or pay. I paid with my debit card. The second time I tried to use the gift card, over $20 was missing from it. I told the waitress that money was missing from it. She talked to the manager and he told her to tell me to call the phone number on the back of the card. I paid the difference with my debit card and went home. I discovered that there is no phone number on the card. I went to the website and filled out an electronic contact form describing my problem with the gift card. No one has even contacted me about the over $20 missing from the gift card. You'd think a business would want to do right by the customer and find out why that money was missing from the card. They couldn't care less. Fool me three or more times, shame on me. My own fault for repeatedly going back. Regardless of cut, the steaks are grizzly, tendony (if that's a word) and tough. The baked potato was old and dry. Service is always friendly and welcoming. The rolls and butter are fresh, hot and the butter is a highlight. Beer is always cold too, and peanuts have returned. read more

Burger was dry over cooked, medium well means pink inside, the roles were hard and over cooked, baked potato was hard as a rock, the salad had a full size leaf of red cabbage in it, and big chunks of lettuce. I always over tip, and this is not what you expect for your hard earned money. This meal was for my girlfriend, who works nights as an RN and everything but the fries went in the trash. I placed the order online at 915 pm I guess this is what you get from immature staff who had to fill a late order. Don't often review chains but gotta say I just had a great time at the roadhouse! Apps were decent, bread service was amazing, steak was a nice cut Texas ribeye and very well prepared, ribs were pretty good. Place was packed to the gills on a Tuesday night. Service was a 10/10. Highly disappointed in this Texas Roadhouse chain. I have never been so cold eating in a restaurant that my fingers turned white, we ate with our coats on and gloves. Plus, the music was too loud and we had to yell over the music just to be heard. Our waiter expressed his sympathy, but said that he is asked this at least 10 times a shift- no heat and loud music. He also said the manager would not do anything about it. Speaking of manager, one did not visit our table at all during our visit. No chance to voice our concern. The only reason I even gave this restaurant 2 stars was because our waiter was good and the food was decent. It just cooled down very quickly. Will not be returning. read more

We dined here on a Friday night at 7pm and expected the worst. The hostess warned us there would be an hour wait, but we agreed. Less than 15 minutes later she was able to accommodate us. Our server Tia arrived immediately. She refreshed our soda's, bread, and butter without even asking. Gave us suggestions for our entrees and consistently checked in on us. Me, the kiddos, and my hubby are always coming here! We've been coming here since our kiddos were little baby angels! The food has always been delicious and yummy in our tummies! Sunday, 10/9/22: If any management sees this, please let your server Ned know that he's doing a great job taking care of his guests. Seriously impressed. We decided to stop here on our way through the area. We stopped by around 8:30 pm, and they close at 9, so we were a little worried about whether or not they would let us in or give us a flimsy excuse that the kitchen closes before the restaurant does. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile from the hostess and a basket of the most delectable bread. We were even more impressed after our server, Ned, introduced himself and gave us FANTASTIC service throughout the night. He was super attentive, friendly, and fast. It's hard nowadays to get a service like that, especially 30minutes before close. Our meal was plentiful, delicious, and most importantly, affordable. Great experience overall. read more

The two steaks were supposed to be medium rare and they were as bloody and fatty as could be. My salmon was about four tiny ounces and dried out. The potatoes and corn were average and we ordered a blooming onion which they forgot the sauce so it was horrible with no sauce. They never gave me salad dressing or any steak sauce or bread. We ate the majority but threw the rest out because it was truly a bloody mess. This was my boyfriends mothers 75th birthday and she is in a nursing home and the transportation cancelled last minute so we picked it up. Not only did they forget half of our items, they added in a tip and without realizing it my boyfriend gave the girl who brought the food to the car$10 extra dollars for nothing really. I called to complain and the manager said to bring the food back. We just drove in from NYC the last thing we want to do is drive back with some nasty bloody meat. We tossed it and we're disgusted after eating some. My boyfriends mom said she will see if they can grill her filet tomorrow on the grill. The manager was really a joke. Sirloin Steaks cooked to perfection, tender and juicy EVERY TIMEServer, MARISSAH was great, professional, friendly, etc. My compliments to NH Texas Roadhouse management for setting the bar high with their kitchen staff, servers and greeters. We have never had to deal with a below standard employee or meal. Proves there is plenty of good help out there. Let the competition complain about COVID, and nobody wants to work, etc. When they get good ones and can't keep them, you will have more potential good help. read more

Texas Roadhouse is the NEWEST chain restaurant that recently opened in New Hartford so everyone is obsessed with going there at the moment. My friend wanted to go there for dinner before catching a movie and everything was pretty much closed on a Monday at 7pm so I agreed. Surprisingly, it wasn't packed- with a 10 minute wait to be seated. The 3 hostesses at the counter were nice for the most part. We were seated fast. I like how the decor on the walls is local.. Saranac beer, The Boilermaker, and other "Utica" stuff :). I wasn't hungry so I ordered a salad with chicken critters on top. It tasted like the lettuce was frozen though, it was pretty nasty. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer (which are literally addicting). My friend got a steak with all the works- mushrooms, onions, and all that good stuff. Our waitress, Jessica, was really friendly & quirky. All in all, I would come back here to drink because they have a good drink menu (and for the delicious rolls), but it wouldn't be on my top ten choices of places to eat in the New Hartford/Utica area. There are SO many family owned restaurants & pubs in CNY with (better) food. Support local businesses!!! read more

Never had I ever had the experience I've had. I will tell you a story to why I need to dish out a one star review to this poor business. Once upon a time New Hartford gave birth to a new Business where the food was delicious and the peanuts were plentiful. Move a few years in advance post covid. Me and my friends decide to enjoy a meal out on the town after spending 20 dollars on gas to get there and back home. I ordered the ribs and my friend got the pulled pork. What he received was not pork or neither was it pork it had to be squirrel that he was given. He became are two bites and gave me a look. I also spent 8 dollars on 5 shrimp and a roll. Upset as I was after that I took a bite off my fall off the bone rib. I ate the first rib the meat was not meat as it was more of a squishy alien goo covered by bbq sauce from down under. We left sad and confused spending 100 on a meal that we were very upset about. Shoutout to our waitress who was absolutely perfect besides no silver ware. My friend ate his salad with chopsticks he widdled from a chunk of the table. Besides that we will never give another dollar to this business unless it the rolls because that was the most decent thing we received. Also I did not make it a mile before having to destroy the market 32 bathroom and lay waist to what they call a restroom. Also I believe another poor sap went through the same thing I did because what I saw I don't wish on any other man. This man had gone through so much pain that he ripped the toilet dispenser off the stall and proceeded to shit on the floor due to his agony. My husband and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner this evening. We used the app to get on the wait list and were texted to come in for our table at 4:20. The restaurant opened at 4:00. We were told to stand "on deck" for the next available table. The problem was that all tables in the restaurant were just seated 20 minutes before. In the past we would stay in our car until our table was ready. The new seating method forced us to stand in a line for 35 minutes until a table was finished with their dinner. We could have been sitting comfortably in our car. The restaurant chose to make us stand for 35 minutes instead of them having to wait 2 minutes for us to come in from the car. I felt very devalued as a customer. We did talk to the manager at the end of our meal. She didn't offer and apology or any indication to change this terrible policy. Our wait staff were very attentive and our dinner was good. I would urge Texas Roadhouse to change their policy and only call the guest in for a table when the table has finished their meal and paid their bill. read more

Excellent restaurant. Even though it is a chain store it has upheld a great degree of standards. It is almost always busy so there could be a wait anywhere from 15min-1h; fortunately we never had to wait for more than 15min since we called ahead both times. Parking is a breeze since there is a huge outside lot. With its happy hour starts from 16:00-18:00, allowing $9.99 full course meals and half price drinks, nothing can beat it. Further, the servers will do periodic dances to lighten up the mood, in addition to singing happy birthday songs or performing for special occasions of the group. The prime rib and rib eyes are a must try for meat lovers and their peach tea is also wonderfully flavorful with a tinge of fragrance in the drinks. Came with family and had a large meal and everything was great. I would especially like to recommend Nedjad, our server for both visits luckily. Not only did he remember us on our second visit, he is very polite and friendly, extremely attentive to any of our needs including drink and bread refills, and even offered us his own Hotspot so we could download our Texas Roadhouse App for the free appetizer. He is an exemplary server and any restaurant would be fortunate to have him. He is part of the reason we would be returning to this location, in addition to great food of course. Very disappointed Group of 6 so a sizable check total and the first bite of mashed potatoes my husband had a long hair hanging from his fork pulling out of the potatoes. Pretty disgusting and manager came over, never even acknowledged the problem but brought him another bowl of potatoes , not that it was any longer appetizing and did not get eaten. That was it. No apology, nothing. The men went out after dinner and I flagged the waitress and she got the young manager. I asked if that was truly it, no discount, no complimentary dessert, free drink....he said "typically if it was a food that needs time to prepare there would be but not something so quickly replaced." I ordered the Ft. Worth Ribeye 14oz medium smothered in mushrooms and sautéed onions and it was delicious! Ambiance was great and our waitress Alyssa was phenomenal, she was very attentive and I couldn't ask for a better server.
