I travel for work and will try bbq every where I go this was pure disappointment taste like the boiled the ribs no flavor and lack of taste. Went to Full Moon around 7ish and had a great experience overall! I usually get the riblets but opted for the catfish -- it had a little more breading than I prefer, but it was still really good. I wanted the collard greens, but they were out (along with a few other items). The food came out hot and pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My mom got the riblets, and they gave her way more than she usually gets when ordering through the drive-thru. Will be back for my usual!! read more

The vibe inside thin done and the other one are both a cool place to hangout with a group of friends or even sit by yourself bc there are tons of TVs that have various diff sports games on them. This particular Full Moon BBQ location was a good stop on a recent business trip through Alabama. I have to say that I have been to Full Moon BBQ in the past and I really like their baked potatoes stuffed with pork. Since I am trying to lose a few pounds, this tome I went with the pork with vinegar slaw and greens. The woman at the counter where I placed my order was outgoing and friendly and we enjoyed a bit of small talk as I placed my order. Full Moon BBQ also has a nice ambiance to it. My food was brought to me in no time flat and the portion of pork was pretty substantial. It was also good. I have always enjoyed Full Moon BBQ and this is definitely a location that should make Full Moon BBQ proud. All in all, I had a great experience at this Full Moon BBQ and I would definitely recommend here to anyone looking for a good meal. And if you don't mind splurging a bit on the calories, go for one of their loaded baked potatoes. It is definitely worth the caloric intake. I have been going to Full Moon BBQ for about five years. For about the last year I have gone thru drive thru. The lady there is great. Always gets my order right and is very nice and always thanks me for coming in. I always get the smoked turkey sandwich with out red sauce and ask for white sauce on the side. Today 12/8 I ordered the same sandwich and when I got home and opened the sandwich I was surprised .The meat was less than half the thickness that I have always gotten in the past and had a very hard outside edge on It. I got the Big Baker with brisket, fried green tomatoes, and deviled eggs. My favorite thing was the baked potato even though I didn't even eat half. I definitely should have added chow-chow though. The fried green tomatoes were good. The deviled eggs weren't worth it to me. There wasn't much taste. I love deviled eggs so I'm picky. I got coconut cream pie to go to eat later and it was fantastic. Others I was with got key lime and said it was good but could have used a little more key lime taste. Service was super quick. Happened to stop here on our way through town. Such friendly service!!! The food was delicious. Wife and I agree these are the best baked beans we have ever had in our lives. Mac & Cheese was ok, yummy but no baked crust. Brisket was incredible and well worth a reorder. Ribs were a little fatty but tasty in their own right! This review is based on the drive through experience only, I have not dined inside this location as of yet. Arrived at about 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon, to my surprise the line wasn't long at all, in fact non-existent. Same menu that I've seen at the two or three other locations that I've been to before. This trip, keep it simple - I was driving by and saw a Full Moon and got the craving for one of their sweet teas. Service was quick and friendly and I was in and out in no time at all. Really the only negative would be that they consider the sweet tea to be a version of rare mineral at the prices they charge .... but it is pretty good. Need to come back and check out the food and see if they are as good as the other locations. read more

So very disappointed in myself for ignoring the reviews and giving this place a shot. Nothing was positive. Young man taking order had no idea what buttons to push. We got two sandwiches thinking they would be less messy than the nachos. Wrong. The buns just crumbled to bits. We ordered to go and something seemed off so I stopped at the door. They brought over one, then two sandwiches and the Mac n'cheese. The pork tastes as if they scraped the bottom of a warmer and took off hard pieces of burnt pork. The brisket was dry. The fries undercooked and cool. The Mac n'cheese tasted of uncooked onion powder. The loaded back potato was uneatable. The outside inch was hard as a rock, it was cold so the margarine nor cheese would melt. This was all at noon. The ambience was that of an old run down McDonald's Dirty tables, a bar of water with bottles of BBQ sauce floating in it. What a mess. I went to full moon and got lemon pepper wings and fried tomatoes. The full moon on 280 has the best staff ever and they are always so patient. Inside is always so clean and has a nice set up. My only complaint is that this time was food was not as good. Typically it is a 10/10, but the day I went the fried tomatoes barely had any tomatoes and I believe my wings were slightly overcooked. We decided to order rib plates for the two of us. Ribs were ok flavor wise. They did have lots of meat but seemed dry. They put our plates in bag and put the one with greens on top. They did not drain juice and it spilled over into the bottom container with fried green tomatoes making them soggy. The cornbread muffin was a joke! It was a mini muffin. Food was decent but not the best we have had. We will continue to get their bbq sandwich which was good. Need to put greens in a sealed container or lets juice!! Full Moon Inverness is reasonable consistent. I wish they would serve shoe-string French Fries and ask if you want your bbq sliced on the family combination meals. I will keep going back but will learn to specify other sides after this trip. The Chow Chow is one of the reasons I'm such a fan. I let the order taker talk me out a Chow Chow side because a spoon or so comes with the meal. Will not let that happen again. The greens were mediocre at best, the fries are not what I would order again. I'm sure some like this style. The baked beers were really good. The bbq brisket was ok but I doubt I would order again. I loved the white barbecue sauce the pork was dry, in my opinion. They didn't give me enough sauce for my sandwich.

My most recent meal here was the worst BBQ meal I've ever had. I just hate that I used a gift card on this bad of a meal. The brisket on the sandwich I got was hard, chewy, and resembled crockpot cooked stringy roast beef than actual brisket. I could only manage to eat half of the sandwich before throwing it away. The onion rings were cold and the hot link appetizer should have been named a cold link. The past few weeks I've been considering getting a part time job somewhere. Full Moon was one of my options, but seeing how the manager was talking down and being snippy to the employees in just my short time there was enough for me to not want to consider working there. read more

Figured I'd give Full Moon a shot since I try to eat at as many BBQ places I can. The reviews looked solid so I tried it out. I ordered the two meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. It comes with 2 sides, I chose fried green tomatoes and collard greens. The BBQ was solid. I'd give the ribs a 7/10, tender and good flavor. I'd order them again. The pulled pork is a 9/10. It was great, good smoke flavor and tender. I'll come back for the pulled pork alone. The sides were great. The fried green tomatoes are 10/10, these tasted homemade and just incredible. The collard greens were 8/10, I would give it higher but homemade greens get a 10/10 for me so 8 is pretty high for me! Finish off your meal with their cookies, rates on Alabama's 100 things to try before you die. It's a chocolate chip cookie dipped in chocolate. So good. I'll be back for more! read more

I went thru the drive thru and ordered the pork nachos to go. I was excited to try them given the positive reviews and awesome pictures. The first couple of bites I thought the taste was off but I thought it was because I needed to spread the queso and toppings around. Nope it was because each chip has a salt layer on the back. Not just a few. Each and every one of those chips had too much salt. The salt was so over powering I could not finish. It ruined the cheese and everything around it. I ended up just scraping the meat off the top and made a pork sandwich. The pork was really flavorful and I wish I just ordered a sandwich. Please watch the salt on the chips. read more

Ever since I first had the BBQ baked potatoes here, I don't think I've ordered anything else. The Big Baker (two potatoes put together, in actuality) is enormous, and is nearly heavy enough to break through the bottom of the styrofoam container they serve it in. Because of the size of the potato, there usually is not enough sauce or sour cream to go around unless you order extra, which leaves the potato pretty dry. The flimsy plastic cutlery they gave me with my meal was a bit of a waste; the forks always break when mixing the potato together. I usually just take the potato to-go and use my own toppings and cutlery at home. The drive-through is pretty slow, but not too bad; the convenience of it is nice. The employees were all wearing masks, as expected. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been. read more

This was my second time at the Full Moon BBQ and it was definitely a good decision coming. My whole party had the ribs and we split some of their wings. I ordered the half rack with a side of fried okra and Mac and cheese. I was also really excited to come back because of the sweet tea. I love a good sweet tea and was not disappointed. As for the sides the fried okra was really good but instead of Mac and cheese, next time I would go with the collard greens. The ribs had a lot of sauce and were very filling. I only tried one wing but it was delicious. The staff was very nice and there was a lot of room inside.
