5-star service at this restaurant!!! Their entire team is amazing, professional, prompt, efficient and very friendly!!!! The food is over the top super duper delicious!!! I can see why ppl wait for over an hour to get seated here!!! Worth the wait!!!

Well.........ordered the 16 OZ New York Strip "MEDIUM....hot pink center " Damn thing arrive it was room temperature because it obviously sat in the window for ever.... Still F ing raw on the inside not even "rare" sent it back NO RECOOK I gave you a chance to get it right but you failed ...... Went to the restroom.......F ing Disgusting and filthy Employees used gloves all over the floor, trash can overflowing just a nasty place It's obvious management is clueless and has zero credibility in running a restaurant UTTER FAILURE ON MANY TASKS

What a HORRIFIC BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE!! After so many good times going - normally sit at the bar not a table we had an awful experience! So we went for a quicker birthday dinner Ordered simple Meals, didn't seem like they were that busy as we didn't even wait for a table. We ordered ...... My meal came Out with only one side as they said they ran out of rice and were making more. My wife was given a steak with NO SIDES since she ordered rice. They said the rice will be out soon for her and I! After 30 mins of just a steak on my wife's plate which we ordered medium and was just about well done , we asked to see the waitress Asked about the rice she said she would go check, she came back with an answer of, I spoke to the kitchen I'm not to sure what's going on ...... Then we asked for a manager/ told them the issue as she couldn't eat her meal with no sides. Another 25 mjn go by and now they bring her rice and mine.... Didn't even say anything about a new steak. So I asked them for a new steak , since hers she could t eat and was just sitting there. They said yes 35+ minutes late they bring us a new steak ..... now the rice is cold cause it's been so long to get anything ... They brought us a new steak and new rice. I expected some kind of manager service money off or a discount considering we waited over an hour an a half for a full meal.... Didn't offer anything, didn't apologize. Nobody cared! This is a EXTREMLY poor excuse and neglect of customers! Poor service, manager didn't even apologize. Just WOW

It does not matter what time it is at this place, there will always be a wait! You can walk in as soon as they open and there will be a 15 min wait time to sit down lol. We came here for lunch and we did end up waiting a bit. We got sat at a nice booth. Our server was friendly but distant. A few tables got sat after us and they got their food before us. The food is pretty good and their selection of side items are a nice variety. They are the only steakhouse really around in this area. Their food is expensive for what it is. We did have a gift card so this was why we mainly came. It's a good option to have in the area.

I enjoyed being able to put ourselves down on the waitlist from online! We had really good service by Madison! I enjoyed the beef tips and my husband enjoyed the salmon! I definitely recommend getting anything with the mushroom gravy on it. It's so delicious!!! Fun and clean environment!! I have no clue why this place has such bad scores!!!

Our server was fantastic, professional but still fun and easy to talk to. He made great recommendations, and kept things moving at just the right pace so we could actually relax and enjoy ourselves. The food really stood out. We started with the broiled oysters, which were cooked perfectly. The steak tartare was a highlight, especially with the tableside preparation, it well balanced and full of flavor. The steak frites came out just right, and the au poivre sauce was on point. And we couldn't skip dessert, the creme brule was spot on, with perfect crispy top and smooth, creamy center. Overall, just a really solid experience from start to finish.

I started with the broiled oysters (omg) and the osetra duck fat caviar bites, which I will genuinely be dreaming about for a long time. Every bite felt thoughtful and indulgent in the best way. They also have a fantastic wine selection. I had a Chenin Blanc that was completely out of this world and paired beautifully with everything. The bartenders were outstanding--knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. It all came together to make this one of those meals you know you'll remember. If you can grab a seat at the bar, do it. Absolutely worth it.

It was a beautiful day, so we chose to sit outside. It is a gorgeous view and the umbrellas provide plenty of shade. Not wanting leftovers, we chose to share the she crab soup and ribeye steak sandwich. Our waitress, Keera, was very bubbly and friendly. She suggested many different add ons and I chose the creamed corn. My only suggestion would be offering a smaller portion of this dish at lunch. It was delicious and I am glad we tried it. The ribeye sandwich and truffle fries were both exceptional. Having had she crab soups at different NC and SC restaurants, I thought theirs was just ok. Not bad, but nothing to make me want to come back just to order that specific item. Mike, the manager, was very visible throughout our whole lunch and stopped by our table to introduce himself. Overall a very positive first dining experience.

I plan for a big budget meal and am never disappointed. I must say that this experience was totally different, but just as amazing in its own way. My friend was having a work luncheon upstairs and we showed up at the end for her coworkers to meet her baby that we had in tow. We hadn't eaten yet so while they continued on to the next part of their gettogether, we snagged a table at the bar for a quick lunch. We shared the prime rib sliders and a bowl of the French onion soup. The soup was loaded with crispy onion strings on top and tons of caramelized onions down below. The prime rib sliders something I didn't realize I'd be dreaming about later. They were like the tastiest mini cheesesteaks and I could eat a platter of them if given the opportunity. It's great to see Halls from a different perspective and not as only a $500 dinner. This was the least I've ever spent at Halls but I still had an amazing experience. I need to get them on my regular lunch rotation in Charleston so I can try more of the menu.

Not pictured was the charcuterie board and Brie appetizers that were all split and devoured. What was documented was the roasted duck breast with potatoes and asparagus. The duck was roasted perfectly with the skin, crispy for the texture and seasoned divinely. Yall the potatoes were crispy on the outside, well fluffy like little clouds inside, and had a punch of flavor. The asparagus was rich with a butter and lemon note. If a plate could sing! Zero notes. 10/10. My only draw back was I needed a pillow after the meal. Stuffed was I.

I have to disclaim something before I dig in here. I had a five star experience at a good…read morerestaurant. I did not have a five star experience at a five star steakhouse, because this place doesn't serve five star steaks. Here's the nitty gritty: the steak is basically what you get at Roadhouse or Longhorn, honestly. It's wet aged, nothing special on that front. It's good, but so is some of the chain steaks. The pricepoint is in the ballpark of what you're going to pay at Longhorn for a similar cut, so I say if you're trying to decide where to go, pick this place for the extras it brings to the the table. What makes this place five star? Let's jump in. 1. Service. It was frankly some of the best, friendliest, most attentive I've ever had, from the hostess all the way through the waitstaff. 2. Environment. This is a very cool little spot. It's like being a dinner guest at someone's home, because that's what you are. This old house was converted into a restaurant decades ago, and it has character. While some of the decor leans into "cracker-barrel" territory, overall, there are enough cool antiques and other items all around to keep things interesting. The stone walls and fireplaces are also gorgeous. 3. The bar. What a cool, intimate, neat little place. 4. The drinks are not crazy prices and they're quite good, with a few nifty drink specials, like a Thin Mint Martini. 5. Food itself. While the steak was good, it was equal to the chains. The tableside presentation and customization of your ribeye cut was very fun and a nice vintage touch, the true star of my dinner show was the generous portion of scallops. They were perfectly grilled and delicious. The brussell sprouts were phenomenal. 6. The salad bar. Firstly, I appreciate a good one, and this is a very good one. Salad bars themselves have become a rarity, and it was the fact that they had one available that cinched me going to this place. I was very, very pleased with the offerings, presentation, freshness, and cleanliness. 7. Onion soup. That stuff was quite tasty. 8. Price. This place isn't cheap, nor is it terribly expensive. It sits right on that midline that's perfect for something a cut above fast-casual but not quite "get-dressed-up." The menu offers enough variety for cost-conscious consumers to find something budget friendly (the kids selections are especially affordable for families). It's a little more expensive than Chilis with much better food, atmosphere, and service. Overall, this was a perfect place to bring a date, especially if you're trying to make an impression with a good spot that isn't pretentious but is more special than Ruby Tuesdays. It is definitely my opinion that the Yelp reviews are too low and don't reflect the reality of goodness this place actually is.

I was back in town for the night and decided to go back after probably 30 years. I was hesitant given the Yelp reviews. But nostalgia won out. In hindsight, I should have listened to the reviews. The positive - the staff was very friendly. Our server Phoebe was awesome. The parking - it is what it is. The free shuttle from the lower lot is an awesome service. The food? Below average. Salad Bar - decent. Nothing spectacular. The ribeye I ordered was flavorless and and awful cut. It was 16 ounces and I bet 5 of those were inedible. The steak literally had no seasoning on it. None. All in all, it was bad. Sides - broccoli was good. But hard to screw that up. The Brussels sprouts were good but there were very few actual sprouts. A whole of the "skins". As far as the atmosphere, you can't beat it. It is one of the more unique restaurants in all of South Carolina. But ambiance and service do not make up for below quality food. Sad to say, that was the last time I will ever go to The Peddler. I'll always have the memories of yesteryear.

He turned 18 that day. Other reviews had mentioned making a reservation so we did with Open Table. It was St. Patrick's Day so the restaurant had a good amount of people, but it may usually be busier when it isn't an Irish drinking holiday. The house garlic bread was drool worthy. It came with a side of garlic butter and oil. Next, we had the calamari which was comprised of fried calamari rings, fried spicy peppers, and fried lemon slices. I'm not sure how I felt about all those things, and the portion was a little small since there were a lot of filler items. The calamari and peppers were good to me. Others didn't mind the lemon, but for me, they were just fillers that made the basket look fuller. For my entree, I got the 3 Black and blue filet medallions ( 3 oz each) that are topped with mini crab cakes with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. I absolutely LOVED my meal. Everything on the plate was hands down amazing. I wanted steak and crab cakes so this was the perfect option! The only change I made was opting for the chimmichurri sauce on the side instead of the Bernaise sauce it came with. I don't know how those mashed potatoes were made, but wow! Perfection. My husband got the filet with asparagus, and the kids got NY Strip steaks - one with fries and the other loaded mashed potatoes. We all really loved our food, and I look forward to another visit.
