The steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned; however, had some fat and was a little tough in spots. The sides were piping hot. The potatoes tasted great; however, the corn was quite bland. A steakhouse that can't prepare a steak. I ordered medium well, when it came, blood oozed out of the top before I made a cut, made one slice, my plate was overrun with blood. They took the steak back, brought it back dry and burnt, the same steak with the same pathetic slice that I had cut off still on the side. I asked them to just take the entire entree back, I had suddenly lost my appetite. The worst thing was when the bloody steak was originally sent back, three young workers, all ladies, seemed to slide the plate around, snickering over it, before someone finally picked it up and took it back. Not sure what as so funny about it. I did ask when they returned the now burnt steak what was so funny that they laughed over my meal (think spit, I did), they said they were laughing at the bartender, just coincidentally laughed over the steak, so appearances were not as they appeared, I guess. It was a poor decision to do that in front of a customer. And yes, we did pay our bill, did not ask for any special consideration. Will I go back? Not sure. I have to think about it. Just not happy, and a little hungry, which I did not plan when I chose to go there. I feel a steakhouse should know how to prepare a steak and if they goof up, make a new one. Got a large Togo order for the fam tonight. Travelled to Fairmont with the food. It was still great! Order was perfect....down to the extra sauces and such. I am a restaurant manager myself so I tend to be a little more forgiving than the average person. However, credit is due to the staff for getting all of the add-ons and modifications, as well as steak temperatures! Very well put together meal. We have a family member in a wheelchair so it is hard to dine in at Texas Roadhouse because it is tight. I will def order from this location for Togo, though. Opposite experiences in Clarksburg. Terribly disappointing experience tonight at Texas Roadhouse in Morgantown. I want to start by saying that my family and I are regulars at Texas Roadhouse Morgantown. We eat out 5-6 times a week and we have always loved their food, some of the best steaks around. Tonight, I took my whole family out for dinner and they stuck us under an air vent with the air blowing straight down on us. We were the only table in the back, several empty tables to which they could have moved us. I asked if they could turn the air down but was essentially ignored. By the time I was done eating, my nose was literally running because it was so cold. Couldn't enjoy the food because I was shivering. When the waitress brought the check, it literally blew off the table. Told the manager and he essentially said sorry for your luck and blew me off. Will never go back. read more

We went here after running quickly out of bww, so this place was a relief! We had wanted to be in bar area but help had not yet arrived. We had a great waiter so I'm pleased they sat us elsewhere. We passing through town and stopped here for dinner. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. The salad was old, brown, and definitely past its prime. I was able to eat the chicken but that was all. After calling the manager, he wasn't less then concerned and did not seem to genuinely care. He asked if I wanted something else but I declined. He took several dollars off of the bill which I appreciated but did not feel this fully compensated for lack of dinner. The restroom was atrocious. It was in desperate need of a cleaning, the trash was overflowing and there was a distinct moldy odor in the bathroom. On the positive side, our server was friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I went to the Texas Roadhouse last evening. I now call it Texas House of Pain. The reviews on Yelp are really great. WHY I will never know. Our steaks was mediocre, tasteless. We didn't eat them all. The green beans were awful. The rolls were sweet rolls and they give you brown sugar butter to put on them. If all that isn't bad enough it is so ridiculously loud in there. You can't even think of having a conversation with you partner. The music is deafening!!! And they make it oven louder when the line dancers come out to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. We are in our 60's there is just too much noise & loud music to enjoy having a dinner there. We went on a Tuesday thinking it might not be to bad. We had gone on a Friday evening, and while we were sitting and waiting to be seated. I looked at my boyfriend and says no way it's too loud. I'm sure it's great for families only because you don't have to keep your kids quiet they can't possibly make as much noise as what is in there during your dining time. read more

I've eaten at Texas Roadhouse's probably about 2 dozen times and I have never left unsatisfied. They have a good tasty cheap kids menu (my kids love the mini-cheeseburgers). Of all the things I've eaten from the catfish, ribs, steak, salads etc. the burgers are probably my least favorite, but they are still good as well. I love their fries as well! read more

Texas Roadhouse has always been consistent which I value in a franchise. This location was no different. I order the small sirloin, medium rare; it was perfectly cooked. My daughter ordered a critter salad and the person who delivered noticed it was missing bacon and questioned if it was supposed to left off. When she said no, that she wanted bacon, he happily brought her some. My husband tried the herd crusted chicken and he said it was delicious and the perfect serving size. Our appetizer was served with 2 cups of ranch, and that isn't a standard but I was very grateful. Glad one of my favorite chains didn't disappoint! I don't know WHAT happened to this place but I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The mixed drinks were nasty and we had to send our wings back TWICE for being raw, and my daughters Mac and cheese was the worst. My friends and I had a wonderful experience at the Star City Texas Roadhouse. Obviously, the food was delicious. Rolls were sick and came with cinnabutter. Fried pickles, grilled shrimp, and onion blossoms were great appetizers. The steak was delicious, and they cook it exactly how you ask them to. Furthermore, the bar was solid--decent strawberry margaritas, and a good selection of draft beers ($3.79 for a 22 oz. Yuengling is pretty swass). It was a worthy feast after a long day of injuring friends' heads with jagged ice-rocks!! The main thing to note, however, is that our group had the best server I've ever had. Katie was polite, precise, prompt, and willing to break up our bill into 9 individual checks, and somehow immediately returned all of the credit cards to the correct people. I would have asked her out to dinner, but it would have been too disappointing to go somewhere and be served by not Katie. In short: Star City Texas Roadhouse is great. Katie is perfect. read more

They have changed the chicken critters recipe since our last visit. The new recipe tastes like generic frozen chicken tenders you can get from Kroger's freezer section. They were not crispy at all and much, much smaller than the original. The only reason I continued to go to Texas Roadhouse was because they made most things in house, but this change leads me to believe the chain will continue to reduce the quality of their food for a price reduction on the corporate end. I will add this to the list of other chain restaurants I no longer visit. read more

This satisfies my craving for Texas Roadhouse but I have to say the rolls are not as good as other locations (ie Pasadena, MD) our waitress was very pleasant. The cheese fries were not that good, really soggy and the cheese could have been melted a bit more. The house salad is great, the green beans are awesome, the mac and cheese is very dry, the steaks are good but they tend to be a little tough in spots. Brought our college basketball team here on our trip down to Buckhannon. The staff was friendly and fast. We got our orders preordered and they were ready when we got there. I have never been here before, but my fiance decided to take me here since he used to eat there a lot and said they had good food. I ordered a cheeseburger that was rather decent, the buns however were not crispy, they didn't even try to toast them and the fries were greasy and not very delicious. I was not a fan of the butter that they served with the bread, it just tasted oily and not very delicious. I have had better at fast food places. My fiance also ordered a sandwich and asked for Onion Rings and he didn't even get those on his plate. They gave him fries instead. The service was pretty mediocre at best and I probably won't be back to this place. If I wanna go to a Texas Roadhouse, I will go to Texas and find a roadhouse and eat there. read more

Today we used a coupon for a free cactus blossom however we were still charged for it, we didn't notice the mistake till after paying and when we tried to locate our waitress she was no where to be found. I also ordered my steak rare and it was way over medium well. The manager on shift brought me a new one (cooked perfectly the second time) and was very nice about it (male manager at about 3 pm 9/9). When our waiter finally found his way back to our table I told him he forgot our salads... he offered to get them, I did not want them. He offered us soggy salads Togo. The manager was so gracious and gave us 5$ off our 55$ tab... simple job, take the order, bring the drinks, bring the SALADS, then the entree. I am up here in WV working and have had lunch / dinner 5 times at this Texas Roadhouse. The staff is super friendly and very polite & attentive. The food is good, actually very good. I am only giving them 2 stars because of one super important reason... I like my steak cooked medium rare... On 4 out of 5 of my visits the kitchen has WAY over cooked my steak and had to serve up a second one cooked properly. Now this second steak on every occasion has been perfect; however it makes for a rather aggravating experience. read more
