I had such a great experience at Texas Roadhouse. Honestly, it was the best steak I've had in a long time. It was cooked exactly how I asked, perfectly seasoned, and so tender and juicy. Every bite was just spot on. You can tell they care about the quality of their food. What really made the night though was our server, Haylee. She was hands down one of the nicest and sweetest servers I've had in a very long time. She was so friendly from the start, checked on us at the perfect times, and just had such a genuine, positive attitude. She made us feel welcome and taken care of the whole time. Stopped by for a Christmas Eve dinner with my family. Our waitress was amazing. She was at the top of her game. But the food was not up to the same standards. The combination appetizer platter was not what I had expected. The plate was bigger than you'd expect for what was on it. It looked like I should have had more appetizers on it than we received. It looked half full. I ordered the Rib Eye and the 1/2 rack of ribs combo. I ordered my rib eye medium rare. I cut into my steak and it was cooked well done. Even the waitress looked embarrassed when she saw it. I asked for a new rib eye. It was delivered by the GM of the restaurant with his apology. The bad part of the deal was it took over 30 minutes for my newly cooked rib eye to arrive at my table. The rest of my family had finished eating their dinner. I had to take it home with me in a to-go box. I ate it Christmas morning. The rib eye they chose to cook for me a second time was an extremely fatty cut. 1/2 of my rib eye was pure with fat. I could tell they decided to eff me with a terrible cut. That pissed me off. My son ordered the Red Chili bowl. It was extremely greasy. There was a floating layer of oil on the top of the chili. Our margaritas did not have the extra shot ordered in the plastic tube. All 4 margaritas were not delivered to us as ordered. The bartender played dumb. The GM took $13.99 off of my rib eye order. It didn't seem to make me feel any better I must say. The Texas Roadhouse is not up to par here in Somerset. The service was great, the food was not. Personally, I won't return unless invited by a friend or family. It will not go back by my own choice. I smoke a better rib eye at home. Take a hard pass on this Somerset location. They do not know how to cook a great cut of steak. But they do know how to murder a steak, that's a fact. Averaging 2.7 stars says it all. More than 50% of their customers leave unhappy. The GM should take a hard look at getting better cooks. Maybe he needs to take that hard look at himself. 2.7 stars is a failing grade in my book for a National Restaurant chain. read more

If I could give zero I would. There was a fried FLY in our cactus blossom! FLY!!! Wings and all!!!! The server was great and apologetic but the manager wasn't very helpful at all. The bad is if you don't call ahead you normally will have a very long wait. The rolls are outstanding. The food is mediocre. Terrible service! Won't be back at this location. I ordered beef tips, plain. No mushroom gravy and no onions. The waitress seemed so confused when I ordered it. So that should've been my sign that it would be wrong. A guy brought the food out and when I told the waitress it was wrong she looked like a deer in headlights. No apologies either. Well, my family ate their food while I sat there waiting for my steak tips to come out and by the time they did, my food was cold. I think the kitchen manager brought them out and he had an attitude about it. It's not my fault the waitress can't get an order right. The second order of tips came out and was nothing but fat. The waitress told us to just keep the old steak tips, so my husband actually picked a couple pieces out of it and when the prick kitchen manager came out, he grabbed the bowl and took off with them. lol. No doubt in my mind they got heated up and given to another customer. My husband later asked for a manager. He comes out and he has an attitude. To be honest I have always hesitated in the past to order from here, curbside especially! i have never gotten an order right and half of the stuff miss I g. They would always tie it up and couldn't check if. Tonight however was the BEST experience I've had with them at this location. I don't know if this is the new norm. But if so, ill be a frequent flyer. The young man brought out our food and told us to check and make sure we had everything while he stood there checking on our day. The last time I ate here, we dined inside and everything about the meal was delicious, hot, cooked perfectly, and the service was great. However, I recently got curbside service and was extremely disappointed. I ordered my steak medium well, a baked potato, and steamed broccoli. The steak was completely inedible. I'm not being picky when I say that. The steak was red-not pink-but red. Medium well is supposed to be mostly grey with a little pink-not red! If you prefer your steak more on the rare side, red is fine but I DON'T! That's why I didn't order it that way. The broccoli was yellow and looked like old broccoli that wasn't very fresh before it was steamed. I lost my appetite completely. I ended up giving the entire meal to my friend who prefers a medium rare steak. It was a waste of $20.00. I didn't call and complain that night because I had guests but the next day, I did call. They didn't offer a replacement meal or even an I'm sorry. They simply stated there was nothing they could do because I hadn't called the evening before when I received the nasty meal. If this is how their customer service is, it will be my last time dining inside or curbside at Texas Roadhouse. First let me say we travel all over and Texas Roadhouse is always where we go for a steak because of service, and food consistency. However, this particular location is the absolute worse! The service is always par, they are always out of food or drink items. I went two days in a row. Tuesday I got the 8 oz filet ordered medium, it came out MR. No biggie I took it home and ate it later. Wednesday after being on the water all day it was late I didn't feel like cooking. I passed Cumberland Grill because they close at 9 and it was almost 8. I got to TR a few minutes after 8. The bartender came right over and asked what I wanted to drink. I got a water and told her I knew what I wanted. I ordered the blossom, salad no crouton, no egg ranch on the side baked pot with butter and sour cream only. 6 oz filet. This is the same thing I get every time alternating the sides. I was the only person at the bar. There were two other tables seated with patrons and one with the bartenders family where she was joining them in between tending the bar. 30 minutes pass and no onion, no salad. The bartender comes over and asked if I need anything. I asked her to check on my Blossom because at this point I felt I would get everything at once. She goes to the kitchen and comes back with the blossom. I go to eat it and it's cold. I push it aside and tell her when she comes back to check. I even picked up a piece for her to touch so she knew I wasn't just being cranky. She asked if I wanted it remade and I said yes but I did t want all my food at once. She said my steak was almost up so I said just take it off. She returns with my steak but no salad. I cut into the steak and the meat was cold on the inside the potato was loaded. I pushed it to the side and another lady asked what was wrong . I told her the food was wrong and I was leaving. By this time it is 9. I am very hungry all the while as a paying patron . I don't care that the servers were eating. But as a paying patron I should not have to watch the bartender and other servers enjoy her meal while mine sits in the kitchen getting cold. It takes less than 10 minutes to get a blossom. When I order at any other TR my salad is out in 5. This is by far the worse managed TR we have ever gone to and it is consistently so. The food is consistently off and the service is always poor. I will be contacting corporate because we don't have this problem at any other TR. bartenders are there to tend bar. Servers are there to serve guest. I have served and worked in the industry for many years. I would have never brought out cold food. In fact I was trained to serve each table on a time scale to ensure proper service. If my guest had waited 15 minutes without food I would have gotten a manager. It is extremely annoying that no one takes pride in their jobs anymore. Serving is a respectable job but patrons should not have to contend with this kind of poor service. When the family is divided on what to eat for dinner, it's Texas Roadhouse to the rescue Some chose baby back ribs and others had a steak with mashed potatoes or a salad and the food was both temperature appropriate visually appealing and delicious . Jordan was our waitress and her service was spot on. Our family drinks a great deal of sweet tea and loves the rolls and she kept us in supply of both by anticipating our needs before we asked. Look I rarely write reviews but I have to share my experience in hopes others are treated better. For context, I ordered the 6oz Dallas Fillet "medium rare" and a side Caesar salad . The first mistake came when I got my steak before the salad. Also to my dismay, the steak was all the way through rare, so rare in fact that even the waiter mentioned how shockingly undercooked it was. With assurance from him that it would come out correctly, he sent it back to the kitchen. Instead of receiving a new steak, I received the same steak (had already cut into it) to find it was again still all the way rare. The waiter looked embarrassed when I cut into again. But, at this point I didn't feel like sending it back a second time. I didn't have a meat thermometer on me . However, it looked like in the low 120°F and on the verge of blue rare. A solid 1 star for the food experience. Hopefully the next guy that orders a medium rare steak will get it cooked properly. read more

Absolutely fine for what it is, a chain restaurant. It's exactly what you expect. That said it was not too bad of a wait to get in on a Friday night. The service was acceptable and the food was good. Nothing was over the top or just blew me away which is why the 3 star rating. One thing I didn't care for is the layout which is the same in all of this chain...the pathways to get to the tables are lined with POS entry stations and there's always the feeling of having to claw your way through the place. I've been to this Texas Roadhouse many times and I feel like my experience has either been great or it has been awful. Rarely has there been an in-between. I feel like when the restaurant first opened that the service and food were great. The food at Texas Roadhouse has been great in the past. Unfortunately it's just very inconsistent. During our last trip things were just very bad. We got the wrong drinks, we weren't given plates for the bread or appetizer, a well-done steak came out medium, steamed vegetables were raw, beef kabobs were tough and chewy, and they completely forgot to make one person's meal - so his food came out 10 minutes after everyone else. Honestly, it was just too much. They weren't busy and most of the problems weren't the server's fault - it was the kitchen. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is that I know it has the potential to be much better. They just need to get it together. read more

Ok so I typically don't go to Texas Roadhouse, not my favorite restaurant, but my girlfriend loves it so we ended up coming tonight. The food surprisingly was pretty decent this time even tho it took to long to come out. The thing that probably saved the bad review tonight was your waitress Beth. She was such a nice lady, enjoyed talking to her and kept checking up on us a lot which made the night feel better.
