Tony and I took the baby to lunch at Texas Roadhouse in Parkersburg this afternoon after his Lung Scan. We were seated and greeted immediately and our waitress was super friendly and so personable! She was so nice to the baby! Calliope ordered magic n cheese w steak fries and milk for her bottle. She still has issues w sipping cups! Tony and I both ordered med rare 6oz Sirloins w side salad and baked potatoes w butter & sour cream. I went with 1000 Island dressing on side and Tony double Ranch dressing on side. Calliope was not a big fan of the Mac n cheese but she loved the fries!! I had an unsweetened iced tea w lemon no limes on hand and Tony had a Budweiser in a bottle. The meal was awesome and steaks cooked perfectly! Highly recommend restaurant and wait staff!! Definitely going again!! Total was $18.85 after we used our $25 gift card and I gave her a tip of $6 Definitely going back again!! read more

My wife and I just sat down for dinner when we felt water dripping on us. It was clearly coming from the roof above us. Dripps were hitting the table. The servers idea to fix it was put a napkin on it. Instead of moving us to a new table we had to slide next to the wall and hope it didn't hit my drink or food. She also said "yeah it's doing that all day" hope Noone gets sick. Seems like a pretty big health issue to me. I get it was after 9pm when we went in to eat but floor was used napkins and food on the floor too. Ambiance not that great... every time she brought food she stuck it where it was dripping.... ugh read more

When going to a Texas Roadhouse you typically get the same quality of food, this place is the exception to the rule for Texas roadhouses. I visit the area for work frequently and have been here two times and will not return. The first visit, my salad arrived after my meal and my steak that was ordered medium, arrived rare. No big deal this trip, things happen. One week later, steak again ordered medium arrived rare. I sent it back this time and come back very dry and still not medium. I left half of the steak after chewing it as much as I could. On my way out at least 8-10 employees standing at the host stand. The location was not busy either, this was before 4:00 pm.This is not how any other Texas Roadhouse performs, there is a standard that is not being met at this location. Sink in women's restroom backed up water standing. Approached booth of employees to alert of issue and feel like waste of my breath. Absolutely terrible! The waitress was fantastic. The filet minon was delicious. Everything was good except for the ribs. We ordered the ribs to take home, so we didn't try them at the restaurant. Later that evening, we tried to eat the ribs. They were TERRIBLE. The outside was so overcooked that it was crunchy, while the inside was so dry that I nearly choked trying to swallow it. Texas road house has always been my go to chain steak place! This one was probably the cleanest I've been to. Very friendly greeting at the front door as always. Beer glasses were ice cold, steak was cooked perfect and Bri the bartender was super nice, checks in at the right times and is a busy bee she is constantly working and cleaning so good job to her! Plenty of TVs to watch in the bar area and music is at the right volume to enjoy your time. I'd never been to texas roadhouse before (we don't have any in portland) and I wanted so desperately to try the rolls with cinnamon butter. We were there on a Saturday night and it was PACKED. We called ahead and still had to wait 20ish minutes. However, we were seated and service was super fast. The rolls lived up to their hype and the steaks were perfectly cooked and cheap. I'm shocked that this location only had 32 reviews. I've traveled all over the country and spent tons of time in Florida and Portland and there is never a great place to get an affordable steak! Texas Roadhouse is few and far between our west! So whenever I'm back home I always make it a point to get here a few times! It is always slammed packed, but it's worth the bit of a wait. The service is always great and the staff is polite. The area is always clean and the food usually comes very fast! I always get a Caesar steak salad and it is amazing! They also have great burgers and steaks and apps! The best fried pickles and rattlesnake bites! Overall this is one of my favorite spots to go to in Parkersburg. Overall great service, great speed, consistent quality of food, and good positions. All for a reasonable price. I'll be back! read more

Now enter Texas Roadhouse which I have been two twice in the past couple of months while in town. This place is legit!! I had the bone in rib-eye the first time and the fillet the second time. Both had great flavor and were cooked perfect. The staff up front is always hopping but nice. The wait staff is very good and seem to enjoy the it jobs. If you have been there you know what I mean. 3 out of the 4 people in our party ordered the 6oz Dallas Filet. We were all looking forward to a soft, melt in your mouth steak experience. Then they came. They weren't thick and luscious. They were thin and dry, and more like two pieces. I was completely confused and thought they served us the wrong cut, but once I flagged down our server, she went back to ask, and they told her they "butterflied" the filets. I don't know who made that decision to take a great cut of meat and dry it out, but she passed along the message that we wanted it cooked the regular way--nice and thick--and they came out great, but we obviously had to wait quite a bit longer than expected. Once the orders were correct, the food was really good. I basically just wanted to warn anyone who is craving a filet to make sure you ask that they don't butterfly it. They just don't care about "well done". You're going to get your steaks and burgers "medium" and that's too bad, if you're carry out. Also your sides are going to be trash. It's not good food. The service is usually pretty good when my family and I go but there have been special cases since it never seems to be the same people working when we go. Ate here a few days ago. Was on a business trip and ironically this was the best place in town that I could find. Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite BBQ places to eat at.
