If you know me, you know Texas Roadhouse is in my list of top 5 restaurants. As usual, it was really crowded, but I used the app and joined the wait list, which was 55-65 minutes. Once I arrived, we had another 5 minute wait, which was pretty good. Since there were only 2 in my party we were seated on the isle which leads to the bathrooms, the staff use to get to the kitchen and the route they use to get to the bar, so it was very annoying with so many people walking by. The food was tasty as usual, and the drinks were perfect. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

I feel an updated review is appropriate since my last review was based on a to go order. Also, the last time I had food from here was before the pandemic so I'm sure most want to know how they are handling Covid-19. My family and I stopped by here on yesterday. There are signs on the door that advise that masks are required. They also say that parties are limited to no more than 6 people. Additionally, they are limiting the number of patrons in the restaurant. All of these things made me feel safe enough to try a dine in experience. The restaurant was not packed to capacity. They had us spread out and the restaurant has installed plexiglass on each booth. All the employees were wearing their masks. Most were wearing them correctly. I only saw one employee who was not covering her nose with her mask, but she eventually adjusted it. Our server was super nice! My husband ordered ribeye. I had a half slab of ribs. My oldest son had mini cheeseburgers and my younger son had the kid's rib meal. We all enjoyed our food! Everything was brought out hot and fresh. Texas Roadhouse customers, be aware. I paid the bill tonight for 6 family members. I used the funky gadget on the table. I selected a % for the tip. After I got home & looked over the bill I discovered they compute the tip including the tax. That is a RIP OFF. It should be criminal. I have noticed a few other restaurants do the same. Visited the Pelham, Al location today for the Veterans Day special . Before arriving i called the store to make sure there were enough vouchers left before making the drive and was told that there were enough vouchers left. However, the employee refused to tell me how many vouchers were left and continuously told me that depending how far i was i may or may not get one . I explained that i was only 20 minutes away and he reassured me that i would receive one. Needless to say upon arriving i was told that vouchers were all gone and that i could dine in instead. My expectation was that the meal would still be free to honor Veterans Day . However, i was told by my server that i could choose from a select menu only for a cheaper price . My meal was not comped . The manager did not visit my table and no apologies were made for this experience . If you all are going to honor veterans then you should honor us all in the same manner . I've been cooking a lot since March. Now, May, 2020 and I needed a break so food truck one day and Texas Roadhouse the next. I decided to order from the restaurant's Mother's Day menu. I called to make sure my order would go over as I wanted two of one item and confirmed it with Brian, who rocks by the way!!! Curbside to special delivery to my mom. Food was packed securely for me to travel. I ordered 2 slabs of ribs, 3lbs of pork butt, a dozen order of rolls, and 1/2 gallon of strawberry lemonade. Oh my, everything was delicious, fall off the bone ribs and awesome pork butt. My mom made the sides of baked beans, collard greens, and potato salad. In the words of one of my aunts, that was "some good eatin." Went to Texas Roadhouse last night for a late dinner. We normally have great service and a great steak when we go to there. Tonight was a disappointment. Our waitress looked disappointed that we arrived at 830pm, they close at 9pm. I ordered my normal 16 oz ribeye cooked medium, with fresh veggies and a salad. My salad came out immediately and was good as always. But it took quite a long time for our meal to come out. Our veggies were over steamed and soggy. And they only contained 2 pieces of broccoli and the rest carrots, very disappointing. The steak was cook medium in the middle, as ordered but the outside was overly crispy, lots of dark bark. When taking a bite, the meat was very dry, not juicy as in the past visits. Disappointing visit as I have always had a great meal here before. Hoping it was just the late hour. read more

I know I've been to this place before, but it's been so many years that I can't even remember when it was. Decided to stop in today and give them a try and overall I came out pretty impressed. It's sort of a laid back steakhouse kind of place. A little of everything on the menu. Some bar food type appetizers, (fried pickles, cheese fries etc) ribs, bbq, a variety of steaks etc. Something for everyone. The service today was outstanding. The place was moderately busy and there wasn't even the slightest hiccup. Great execution on that. I felt like half the employees in the place must have stopped by and asked if everything was good and how I was doing etc. Super nice people. I ordered a NY strip with mashed potatoes and corn. Simple, easy. It came out cooked literally, exactly the way I wanted it. I said, "on the rare side of medium rare" and they nailed it. Cut easy, very tender and flavorful and worth, in my opinion, more than it cost. So excellent value there. So overall a solid place for a good meal. Not too fancy, not trying to hang on the cutting edge of culinary creativity or trends. Just good, solid food and prices that are surprising given the quality of what they have. The food is great, friendly and timely service, and a manager always comes around making sure everything is ok. You can see why there's such a long wait to be seated on weekend nights. On our way back home to the panhandle we met my daughter and her boyfriend here for lunch. The drinks were typical for a chain restaurant bar. Decent. We always order top shelf just because. The drinks weren't as good as my drinks I make at home, or even as good as my local B&G but they were good. Everyone had a filet cooked medium rare. They were spot on. We were promptly greeted as we walked in the door and sat immediately. We had an awesome server named Brooke. She was very attentive and sweet. We requested rolls as we were seated and before we could even get in our booth good, the hot and fresh rolls were on the table! We ordered a 16 oz sirloin cooked medium rare and a side order of grilled shrimp with a side Caesar salad and mixed veggies. The salad was delicious! The lettuce was crisp and the flavor was on point! When our entree came out, we received a ribeye instead of a sirloin. Our server was busy so I reached over the wall and flagged down a guy. Turns out, he was the manager on duty. I politely explained the issue and he agreed that we were brought the wrong steak so he had us take our shrimp off the plate and he took the steak to the kitchen. Within just a few minutes, we had the correct steak on a plate in front of us with a fresh side of shrimp, which we didn't ask for, but greatly appreciated! Brooke as well as the manager checked with us to make sure the steak was cooked as we requested. The steak was not only cooked to perfection, but it was one of the BEST tasting steaks we've ever had! It was so delicious that we requested to shake the hand of the grill guy and D (the manager) actually brought him out of the kitchen so we could personally thank him and commend him! Texas Roadhouse is a solid safe pick for our family. Everyone will find something they like and there are several "ya can't go wrong" options on the menu. This location is generally pretty busy on the weekends so we always take advantage of call ahead seating. Using this, we've always been seated within 10 mins of arrival. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Amber was our server today; she was a Gem! The food is well seasoned (they're heavy with the salt in my opinion - but not crazy). This is one of my favorite chains. Not because it is the best but because it is consistently good at all of them that I have been to in multiple states. I have been to other steak houses and spent 4 times as much on steaks that weren't half as good. 90% of the time, we have had great waitresses. There have only been a few times that service was just meh, and I'll say it was due to it being a busy day. It's a good place to go catch a game. I brought two of my clients with special needs that wanted to have a date with each other. The food was good, yet the waitress was not very accommodating. She never came to ask to refill drinks, or if they wanted anything else. It felt like she ignored them because of their handicap. I did not tip her on their behalf, because when you go to a restaurant on a date you should be made to feel special. After we left the restaurant, I had to stop and get them drinks because they were still thirsty. I later called the restaurant and talked to the manager and told him about this situation. He was nice and apologized, but I want it to be known that it's not always about the money. The people that works for this company should treat everyone like they would want to be treated like themselves. I gave a 3 star review because the food was excellent but the service deserved a 1 star, if not less. Went there with some friends recently. Everything was tasty we had the blooming onion or whatever they call it, cheese fries, & boneless Buffalo wings/chicken tenders for appetizers. For the entrée My wife had the fillet, she ordered medium, but received a medium well. I went with a ribeye that I ordered medium and got medium well also and the others who ordered steak theirs were over cooked as well. All were still very good, but man it would have been so much better cooked to medium. Sometimes it could be a new cook or just not paying attention at that moment. The server was very nice. It had been a while since I had been to a steakhouse and ordered steak. My fiancee insisted on eating here since she had been here plenty of times, and with the dining room reopened, it was a date. We had to wait for about 40 minutes, but we were seated and served in an orderly fashion. I did not live near a Texas Roadhouse when I was young, so I had to get used to the menu (which is now, smartly, accessible through using a QR reader on a smartphone) and the bread offerings. For a reasonable price, I got a good cut of sirloin, a baked potato and caesar salad, which were all fantastic! It felt good to have my typical steak dinner with someone else cooking for a change. I was also impressed with the Cactus Blossom appetizer (reminded me of another popular chain's offering, but with a little less grease in my opinion) and the rolls with cinnamon butter. Next time I'm craving a steak, I'll definitely consider Texas Roadhouse. I'm just glad we were able to dine after months of ordering to go. New to this area. Been there several times and days usually the service is great and other days it's just good. The employees that seat you don't listen to your requests as to where or why you need to be seated in certain places. The food is always hot and fresh, steaks have always been perfectly cooked and flavorful, salads have been fresh no browned lettuce or mushy tomatoes and most other sides are fresh. From the mumbling waitress to the salty fried pickles I was disappointed from beginning to end. The waitress mumbled everything to us and I had to ask her to repeat almost everything she said until she acted like SHE was aggravated. Then she wished away without waiting for a response from me or my husband. I asked for some Mayo. She mumbled that she would be right back with it. Then she came back and said they were opening a box. Then she came back and said that they were out. She said could she get me another thing. I said no it's what I eat with my fries she said what about honey mustard. I'm like oh bless your heart those are not the same flavor pallets at all. I politely declined. My burger was supposed to be medium well (little pink in the middle) with the onions well sautéed because raw onions hurt my stomach. Alas and alak! Neither were true for my poor early lunch.
