Wasn't too happy unfortunately with this location. Came in on a Thursday for a dinner and left underwhelmed. The waitress wasn't a bad waitress at all. She was cool. However she did not ask one of us in our party how we wanted our steak and the kitchen defaulted to well done. It took (as a manager stated) 15 minutes on top of the already 25 minutes we waited for our food to get a replacement. Because of this, one person from our party didn't get to enjoy dinner with us and had to take their food home. The manager did not even discount us for this. Just gave a generic "it takes 13-15 minutes to cook a so and so style steak". They could have discounted or gave something as a courtesy due to this mistake. The rolls don't taste the same. They don't taste like fresh hot rolls, they taste like pre made in the freezer buns. They are also small. The ribs don't taste grilled either. They taste boiled and then on the grill for a few minutes to get grill marks. Very disappointing that I have rewards account, but there are no real rewards to redeem as well. Whenever I go to Texas Roadhouse, I love the pricing and portion sizes you get for the quality of the food. This visit I decided to try a new mocktail on the menu called "Tropical Breeze." This mocktail has coconut, mango, blue Curacao, sour mix, and club soda. It had a slight melon taste from the mixture but I enjoyed it. Our server was friendly and brought us multiple baskets of rolls (our favorite dish lol). For my food I got the 8 oz sirloin medium rare (I get this every time) and they cooked it perfectly. The sweet potato was cooked thoroughly (soft and mushy). My boyfriend had the fried pickles and said they tasted good, as well. I'd definitely return to this location and recommend it, but I will say that the space is a bit tight so it is hard to navigate if you use any mobility aids/are handicapped. read more

One of my favorite chains around. The hot rolls and cinnamon butter are life changing but where else can you get a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, 6 shrimp, and 2 sides for $32?? The Caesar salad was pretty lackluster, and the apple dessert was so overly sweet with the fake syrup they drench it in but otherwise it was a very delicious and filling meal. This was the perfect stop after a long work day for the early dining special! I've had wonderful experiences at other locations, and my first time at the Sterling Heights location did not disappoint. The bar staff took excellent care of me and served my food promptly and with a smile, and were very kind and attentive. I like Texas Roadhouse but am not a regular diner here. Funny enough I drive by this place all the time and finally stopped in. If you've seen one Texas Roadhouse, you've seen them all! LOL. While not the cheapest steak house, I like the consistency of knowing what to expect walking in. The menus huge and the bread with their butter is pretty good. Our server was excellent on getting us where we needed to go, and I ended up getting a 6 ounce steak with mashed potatoes and a ceasar salad. I don't remember what my friend had, but we both really enjoyed our meals here. We purposely came here during lunch hour because dinner here can be a very painful and long wait. Why only three stars? I don't know, Even though I like dining here from time to time, it's not my got-to place for meals. Some of the more corporate steak houses kind of blend together for me, and even though they each offer something slightly different, they still kind of come off a bit the same. I never have had a problem with the food or service. We like going for the meal deals until 5pm. Even coming at 4pm on a weekend, there might be up to an hour wait. This is a really popular place! Usually a manager checks in during the meal, I appreciate that. read more

Had real nice experience at this location. Join the waitlist had to wait 5 extra minutes big whoop. But also I was only in there waiting 10 minutes because I still had to drive there. We had a free appetizer card that was given to us. First thing we get the basket of rolls with the butter those things are fantastic. We ordered the blooming onion. It was more crisp than usual which I liked. Then I had the house salad with French dressing veggies were fresh and croutons crunchy all you ask for. The dressing was good. My entree was 8 oz sirloin with shrimp I ordered well done and it was but was not dry. The shrimp were good with the side of melted butter. Had side of mashed potatoes and gravy with corn. On most days, we love Texas Roadhouse. My wife and I probably come at least once a month. She gets prime rib and I get a rib eye. But today was one of the worst experiences we had coming to this location. Not because the food didn't taste good. It was just inaccurate. They forgot the salad I ordered. I got a prime rib instead of a rib eye. My wife's dad wanted Italian dressing, he brought ranch. He was apologetic every time, but at some point instead of apologizing, you need to focus on getting it right. I didn't make a fuss over the prime rib because I was really hungry. A mistake here and there is fine and expected, but there were almost a dozen mistakes made. read more

We went here for a friend's birthday. They called ahead about the table. When we got there the table was too small for everyone so part of the group sat else where. That sucked since we wanted to sit together and were told prior to getting there that they had a big enough table. Well we ordered food and the wait was longer than normal. Once we got our food the wait staff was trying to hurry us up as we were all still eating and she asked if we needed boxes. We had a wonderful celebratory dinner at your Sterling Heights, MI location this evening. Everything about this location is exemplary. The food is consistently delicious, and our server Cody provided incredible service. He almost predicted our requests or refills. As someone who works in HR and recruits and hires employees for a living, all I can say is your management team is on their game with management of cleanliness, food quality, and really remarkable hiring choices. My friends and I visited Saturday for my birthday, and I was really disappointed with the food and service. First, the server kept coming back to the table because she messed up our order which we were kind of okay with because it was 7 of us, but our rolls were cold and then my baked potato was so burnt and looked like it was cooked the day prior. My steak was cold and to make the experience even worst, the waitress Kayla pocketed our money before giving our change. I intended to give her an 18% tip, but she canceled our order to pocket the money and when I asked about my change (I paid in cash) she was clearly agitated by my request. She came back and said that she needed to call a manager to resolve the issue even after I handed her my receipt. It was obvious that she did not intend to put the cash in the register or give me my change! Although I did not appreciate the incident and food, I gave her a tip and she did not even say thank you! I felt that we should have talked to the manager about her dishonesty because people like her are awful and hurt the economy because the restaurant pays money for food, and other overhead expenses and her attitude was crummy and offensive. I did not report her because I did not want to ruin my birthday any more than this experience had done. read more

The bread and cinnamon butter! Need I say anything more? Did you know you can do call ahead seating? We used the service and were seated as soon as we showed up even though there were people waiting. We had steaks which were cooked to our order. The sweet potatoes and the smothered shrimp were delicious additions. I like the pay at the table option; it makes it easy to settle the tab. The best Texas Roadhouse location I have been to to this day. I've been to Texas Roadhouses in Grand Forks ND, the Twin Cities MN, and now this one, and this one is the best by far. The Fort Worth Ribeye was one of the best ribeyes I have ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. Every bite was delicious and so juicy. And don't forget about the buns too! They're amazing as always. The service here is also excellent. I forgot the name of the person who served me, but she was very professional, attentive and quick with everything. Ambiance is what you'd expect it to be at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Staff members dancing, southern US-style music playing, and noisy atmosphere. A huge plus of this restaurant is the ability to pay electronically on a tablet provided at each table - this can save you lots of time. I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in the Metro Detroit area. This location absolutely rocks! read more

I come here often and this review is based on my latest visit which was on a Thursday night around 630 pm. Our food took longer than normal and our salads took so long that our steaks arrived less than 5 minutes later and my mom and I were barely half way through them. Therefore our steaks sat at the table for another 10 minutes getting cold while we finished our salads. On the service side the waiter never checked on us during the meal didn't ask my mom or I if we wanted refills on out cocktails and never cleared our plates until she brought the bill. She didn't even ask us if we were done before bringing the bill. We had planned on getting desert as it was my birthday. By far our worse visit to this restaurant of any location. read more
