I truly like Texas Roadhouse but this last time I was a bit disappointed. I had the 12oz ribeye medium which is usually my go to. This time it was pretty thin and as a result over cooked. It was only really cooked on one side. So I feel they forgot about it and didn't cook the other side as it was already well done. Second visit to TRH this month. Hadn't been there for about a year - just busy... Website says to call the restaurant if more than 6 in the party. Had group of 7 and needed a wheelchair accessible table for Saturday at 6, so I called the restaurant - it took 3 calls to be put on the waiting list. First call was 2 days in advance and was told to call back 45 minutes before we planned to arrive; 2nd call, I was told by the haughty manager to call back 30 minutes in advance and was grilled by her who said that 45 minutes "was not their protocol". As if I was supposed to know that. Train your employees on the protocol please. And add that information to the website and app. After waiting about 20 minutes, we were notified that our table was ready. Our waitress was very good. We all enjoyed our orders - my chili was a bit too spicy for me but my husband enjoyed it! I tried some of his Caesar salad - very fresh and tasty! Roadkill was done as I ordered it. Wish that they had soy sauce to put on it - I brought my own. Previous visit, I tried the gravy, but it was so salty I couldn't eat the food that it was on. We have ordered the family pack of pulled pork once before and last night the beef tips. I ordered online through the Texas Roadhouse app. It is curb side pick-up, just stay in your car and they come to you. They were very polite each time. It was a little confusing as to where to park. My order was 39 and the numbers marked on the pavement did not go up that high. Nevertheless, they got the order number and came back out with my order around the pickup time. Obviously it's a chain but the Washington Texas Roadhouse is great. It's always PACKED so there is always a wait. They took away the old waiting area to make it the to-go section so there is no where to wait inside besides the vestabule. I typically always have great service here. They're great at pre-bussing. I always get the chicken critter salad, add bleu cheese crumbles and croutons. They have the BEST croutons. Obviously the bread and butter is the holy grail. I feel like most people who complain about texas roadhouse complain about the steaks; I don't ever order steak at restaurants like this, so I can't say how it is. My only gripe is that they're no longer open for lunch, but I know places have a hard time getting and keeping workers. read more

No wonder this place has a 3.1 rating...the management is extremely rude and condescending. The steakhouse was out of porter house steak which is unfortunate. I then proceeded to order a filet medium rare and it took over 35 minutes to come out. The manager delivered my filet after I politely asked the waitress to cancel the filet because the wait was really long. My partner already finished her entire meal (meanwhile it's been 1hr so far), so canceling the order was not out of line. Had an amazing experience here with my other half. It was a Sunday night, pretty busy but they were able to get us in. Our waitress was very sweet and did a wonderful job. My hubby got prime rib and I got a full rack of ribs. Both were a wonderful portion and delicious!!! I ended up taking some home and it was still yummy the next day! I liked that they didn't drench it in bbq sauce (I'm diabetic and the sugar in bbq sauce isn't good for me) and the actual meat had really good flavor. The rolls.. oh mah gawd. For reference, my wife worked at multiple Texas Road House locations, so we are extremely familiar with the standards and procedures of how Texas Roadhouse works overall. We showed up with a party of 4, got our rolls and got drinks. I'm more disappointed with the food. Someone in the party got a steak cooked medium, and it was still cold in the middle, extremely difficult to cut and chew. The waitress did not ask her to cut into it before leaving to see if it was cool alright. We had to waive another waitress down after about 10 minutes, who agreed it was extremely undercooked. They recooked the cut up steak and it came back extremely charred and black and burned. The manager delivered it and left and didn't even apologize. We got chicken critters and the portioning and size seemed smaller than the normal. We wanted the steak off the bill and they did not offer not give us a chance to ask. I am a loyal Texas Roadhouse fan, but I will not be returning to this one in Washington, PA. After driving up from Florida to visit family on Friday December 1st, we drove right to Texas Roadhouse where we know we will get the same delicious, consistent food at all locations! We had the pleasure of having Shauna as our server and it was her first night by herself! I previously served at Texas Roadhouse and she did a great job at remembering to suggest and reference all the key points of the menu from the ice cold beer, to the fall off the bone ribs, and fresh baked bread! Two steaks we ordered was raw , blood was actually laying in side of container. Did not receive 2 different sides . one chicken dinner was not cooked. Went here for Father's Day 2022. No more peanuts was very disappointing. The music was way too loud. We had to ask them to turn it down twice. They got my brother's side wrong because they couldn't hear him. One of the steaks was very over done. And the salads were mediocre at best (no croutons, over dressed). We have eaten at the Texas Roadhouse in our hometown and it was great so we felt like it was safe for gluten free. And they have standards so it was also the case here in Washington PA! I got the smallest steak with baked potato and steamed carrots and broccoli. And it was Monday so 1.99 margaritas night. Score! My steak wasn't quite cooked to my liking but that was no problem for our attentive and capable waitress Felicity. She got it corrected quickly and happily. So there I was, Saturday, 6:30, at the Texas RoadHouse. The place was packed. People outside smoking, people waiting in the doorway, others standing wherever there was room, no room at the bar to even stand. The hostess said there was about a 15 minute wait (translate that to a 45 minute wait). I looked to my girl and asked, "What do you think?" She suggested that we get on the waiting list and go next door to TGI Fridays and have a drink there while we wait. Sounded like a plan to me. The hostess took our name and cell number and off to TGI's for a beer. This review isn't to bash TGI Friday's but it does make you wonder why there's was no wait there (and it's right next to the Texas RoadHouse) and we were able to get a seat at the bar and be served drinks almost immediately. 45 minutes later we got a text message from TRH that our table was ready. We got escorted to a booth and I looked around. The place had a wood / country feel to it with lots of Willie Nelson pictures and paraphernalia. The tables all had a bucket of complimentary shelled peanuts. Our waitress got us some beers, Yuengling was the most interesting beer available. We looked at the menu and decided on the grilled shrimp skewer as an appetizer, I went with the bone-in ribeye, well done, with a salad and baked potato and my girl ordered a rack of ribs, a salad and a sweet potato. We got our beers and the shrimp skewer came out about five minutes later. It had a lemon, garlic butter dressing, cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. Afterwards we got lost in conversation and didn't realize that about 30 minutes had past and we still didn't have our dinners. The waitress came over and apologized saying that there was a mix-up and that we would get a discount on the dinner. It was fine by us as we were having a good time just talking and drinking. When our plates did arrive we could both tell that we were going to need some take-out containers. The salads were much bigger than you'd expect for a house salad. My steak was huge and the rack of ribs was more like two racks of ribs. The food quality itself was beyond expectation. My ribeye was very tasty; grilled to perfection and the ribs were "fall of the bone" tender with a generous slathering of BBQ sauce. It's no wonder that there was such a crowd. Poor TGI's next door just can't compete with this kind of meal. The manager came over, apologized again for the wait, asked how everything was, and told us that we would be getting 20% off for the meal taking so long to come out. Add a military discount on top of that (I'm an Army Reserve Soldier) and this huge meal for two plus appetizer and drinks came to just $34.00 plus tip! My sister and I stopped here for late night drinks and dinner after shopping at Tanger outlets. We were able to find seats right away at the bar and were greeted by two friendly bartenders. I LOVE the sweet butter that they serve with the dinner rolls. I would buy it by the bucket if I could. The food is consistently delicious compared to other Texas Roadhouse locations. An OK place, loud music and a party atmosphere with food. Children are welcome but the atmosphere is not right for them. Business meetings might have an issue as well. Good friends and drinks are the fare this place caters to. I give big credit for only a ten minute wait time on a Friday night, texting us the menu and when to come up to the hostess station. We knew what we wanted and we're quick to order. Hot biscuits and peanuts in a bucket to hold is over till the food arrived. We ordered the ribs, shrimp, and the kids had chicken nuggets. I don't normally visit chain restaurants, much less review them, but I had a great time at this Texas Roadhouse location and wanted to share. We were greeted and sat promptly. It seemed really busy for a Monday night at 5pm but I don't frequent this place often so I am not sure what is typical. Our server was over within 45 seconds to take our drink orders. When she returned with them we actually had to ask for more time to look over the menu because they were brought so quickly. We were offered more rolls but declined. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin smothered with onions and my partner ordered the 12 oz strip. My salad was brought quickly and was fresh. Our steaks were brought shortly after I finished the salad, perfect timing on that. My sirloin was AMAZING, while the strip was just ok. It seemed like the strip was a bit under seasoned as my partner had to add salt and pepper. I am not sure if it just missed the seasoning or if the seasoning of the smothered onions made my sirloin so much better. The fat on the strip was correct, it just missed the seasoning apparently. Both were cooked a perfect medium rare. My loaded fries were great as were the mashed potatoes and rice my partner ordered. I ordered two drink refills during the meal and they were brought right on time. We were offered boxes and dessert right as we finished but declined both. For a pretty busy Monday night we had amazing service (from Katrina? Katarina? Something like that) at a good price.
