I can't believe that this restaurant only has three stars? This was not our experience at all! There were five of us eating and our server Brook could not have been any better! Her timing was perfect. Her patience was even better. She did not seem at all bothered with all the options for ordering at this restaurant. She went above and beyond by offering us water to go at the end which was so sweet because we were traveling. I also was so surprised that they let us have samples of all the sides which helped us choose the ones we liked the best with our meal. With complimentary bags of peanuts, bread and butter I felt spoiled with all the food. And the prices were very reasonable! The $5 all day margaritas tasted great!! Will def try those out at the TR near where I live! I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak. It was delicious but was spotty in the cook. Most areas were medium as I had ordered but one side was medium well and one part medium rare. The other person ordered medium rare and hers was spotty as well and the rare ribeye ordered was consistency rare. The thing I did not like was that all three ribeyes ordered were different thicknesses. Had I known I would have asked for a thicker steak. When we were leaving Cedric the manager asked us how our meal was. We were happy to tell him how great Brook was and the great meal we had. He was super appreciative and friendly and just made the whole experience that much better. The customer service was cool but after three times someone should have done their due diligence before leaving the kitchen. Went in on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was busy. After some confusion from the hostess, we were brought to our table. The first server came and started taking our drinks order and then realized it wasn't her table. Second server took our order, after a while the steaks appeared and we were told the baked potatoes and fries would be another 15 mins. Why would you serve the steaks if the sides were not ready. Upgraded sides were offered but we had already ordered an upgraded side (loaded baked potatoe) ordered a second drink, the server forgot about it and I had to remind her. We have been here several times of the years. The service is good most of the time. The layout is exactly what you would expect from a chain steakhouse. The food quality is very variable we have had great food and trips where we have need to send the food back multiple times. On our most recent trip we both ordered the bone in ribeye one rare and one medium rare. The medium rare was a great steak and cooked to order. The rare was not. What was served to me was a two inch thick bone with a quarter inch thick steak attached to it. It was over cooked to about medium well. Of course I sent it back. The second steak was served below blue, meaning it was a raw steak that was put on the grill for a few seconds on each side. The inside was not cool it was cold not just to the bit even to the touch. I did not send it back again. I will never do that it's a good way to get something special in your food. We go often because it is someplace that everyone can agree on. It's also family friendly so if you've got a three year-old and a four- you dont have sweat it. I always say that I'm gonna try something different but I usually end up with the 6 ounce sirloin garden salad with ranch dressing and a loaded sweet potato. If I could put zero stars, I would. We went on 1/16/24. Was seated at 732 didn't get a glass of water until 802. Someone working had their toddler up there that was being passed around by the staff. First, the toddler was at the hostess station being passed around being fed. Multiple different servers had the child. Our glass of water was delivered by this child, it was half spilled and had slobber and food residue on the glass (have pictures) i saw a server walking with a tray of food in one hand pulling the child behind her with the other. There was a wait but it was expected as the place was packed at 5:30pm. Quickly seated, server was quick and attentive, food delivery to table was prompt. We eat almost every Saturday night here, when we come to Monroe. on August 19th , 2023, we stopped in to eat at 4:00. they said it would be at least a 20 minute wait, which was fine. 15 minutes later we were seated. 15 minutes later a lady came by and said our waiter was tided up and would be with us , and she took out drink order. 30 minutes later our waiter came by and took our food order. Great service. The rolls are always hot and fresh. The steaks are also always super fresh. I like to see them on display when you walk in. I ordered a New York strip but that's not what I got (see picture). It was a filet but I didn't bother to send it back because I hadn't eaten all day and meat is meat lol. Watch out Twin Cities, it looks like Texas Roadhouse is here to stay! (and has ample room for large parties, posting an occupancy load of over 300 people) The grand opening was this past week on Monday, July 27. I arrived here after the lunch rush on a Saturday afternoon. After checking in at the hostess station, I was given a pager and told it would be a 10 min wait, which was very reasonable for a busy afternoon during opening week. There were plenty of benches in the waiting area in the nice, cold A/C to pass the time and ample seating at the bar. Once seated, complimentary peanuts and fresh, oven-baked dinner rolls with honey cinnamon butter awaited us while drink and appetizer orders were taken. To my surprise, both drinks and appetizers came out quickly, which allowed me to refrain from getting too full on those addictive dinner rolls. The frozen margarita with extra Patron shot was the perfect treat to beat the summer heat. The highlight of lunch was none other than the glorious 23 oz Porterhouse T-bone steak, cooked medium and filled with meaty, grilled, juicy, flavorful goodness. Each bite was sheer perfection and the steak literally melted in my mouth. No steak sauce nor additional seasoning was needed as it had the right amount of spices. Our server, Sydney, delivered exceptional customer service and was very sweet, friendly, energetic, and personable. Despite it only being her third shift, I thought she did an amazing job and appreciate her hard work! Although the whole place was busily buzzing, she came back to refill drinks, check up on us and our food, and thus ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Normally, I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but this Texas Roadhouse location has certainly changed my mind. I also have to give major props to the management team for properly training their staff before opening week- the entire staff's hard work and efforts shows! I haven't been here in quite some time and tonight I was reminded why. I logged an online order around 430 to pick up around 6, figuring that was plenty of time. I arrived to the restaurant around 5:50, texted I was here and they texted me back saying my order wasn't quite ready and I was early so it was fine. Around 6:15 I called because I still didn't have my food. I spoke to Brianna, I believe she said her name was in To Go who informed me my order wasn't quite ready and I asked what the hold up was and she informed me she was too busy to go check on it. I hang up. I sat in my car another 15 minutes when I got out and approached the pick up window. I got up to the window, gave her my name, she brings me my bag. I received no text telling me it was ready. I am so aggravated by this point I leave without checking my bag, huge mistake I know. I get to my Mom's who I was taking this food to... her entire meal is missing, the cactus blossom is missing the dipping sauce, it was lukewarm as was the fried pickles which tells me my order had been sitting before I went to the window, it was missing the toppings for my loaded baked potato and there were no rolls. I called from my Mom's house and spoke to Weston, I told him I had waited 45 minutes for my food and heard crickets. No apologies, no NOTHING. he says he's going to remake her steak and it will be ready by the time I arrive along with everything else I'm missing, and it was. Again, no apologies for my having to come back, no apologies for the screw up, nothing. So by the time I go back to pick all this up and go back to my mom's my food is cold as well as the cactus blossom and the fried pickles, which are no good once they are cold. The manager canceled our reservation and didn't tell us! We waited and waited and finally asked how much longer before we would be seated.
