Use to be great food and service but when the waitress takes your ID and starts showing it off to all her coworkers and you have everyone who works there staring at you like you're 12 years old and not 30! Service was poor and our "waiter" was the "trainer" named Alex. I ordered chicken tenders and my husband had a bowl of chili. Thirty-three minutes after we gave our order to the waiter, we STILL did not have our food. Finally, Alex came by saying the food would be out shortly "they haven't forgotten about you". I said really because it's been over 30 minutes and no food. Is there a problem. He said no and walked off. (Insert my eye roll here) A few more minutes pass and I see him and he again said it would be out on a couple of minutes. About that time the food came out. I immediately asked for a box and our bill. This is the third time we have eaten here and wine our last. We have had slow and subpar service all three times. Came today (Friday) for lunch with the wife and had the worst experience ever! Our order was simple. A Chicken critter salad with ranch and a chicken critter meal with a side salad and steak fries... An hour had passed and we are wondering what the problem is. The bartender admitted she pocketed our order and forgot to give it to the kitchen. My wife left because she only gets an hour for lunch and had to get back to work. So I asked for her order to be made "to-go" so I could drop it off at her work. Waited and waited while others were served their food right next to me but mine never came. Manager came by multiple times and apologized but food still never came. Finally I asked her to go check on it and apparently they had made my entire order "to-go" and it had been sitting over there in the "to-go" area for a while. Over 2.5 hrs later I'm at home finally getting to eat my lunch after warming it back up in the microwave. Thanks for comping our meal but I'd have gladly paid to have it hot, fresh and served within a reasonable amount of time! read more

We dined here while in town for the night. The service wasn't bad but it was quite robotic and impersonal. To some extent that's normal at chains of this type (e.g. Saltgrass). Service gets 3 stars as they didn't screw anything up but also didn't do anything to add to an enjoyable meal. My wife ordered a ribeye. In their defense she ate it all so it wasn't bad. But we both didn't think it looked like much of a ribeye. This cut of meat should have noticeable marbling and her's didn't. It looked more like a piece out of a t-bone. The lack of marbling took away from the flavor she expected. So rather like the service nothing horrible about it but it didn't meet expectations. I ordered a filet (I believe they call it Dallas). It was closer to the mark but oddly thin and wide (most steakhouses use filets that are thick and hence rather narrow). I like the thick approach as it gives more of a variety in how far cooked the meat is from the edge to the center. The seasoning applied was very light so steak sauce was needed to keep it from being a bit too dry to consume. So for our tastes this was a 3 down the middle. Next time we are in the area, we would seek out another option rather than return. read more

Went here for dinner on a Wednesday and enjoyed the Wild Wednesday deal of a sirloin for $9.99. Sirloin was moist and flavorful. Service was very attentive. Well folks today was a long day were gearing up for blacktop season, so the little woman and i decided to treat ourselves to a steak at "Texas Roadhouse" in Texarkana Tx well we looked from the highway and figured a 20 minute wait because the parking lot was over full. World do not be fooled by a full parking, these people at Texas Roadhouse work like a well oiled machine we went to the door and was seated in less then ten minutes. The waiter staff was great, if you stop by ask for "Michael" he was the bomb, on cue and did not miss a thing;-]]]~ the food was phenomenal so a standing ovation goes out to the kitchen staff. Basically good and cheap steak. I usually get the 6 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and veggies. The steak is cooked perfectly to your linking and full of flavor. They also have unlimited butter dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. This is my favorite part of coming to Texas Roadhouse, aside from the great steak. Parking is hard to find during dinner time and especially on the weekends. The wait is long if you don't call in early. They're always packed from about 6-9pm. You can snack on peanut when you're in the waiting room, but my boyfriend got a stomach ache after he ate them. Eat at your own risk! The service is great. So, it's a chain, and as a chain, it has it's annoying bits, like the standard LOUD honky tonk music blaring overhead, but OK, you know what you're getting from location to location. This one has been consistently good over time. The waiters and waitresses are efficient and nice and the food is pretty darned good. They do understand what Philidelphia style steaks mean. I highly recommend their bone-in ribeye done Philly style. So delicious, even if it looks shockingly charred when it arrives. read more

Love TRH usually but the server made the experience miserable. Her face would not stay on her face and she was sick. Told me she had lost her voice. Looked sick, acted sick and wore a mask so big it did not cover her whole mouth. Long waits to order and get ticket (said she was looking for cough lozenge). Ugh. While waiting on our vehicle to be fixed next door to the Texas Roadhouse in Texarkana, we walked up hill to TRH. The food was excellent. Wait time the 1st day we went there left something to be desired (Good Friday), the 2nd day (Saturday), it was much better. We sat at the bar. I had no problem with the restaurant with the exception of the Ladies restroom. There are 3 stalls, 2 regular and 1 handicap. The restroom had paper all over the floor. The middle stall has a handle that just rotates and will not flush. Apparently it's been that way for a while because their wait staff knew to take the lid off to make it flush. Surely they can afford to have a plumber come in and replace the handle or replace the bowl all together. It was embarrassing to have ladies waiting in line to use the toliet and had to come out with it unflushed. Please repair read more
