I give this particular Texas Roadhouse zero stars. I called ahead for a party of 6. While waiting, I was joking with hostess and the manager came up. She was very rude. The manager canceled our reservation and didn't tell us! We waited and waited and finally asked how much longer before we would be seated. At that point, I was told the manager had canceled our reservation. Obviously the restaurant didn't need our business but the manager cost someone a very good tip. We've been to this roadhouse many times and enjoyed it, but we will NEVER go back. There was no excuse for the manager's behavior. read more

Best steak dinner ever! I arrived shortly after they open. I was immediately seated with hot bread and butter + cinnamon butter brought to the table and my my drink order taken. Drink arrived and I ordered as I knew what I wanted. I had two of the hot rolls with that cinnamon butter, but had to make myself stop or I would have eaten them all. I had a little time to enjoy some of the peanuts and visit with some teachers (the booth in front of me) who came down from New York to train our teachers in the parish. They were extremely nice and they talked about how much they loved Louisiana and it's people and food! Yeah! My salad came out next, (came with my steak dinner)it was so big and pretty and it was delicious! Next my 16oz ribeye (medium rare) came out with my other side, a loaded baked potato. Also I had a sidekick of ribs (it was free with my birthday coupon). The look and smells were so good I could barely wait to dig in. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN A STEAK COOKED TO PERFECTION! I couldn't be more excited with my steak but had to taste everything else too. The loaded potato was soo good with all the extra fresh fixings. And then I also tasted a rib which I enjoyed as well. I had enough food to take home for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Lastly, my service was great! I had AJ as my waitress. She made sure I was ok and kept my tea filled without me asking. Worst service and food ever. Food took so long no time to take pics as we were starved by the time we got it. She had steak and shrimp and I had steak and ribs with onion petals as an appetizer. The bread and cinnamon butter was the best thing out of the whole dining experience. Her steak was tough and the shrimp was covered in what looked like grill stickings... the stuff they scrape when cleaning it. My steak was tender but cooked wrong. Ribs were tender on outside and the outer meat was tough. Onion petals were inedible Complained to the manager and all they did was shrug shoulders and say sorry. I just had the absolute BEST customer service I've ever experienced at a restaurant (including Chick-fil-A). If you dine at the Monroe, LA location, do yourself a favor and ask to be served by a guy named Canaan!! God blessed my daughter and I with the "privilege" of having Canaan as our server tonight. This guy was ON IT!! He was extremely nice, helpful, and friendly! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and actually made very good suggestions for what to order and how to have it prepared. He checked on us constantly, inundated us with acts of kindness, and made certain that we had a "memorable" dining experience! This guy was a freaking Rock Star!! I like going to Texas Road House in W.Monroe,La but this visit was the worst that I've ever had.The waitress seated us and didn't return for about 20 minutes to take our drink order,when she finally returned with the drinks we didn't left again before she came back to take our order. Usually when you are seated they bring the rolls we were there for almost an hour when I went to the front and asked for a manager. When I returned to the table our food was there and the manager and waitress came with the rolls. I had ordered the loaded sweet potato the potato was not loaded the vegetables were cold,my daughter had ordered the shrimp she said that they were cold and didn't taste fresh. Absolutely the best steakhouse as for as my Mom & I are concerned. The service is always amazing. So far I have never gotten a steak that wasn't cooked close to perfection. Their ribeyes & sirloins are fantastic. But their T-Bones are out of this world. And they have so much more on their menu. And the prices are better than The Longhorn & Outback. Almost every single time we've come in, the service has been good, the food's been perfect (we've not encountered a single problem with the food itself!), and we've really enjoyed ourselves. So disappointed so I went to tell them all the food is cold and the server said she'll call the manager. A minute later she gave me a receipt saying the money will be refunded 7-10 business days.. I have never experienced such bad customer service until today the waitress that i had was completely rude i didnt get her name and dont want to know her name at first it was fine got our drinks ordered appetizer we sit there and talk my mother finished her drink took well over 10 mins to even get a refill about 45 mins still havent even received our bread nor our appetizer she finally passes by and we stop her mention our appetizer and she goes ok give me a minute and proceeds to get on the computer. 20 minutes later, our food comes out still haven't received the appetizers. My steak was somewhat cold. After we finish our meal, she brings out one of the appetizers that we didn't get which almost took about an hour. And as shes holding the appetizers she looks us up and down with a snappy voice saying do u still want this if not ill just take it back at this point im boiling and so is my mom i finish my drink it was beyond 20 mins before i ask to get a refill from another waitress. the waitress we had stud infront of us face to face and looks us up and down once again then storms off i get they were alittle busy but it still doesnt give a dang reason y she acted the way she did if i was a waitress (have been in past) i would have immediately gotten fired over it. We got to the restaurant and we were met with about 15 people all waiting at the hostess table where only one guy was getting it. 2 other employees were literally leaning with elbows on the table chin resting on hand. Completely uninterested in doing anything. The one girl finally asked for our number in which she didn't even attempt to get it right. We waited 3x the given wait time we were told to expect before going back up to the counter. They corrected the number and said they would text again. We were the only ones at this time after watching over 10 other newcomers get seated even after arising much later than us. Business hurting because of Covid? My ass. The restaurant closes at 10. So if I call to place a to go order at 9:33pm, it should absolutely be received, right? Not here! Instead I was informed that ordering is cut off at 930. I even asked "it's three minutes past and still 27 minutes away from when you close, you still can't take our order?" And she still told me no. Poor customer service and rude. I called in at 9:35pm to order a baked potato to-go, after a long day of work. I was informed they couldn't do to-go orders after 9:30. I asked to speak to a manager since my request was very small. I spoke to a key manager who was very rude. She said I would have to come in to order at the bar and wait on my order. I asked if they could go ahead and get it ready and she and hung up on me. I worked at Texas Roadhouse for 3 years in Bossier City during college. After 20 minutes I got bread, still no drink order. One of the worst texas roadhouses we've ever been to. Short wait time to get seated but then we had to wait 15+ minutes for our waitress to come ask what we wanted to drink, we had to ask another waitress to find ours. She was very awkward and very frazzled like she didn't know what she was doing. We all ordered 10oz ribeyes and they were ALL small, flavorless and over half the steak was fat. It was a sorry excuse for a ribeye, it looked like a steak you expect to get with waffle houses breakfast(gross). They informed me AFTER all of our other food had come out that they were cooking corn. Said it was take 10 minutes. Texas Roadhouse in Monroe was a good and safe choice for dinner on the road. Busy and noisy when I walked in the door, but I was seated promptly with no wait. I had a 10 oz prime rib for $17.99. It was a good choice. The meat was well prepared and melted in my mouth. The baked potato was exactly what you would expect. The green beans had too much ham hock for my taste these days, but that is being picky. Portions were just right for my appetite. Zachary, my waiter, was friendly and efficient. My food came quickly. And I got a Roady cup of tea on my way out. A bit tricky to find off I 20, but follow the sign and you will make it. read more

For a chain steakhouse, I'd have to say Texas Roadhouse is consistently decent. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner tonight and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and food came out fast and was hot and fresh. I had the 6 oz filet, medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. Pretty good flavor on the steak. I had the green beans and a sweet potato for my two sides, both delicious. Green beans are cooked with bacon and very flavorful. My daughter had the kids rib plate, which was a good quantity of food for a kids meal. Very tender and tasty. The bread and peanuts are always a fun addition to dinner. To be honest, I've never been to this particular chain; however, over the last month of driving by and watching the process of their construction I felt, as each piece of lumber was nailed and construction progressed, it was beckoning me to come. Come, come, come: eat my steaks: loaded baked potato and casear salad. This is the criteria to judge a steak house. Upon pulling in to their completely filled parking lot, I began to worry there would be an elongated wait for a table. Luckily, I found a vacant parking space, fairly close to the front entrance. In through their double doors, the permeating smell of searing steaks captivated my senses, causing my hungry belly to grumble: feed me something seasoned that is Medium Rare. The hostess was very nice and greeted me as she was properly trained too. I put my name in, took my pager, and cordially went to the waiting area (very suitable for fit a large number was waiting families) to enjoy some peanuts (being allowed to toss the shells willy nilly on the floor), and watch some sports on the rather large television they had setup there. Ten minutes later, I had my seat. A booth. I was pleased since I had my family dining with me. Now - after getting situated at our table, there were many rather interesting features I observed about how they have their front of the staff ran (more will be discussed later). The person who sat us was not our server - even though this should have been the servers job (appears to me to be a waste of their labor budget by having an extra hand doing a simple task that should have been performed by the server), but she did walk us to the table and served us warm rolls with butter that was adequately seasoned - there was absolutely nothing notable about the butter. In my opinion they should have mixed a little honey to liven it a bit for the palate, but it is a chain so it is what it is. Getting seated is an ordeal of itself: you return your pager to the hostess, then another staff member takes you toward the steak display and grabs a basket of bread and goes about trekking you to the table. They don't take a drink order: that is the end of contact with that person. One good thing is, is it didn't take long until our actual server appeared to take our drink order. We ordered an appetizer as well. The cactus blossom (another item I judge a steak house by). I'm a sucker for them at steak houses. Looking back on it, the cactus blossom was somewhat on the salty side. For my main dish I choose the bone-in Ribeye after toiling my choice of that between the cowboy cut sirloin. The bone-in ribeye was 23oz compare to the 16oz cowboy cut. Had to go with the bigger option since everything is bigger in Texas. At the Texas Roadhouse. LOL! My steak came out exactly how I ordered it. A perfect Medium Rare. I was very satisfied (and if anyone states anything about steak sauce or they offer you steak sauce, then you should be alarmed the steaks are terrible or they have absolutely no comprehension, understanding of how steak should be prepared, cooked and served). No proper steak should ever need steak sauce. It is an abomination. Thankful they didn't offer any when my steak was placed in front of me in a timely fashion. The bake potato was pleasing with its cheese, sour cream, and crumbled back on it. The caesar salad was sub-par. It needed pepper. It was very bland, and the croutons were soggy. I will know better for next time I pop in to not get this side item. Things about their front of the house service. Although they were very efficient and quick, somethings I dislike while I am trying to enjoy my meal is seeing multiple staff member standing about or leaning, lurking, even taking amongst themselves. There was way too many staff members there. It was almost overwhelming. Another thing is, we have several different people asking us about refilling our drink three or four times during our meal. A bit rude in my opinion being interrupted a lot by this process when you are having a meal with your family; however, our server was the only person to bring us refills when she noticed our drink was half consumed. She didn't even ask if we want more, just brought it. That is the epitome of great service when they perform like that. The others who swarmed our table were completely unnecessary. My husband and I typically love to eat here so much so that we drive two hours to get there however this past Saturday night was horrible. I ordered a ribeye baked potato and salad and my husband had the fillet baked potato and salad. My ribeye had absolutely no seasoning on it and was so fatty tough and chewy it was pretty much impossible to eat. When our food came out my plate didn't have my potato the waiter said they ran out and it would be a few minutes I said okay that's fine but when it came out it was hard as a rock, I sat there for probably ten minutes waiting for our waiter to come check on us he never did finally a older lady with a headset walked by so I told her about my steak and potato she took the potato back to the kitchen can back a few minutes later with a new one that was still a little hard so I told her this one's still hard to she said well they squeezed it. I was so irritated I said don't worry about it. This isn't the first time we've had issues here but they usually go above and beyond to make it right rather it's fixing the food or giving a discount but this lady acted liked she could care less. We arrive to see at least two dozen people waiting outside and nearly the same amount waiting inside. The hostess told us the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour. I would have left immediately, but my friend really wanted to eat there. Fine. It's the weekend and the wait was to be expected. After about an hour, we were finally seated. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the only reason I didn't give a one star review. It was so incredibly loud in there. I don't know why, but this place feels the need to crank their country music as loud as it can possibly go. Having a conversation in there is very difficult. And as if it weren't loud enough, towards the end, one of the waitstaff yells at the top of her lungs that it was someone's birthday and they were turning 31. Fascinating stuff, really. : / I've never understood the annoying tradition of waiters you don't know yelling to a room full of diners you don't know that it's your birthday. It's annoying for 99.9% of everyone involved. The food: I ordered the Smokehouse burger, minus bbq sauce. The second I took a bite, almost the entire contents of the burger slide off, half of it falling on my plate and the other half in my lap. The expression, "As messed up as a soup sandwich.", immediately came to mind. It makes no sense why they put more mushrooms and onions on the burger than meat.
