Came to dinner here on a Sunday afternoon just as the place opened. They were kind enough as usual to open a few minutes later. The bread guy was friendly and the server was professional. I ordered the 11oz sirloin with a Caesar salad and chili for my sides while my wife ordered a bowl of chili. The sirloin was medium rare though I asked for medium though it was still tasty and a good cut. The chili on the other hand was just beyond words awful. Every bite of meat was gristle and the consistency of rubber. I took the high road when the waitress came back and told her it was just simply not edible, as opposed to complaining about it being complete garbage; it wasn't her fault and as I was with family chose not to send it back. read more

I've been here a few times but don't think I'll be going again. The waiter accidentally dropped one of their giant heavy cocktail glasses (the ones that are basically a bowl) right on top of my son and into his plate. It all shattered, the plate the glass, spraying glass and liquid everywhere. We had alcohol all over us. My son started crying and we had to wait while everything was cleaned up. We were gracious about it, accidents happen, but then nothing was comped. At all. We basically got a sorry and checking on my young son to make sure he wasn't injured and that was it. ADAM WAS AMAZING ! He was by the far the best server we have ever had . He was quick on placing drink orders and appetizer which was the blooming onion , He immediately got milks for my two kids. We got there right at 11 am hardly anybody in the restaurant. They sat us right next to another group of people instead of alternating booths. Not sure what has happened to the food here but everything was heavily salted. The potato was dipped in salt and out on the plate??? The steak was over salted as was the rice. I understand the need to season but season with other spices not over season with salt. A lot of people are salt sensitive or can't have salt in their diet. Why over salt? It was just overwhelming of salt to enjoy the meal Plus, a steak was asked for medium well and they brought out medium rare. We came in on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Our server was a slow in getting to us but then service was good. Loved the hot rolls and butter. My husband ordered the ribs and loved them. Perfectly cooked! I ordered the steak and shrimp. Steak was cooked perfect medium rare and the shrimp were very good as well. The loaded baked potatoes were great. Also cooked and loaded well. Hadn't been to TRH in over a year. The onion appetizer was great! We all ordered steaks and one had ribs also, Not one steak was cooked the way we ordered. The ribs were very dry and uneatable. One steak was brought back and recooked. One was brought home to recook as it was so rare. The other just gave up! The rolls were good. On another note the manager did come by the table with apologies but when all 3 meals were wrong...... He did comp 1 meal. I love TRH, but this location is just poorly managed. Ordered a t-bone to go. In all honesty, food was decent enough. At walk-up pick up window, girl bagged order in front of me. I asked if the silverware had salt and pepper packets. She said, no. I then asked her if I could get some salt and pepper. She replied, "sorry we're all out". I guess she was too lazy to go to the back and check or to put some bulk salt and pepper in the little 2oz side container. Got back to hotel and "silverware" was the cheapest that money could buy. I and a friend dined here today. I ordered a burger 'medium well' and was asked by the server if I wanted it pink in the center. I told him 'no'. (In my many years, I've never had a server verify 'medium-well' this way). I suspect he was confusing this with medium-rare. Caleb, the server, told me that translated into 'well' done. I didn't feel an argument was needed, so I just agreed. (How bad could it be?...). My friend ordered a medium-rare (which he did verify was pink in the center). Later, before the food arrived, I asked him why he used that designation. He repeated the criterion (in his mind) for 'medium-well'. It was then I realized this was his first serving job, and TRH set that filter in his mind to know how to place an order. I did tip him well. But I will never go back. My burger was too well done. And my friend... he couldn't finish his burger since his was dry and obviously not 'medium-rare', either. The wait time to get a table was only about 5 minutes. Once we were inside and got a table we were greeted by our server right away. We got our drinks and food ordered. The wait time was not very long for the food. The server didn't come check on us to see if we needed anything hardly at all. We asked for a spoon as soon as we got our meal and she came back with it about 10 minutes into our meal. (At that point we didn't need it anymore). The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Yea stay away from this one. Music so loud you can't talk to your date. I had the half rack of ribs and could taste the water from boiling the ribs prior to "smoking". If they were really smoked, I don't believe they were smoked at all. There was no red color in the meat at all. They also fell apart indicating they were over cooked. Stopped in to have lunch while on vacation. I've been a server for over 30 years. Haley waited on us, never smiled, we had to ask for rolls. Waited, then had to ask for silverware and small plates. We finished our rolls. She asked the people who came in after us if they wanted more rolls. Not us. She just removed our basket. It was almost like we were bothering her. We got our food, the kitchen brought it out. I ordered a steak salad that looked great, except I ordered it with ranch, not Italian. The server never came over to check how things were or to see if we wanted another glass of wine. She checked with the people next to us to make sure everything was made right to their order. I probably wouldn't order from this location again unless I was desperate. I got a prime rib dinner with sides and asked for extra bread on the side. The prime rib was over cooked which was a shame because it was expensive. And the extra buns I asked for were burnt brown and so hard that it was inedible. The juxtaposition of the bun and how it normally looks and the burnt bun was jarring and quite honestly, very rude! Why would you give out food of that quality to a customer? Free or not, it reflects poorly on the restaurant. I've ordered takeout from Roadhouse in several states and it's never been a problem to ask for extra buns. I'd rather be told no or to pay than to be given the buns I received. Long story short, this location seems to be poorly run and I would avoid it if you can. read more

My wife and I were at The Roadhouse tonight at 4:15 pm . We were greeted and seated immediately we get there frequently and are usually very happy with the food and service. I always order the Prime Rib and never have been disappointed with Rib Mountains Prime Rib. But tonight I was told that it was all sold out at 4:15 and the place was not half full. I have a hard time believing that they would have such a small amount available that it would be sold out. Lesson learned, from now on I will ask before we are seated if it is available. I started this with two stars to give a BIT of the benefit of the doubt. However, I so that a lot of other reviewers seemingly have had the same issue as me. I appreciate anyone who is willing to work in the service industry and am by no means saying it's a fun or easy job. But when you have a franchise like this that had plenty of staff working and the wait time to be seated was only 10 minutes you'd think that the food wouldn't take over an hour after ordered. On the wait staff's side of this - if the food is taking exceptionally long, simply dropping by the table to say you're sorry that the food is taking a while as a lot of customer's orders were entered in at the same time (or something along those lines) and asking if another drink was needed would be a good idea! So, this isn't a review about the food, we didn't last that long. Called in, told 10-15 minute wait. 32minutes later, we were seated. We we're told at one point we were the 3rd table on the list... four tables were then sat ahead of us (making us the 5th.) No apology, no acknowledgement other than "party of 5." I'll add that one group ahead of us was told, "sorry about the wait (handed them a card of some sort.) You can use this tonight or the next time." Crickets for us. Then when we FINALLY were sat, our server took our drink order. Forgot sweetener for our tea. Then, rushed away to another table saying, "I'll be right back to take your order." He checked on 3 other tables, had nice long conversations with each. So we left. When I told the manager we were leaving, that we'd waited enough for the night, she just asked, "which table?" No apology. Nothing. Now, they were definitely busy. But the more they sensed we were growing weary and frustrated, the less we saw of them. An acknowledgement would've been nice. My family and I were in town for a couple nights and stopped into Texas roadhouse after Skiing. It was jam packed during the dinner rush but we were seated immediately and the server had the warm rolls on the table as we sat down. Those rolls are hands down the best included appetizer available at a restaurant imo! We had a variety of items, including the rattlesnake bites I belive they were called, cheddar cheese and jalapeño mixed together. Delicious with a hint of kick. The full rack of ribs was good but not out of this world. They had a little more fat than I would prefer and also a little "wet" where as I prefer a little more of a dry rib. Still good and probably perfect for some people. The steak was the highlight. 12oz sirloin and it was cooked perfect. Very tender and extremely flavorful. We also had the half chicken which was fine. Worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse I have EVER had. My boyfriend and I are not the people to complain at a restaurant because we are too nice but this nearly sent us over the edge. Service was the worst I've ever had. The waitress made us feel like an inconvenience over simple things like refills. Her attitude was appalling. We ordered the half rack ribs with MASHED potatoes and a 16 oz. sirloin with mushrooms. Where do I start? The mushrooms were so dry it was as if they were reheated from a previous dinner, the steak had NO flavor, not even seasoning. The ribs were underwhelming and also dry. AND the mashed potatoes had a a whole raw potato in them and were ice cold. The best thing there had to be the free buns. I've always loved Texas Roadhouse but this one makes me rethink ever coming back. Just awful. Didn't finish our food and wouldn't even take a box. Not worth the inflated prices. What a disappointment! Today is my birthday and we are out of town and away from my family. The only plus side to being out of town was that we drove passed a Texas road house on the way in and i was really excited to eat here for my birthday. We got in and ordered our usual-- my boyfriend orders everything with no cheese and no butter. He has a huge dairy allergy. We got our food and a few slices into his steak, he started looking extremely uncomfortable. We looked for our waitress to confirm that there was no butter on his steak. She went back and five minutes later came to us to notify us that they did cook his steak in butter. We are on our way to get his emergency meds and his epi pen at our hotel. Our plans are ruined for the rest of the evening. I work in the restaurant industry and I just have to say that it's really upsetting that they didn't take something like this a little more seriously. They really could have killed him if the allergy was any worse than it is. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
