I placed a to-go order at 6:04 p.m. for pickup at 7:30 p.m. and arrived at 7:42 p.m. Instead of a prepared order, I encountered approximately 100 customers waiting outside, many reporting delays of two or more hours. Despite the extreme delay, customers remained patient and cooperative. Around 8:00 p.m., a blonde female employee, missing teeth on the bottom, instructed a customer--not an employee--to call out order names, demonstrating a complete lack of operational control. This same employee continued calling out names for over an hour, repeatedly calling customers who had already left while ignoring those who had been waiting for hours. Staff admitted orders had been erased or incorrectly marked "completed." I personally confirmed my order was falsely marked completed despite never receiving it. Inside, Diane began taking names but responded with passive-aggressive indifference when asked for clarification. Kevin, a blonde male with tattoos on his arms, was dismissive and unable to explain whether my order had ever been made or how my refund would be processed. Another employee with black hair, pink eyeshadow, and hearts drawn on her face stated, "We're here dealing with this also," which reflected a concerning lack of professionalism and empathy. A visibly pregnant woman behind me had been standing for nearly three hours while her children waited in the car with their grandmother. Staff showed no urgency or concern. I personally drove one hour to this location and ultimately left after 10:30 p.m. empty-handed, arriving home close to midnight without the food that was promised for 7:30 p.m. This was not simply a busy holiday, it was a complete breakdown in order management, communication, and leadership. Orders were mishandled, inaccurately marked completed, and customers were left without information, assistance, or resolution. I am requesting: 1. Confirmation that my refund has been properly issued to my gift card. 2. A formal explanation of how orders were marked completed without fulfillment. 3. Confirmation of corrective action to prevent this level of operational failure in the future. This experience reflects serious deficiencies in management oversight and customer care and warrants immediate corporate attention. read more

They said the rice will be out soon for her and I! Then we asked for a manager/ told them the issue as she couldn't eat her meal with no sides. Another 25 mjn go by and now they bring her rice and mine.... Didn't even say anything about a new steak. So I asked them for a new steak , since hers she could t eat and was just sitting there. They said yes 35+ minutes late they bring us a new steak ..... now the rice is cold cause it's been so long to get anything ... They brought us a new steak and new rice. I really try to give complimentary reviews, but I've got to step back and be honest. I can't say that I've been to all the TR's in the US, but I have had great experiences at 3: Hoover, AL; Farragut, TN & (the best by far) Cartersville, GA. Maybe they're just 'next tier' kinds of stores, but it really raised my expectations. The food at the Wade Hampton location was prepared to the order. May have been slightly overcooked but I wasn't going to be that picky. Where this store could improve is in a couple of other areas. There were 3 servers behind the bar that seemed a lot more interested in what was going on in their lives than the patrons seated at the bar. The bar server had her back to them, so she probably didn't notice the two trying to get her attention. One was waiting for his check; the other had menu questions. I was seated close enough to hear their conversation, less than 2 feet away. I could elaborate on what they were discussing, but in those few minutes, I ascertained their marital status, their husband's and even their shifts. That's likely conversation to be held elsewhere. I see this as a training and management issue. The sort of thing that is 'Restaurant 101.' I mention it so that it can be addressed. I did not need to or want to be privy to that. My server (name withheld) placed my tab in front of me. She didn't ask me if I needed anything else, wanted anything else. Restaurants train in suggestive selling. She neither suggested dessert or any other beverages. That not only impacts restaurant revenues, but her personal income from tips. Again, 'Restaurant 101.' How much revenue is she literally "leaving on the table" for not only the store but herself as well. I paid my bill and left. My overall impression was that this is a store that is okay with status quo. It certainly failed to meet the professional standards from other TRs I've visited. I frequently go the Texas Roadhouse in Rochester ny and love it. Thought I'd try the Texas Roadhouse in Greenville sc and I'm glad I did! Our waiter (Russel). He was straight forward, understanding and did his job better than most waitresses/waiters I've had. The steak I ordered was ok and I liked the two house salads (as my 2 sides) with added extra onions and chopped boiled eggs. Had a great healthy meal as I do with the one in Rochester ny. read more

Got take out order this week. I ordered the large filet a stuffed baked potato and salad. My husband had road kill ,salad and chili. Both meats cooked perfectly, my filet mid rare and Edds road kill rare. My filet was soooo tender and a very generous size. Potato came with sides of bacon, sour cream, and butter. We also,gotb4 lovely rolls with cinnamon butter. There is a separate place to,pick up to go orders - really convenient and I was texted when it was ready. It does not matter what time it is at this place, there will always be a wait! You can walk in as soon as they open and there will be a 15 min wait time to sit down lol. We came here for lunch and we did end up waiting a bit. We got sat at a nice booth. Our server was friendly but distant. A few tables got sat after us and they got their food before us. The food is pretty good and their selection of side items are a nice variety. They are the only steakhouse really around in this area. Their food is expensive for what it is. When she heard that we were there to reminisce about my late husband on the fourth year of his passing, she teared up. I want to make myself abundantly clear, most of my experiences at this Texas Roadhouse have been good. Good steak, rolls, and Cesar salads. This evening, I received a steak that was pretty rare in the middle when I asked for medium rare. After finally being able to flag down our server Danielle, I noted to her as kind as possible that it was very raw in the center. She replied with "no it's not, but I can get you a medium or medium well one?". After telling her medium, I waited for my new steak, feeling bad for sending it back in the first place. Finally, the manager came over to deliver my steak, asked me to cut it to check, and it was the most well done steak I've ever seen in my long 22 years. It was jerky. There's no possibility that a cook could cook a steak that well done unless specified to do so, therefore I assume it was told to be well done. We decided to come early, so got here at 2:55 for a late lunch. There were already several people waiting outside! The door opened promptly at 3pm and we were seated immediately. My husband ordered fried chicken, which was a battered fried chicken breast topped with cream gravy and it came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I ordered half a slab of ribs because I'd read so many delicioussounding reviews, along with green beans and mashed potatoes. Our server was friendly, offered us refills of the delicious rolls but we had to refuse because we would've filled up on bread with the marvelous cinnamon butter! Vegetables were very good, tasted quite fresh potatoes were real, tasted, homemade. The chicken was tender and delicious, so large we took half home! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My dad and I went here for a father daughter date, and we sat at the bar. The place was packed per usual, and he ordered an alcoholic beverage that we ALWAYS ORDER at many establishments including Texas Roadhouse and Outback. The bartender told my father he could not get an extra shot in his drink because of their 2 shots per INDIVIDUAL ORDER rule, but if I ordered a shot then it would be different because it would be my first shot. So, I ordered the shot instead and gave it to my father. SHE eased dropped in our conversation and continued to REMIND us that I was not allowed to share my drink with him or she would "lose her job because there are cameras watching us". Why is this lady watching us? She then walks off and that's when I allow my father to have MY DRINK! She then TAKES THE DRINK out of my father's hand and walks off with a very bad attitude. The manager looks at her in confusion because why are you taking a paying customer's drink AWAY from them? That was COMPLETELY unprofessional, not only did this bartender waste a drink that was well over $40.00 but she lost 2 paying customers and potential tips. We decided to go to Outback got treated far better at Outback in Greenville. The manager there served us exactly how we wanted and treated us with respect and love. My steak was good after I took it home & cooked it :) Came out super fast, cold and undercooked, not sure how it was so cold honestly. I will say though that the Servers are always friendly, hostess are usually hit or miss. This location is always busy, got to make sure to check your to go orders as something is usually missing. This restaurant was on our weekly rotation. The last few visits everything has gone down hill and fast. The service was horrible, the food was not cooked properly, when speaking to the manager because a filet was delivered basically raw when asked for medium rare it to 25 min to have it cooked up and brought to the table. We were done eating at this point and asked for it to just be removed. They removed just the steak and charged for the sides. It seems petty but if you want your customers to return and you make a mistake you comp the meal. We will never go back because of a 25.49 steak. Sorry but this was the first time we had a negative experience at this Texas Roadhouse. When we arrived, there was a waiting list so we looked at a menu so we could order right away once we were seated. In about 15 minutes, we were texted and subsequently seated. Hunter was our server. When he came to us, we ordered drinks AND our meals (I ordered prime rib and my wife ordered a 6 ounce sirloin.) The drinks came fairly quickly BUT it was close to an HOUR before our meals came out! When it did come out, my wife's steak was overcooked but since we had waited an hour, she was in no mood to send it back for a properly cooked one. My prime rib was just OK, but really lacking any flavor. Hunter couldn't explain the huge delay in getting our food and, when we were finishing our meal, I did ask to speak to the manager. 10-15 minutes later, no manager had shown up. As we were leaving, my wife saw the manager and we went over to express our displeasure, starting with the manager not coming to see us at our table. That's when we discovered that she had left the restaurant leaving no manager at the store I guess. As we explained our displeasure with the entire experience, her response was "I'm sorry". Despite our server backing up our report of waiting forever for our meal, she offered absolutely nothing!
