The breakfast potatoes were soft yet firm with delicious little crispy bits hidden throughout. My wife's Crabmeat Omelette was good. The crabmeat wasn't overly fishy and the omelette was fluffy. It just needed something extra to take it over the top, like fresh green onions or chives. This place was great. Everything from the service, the food and the atmosphere was above and beyond. I am definitely coming back and trying everything.

I was assured that they had cakes and that they could write on the cake. My sister and I took an Uber to the store and they had a cake available, but they told us it would be about 5 minutes before the person who did the writing arrived. We waited much longer than 5 minutes and the person who was supposed to do the writing NEVER arrived. We could see the staff texting and calling and finally one of the people working said that she was not good at it, but she offered to write on the cake for us. She didn't do a great job (all we wanted was "Happy Birthday" and my brother's name) but it was better than nothing, and my sister and I truly appreciated those that tried to assist us. My rating is based upon the horrible service by the person who was supposed to do the writing, and the fact that we paid $35 for a chocolate cake that was dry and not very good. I would not recommend this bakery, even with the great service we received from those who were working that day.

Thankfully, his daughter, Concetta, has continued the family legacy. We were fortunate to meet her during our visit. She was incredibly gracious, and spending time with her made the experience even more memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't leave without stocking up on spices and sauces. It's amazing how much history, culture, and tradition are packed into this one place. The gumbo roux is the perfect rich, dark color, and the flavor is everything you hope for--authentic, hearty, and reminiscent of New Orleans.
