Completely incompetent pharmacy, cannot operate on downtime and instead choose to stop working instead of trying to get prescriptions filled and mailed by hand. I paid $125 for my prescription 13 days ago. I was given a time frame of 48-72 hours not once but twice. After that time had surpassed, I called to check the status of my prescription. I was informed that "maybe" I will receive it the following week. Due to the fact I was not informed of the delay in my medication, I requested a refund. I was told my money was refunded by the employee and the supervisor as well. When I called today , several days later, I was informed my refund has not been processed!! Seriously??? When I told them I was going to file a complaint, the employee took my email address and informed me by the end of the day I will receive confirmation my payment has been refunded. Its late afternoon. Still have yet to receive it. From the incompetence of this pharmacy I do not expect to. I am a customer who is not happy with the service and inadequacies of this pharmacy. They have been giving me the run around. You cannot just take my money with no service rendered. I paid for my prescription. Since I was not going to receive it in a timely matter I wanted my money back. From the reviews, seems to be a common thing. I will inform my doctor to NEVER send my prescriptions here again!!! I was scheduled for an appointment for my COVID vaccinations and the experience was really pleasant. The staff were very courteous snd helpful. While waiting for 15 mins after the shots , I noticed that they treated everyone as they would treat their family members. It is nice to see this kind of service in a pharmacy . If i could give them zero stars I WOULD! Started the whole process with my physician to get a prescription for semiglutide.... HA! That's process started on June 22nd... today is July 25th and still haven't received prescription in fact they charged me 507$ on July 12th then shipped it July 20th only to deliver it to a office not even my home! Not correct ! Then i find out my charges were only suppose to be 150$ for two months supply!! I'm called left messages with voicemail, and spoke with pharmacist Jerry.... I needed medication before I left for a trip the following week and I went and placed my order a week prior. I have used the pharmacy for 7 years. It was great until the past year. It takes close to two weeks (although they claim one week) to get a compound prescription filled. If you call to check the status, you always get the voice message. They claim to check it multiple times a day and will return calls. My experience is they don't call back. Also, a few months ago there was an issue with my credit card on file, the expiration date expired. I waited my week and then started checking on it. They didn't bother to call me a week earlier to say the card expired. It ended up taking over 2 weeks. It's a drug that I need to take nightly so multiple weeks without it is probably not good. I have used this pharmacy for a couple of years for compounding a drug I need for a condition I have. I have had no complaints until the last 2 times of refilling this drug. The label states to allow 48-72 hours to prepare it. I allow for that when I order a refill but last time It took longer and I called a couple of times to see when it would be ready. But this time, it took about 3 weeks and I had to try to talk to someone there but you had to leave a message, after listening to a 10 minute ad and no one called me back. Today, I called and a human answered the phone and was Going to check on it and call me back. No luck with that either! Another employee called me hours later and gave me a time to pick it up. Then, I went to pick it up, waited in line quite a while and when it was my turn, the clerk at the front was new and couldn't find the Rx. She was asking for help and as I looked around, I counted 12 employees behind the counter, all appearing busy, and total disorganization: multiple bins filled with bags of Rxs stacked on top of each other-like 4-5 all over the place. I've been a pharmacy tech in the past and to me it looked a mess. Then, she finds it and I asked her if here were syringes in the sack (to withdraw the liquid from the bottle. She looked and said no, came back, I paid $125 and was glad to leave! When I got home and removed the bottle and checked the opening (which needs a certain cap with a hole in it to withdraw the medication). No such luck and the syringe was a big 10 ml syringe, not the 3 ml I need to get the right dosage. Fortunately, I still had a bottle and an old syringe that I can use. I told them in a phone message and in person that I would never come back! I found another compounding pharmacy nearer to my house that neighbors tell me is excellent and when I called to get the Rx transferred, the new place gave me a price that was $40 cheaper! Absolute worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with - beginning to wonder if they are not a scam!!!! I paid for medication three weeks ago ($250.00) through my doctor's office - received a text message from Texas Star saying it was shipped out only to be told several days later when I contacted my doctor's office that it was delivered to them but not packaged property and ruined - my doctor's office tried contacting them and could get no answer so I then sent Texas Star a text message advising them of what my doctor's office had said because they said they too could not get through to them - only recorded messages putting you on hold without anyone ever picking up - I did find it amusing that one phone option was if you want to become a provider with them then pick that option and I did have some one answer - only because they thought they were going to be able to start business with another service provider and get some money I am sure - they did then contact my doctor's office and they were told, along with me in a text - that it was going to be shipped out again - now three weeks out and my doctor's office said they never received it - I work for a law firm and am going to give them till the end of this month then we are taking action. You should not take customer's money and not provide the goods and services you promised, as I would told I would have my medication within a week - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! read more

Poor communication ! I have been a customer here for years and only once before had a problem with my compounded medication . After 2 weeks of no refill and contacting my dr., my hormone Dr office called me and assured me that they had called in a refill and that the pharmacy had some type of system malfunction . Two days passed and ( I was allowing them time to fill it ) and I call . My med is on hold , and the pharmacy technician - female - was rude and insinuated that my dr had restricted my amount of refill " for reasons I needed to ask my dr ". Nope ! The law does not allow them to refill my med beyond the date of my upcoming appointment. That's reasonable and easy to understand - IF IT WAS EXPLAINED CORRECTLY ! Instead this young woman - not a pharmacist - implied that I was probably abusing my med or had some type of situation with my dr. office . The staff that I interact with there - in person - at the counter are THE NICEST WOMEN . This pharmacy put my med " on hold " because it wasn't a full refill - BUT THEIR POLICY IS TO CONTACT THE PATIENT AND ASK IF THEY WAMT THE PARTIAL REFILL - WHICH THEY DID NOT DO . After over 2 weeks , I got my partial refill ( less than half the quantity ) and paid $5 less than the full amount . Wow . This was such unprofessional conduct on their part . My wife and i dropped some blood off last wednesday to have eye drops made. My wife called to check today if they were ready and the response was the blood was bad. My wife was upset and the woman said the doctor had not renewed the prescription. So my wife asked about the blood being bad and the woman claimed she never said it. My wife was put on hold and when the attendant came back told my wife she could pick up the blood and take it to another pharmacy. Very unprofessional and rude. I experienced all the problems mentioned by others, late or no prescriptions when they say it's ready, having to play middle man between them and my doctor, rude staff. They answer the phone without even greeting their customers before saying, "please hold!" They don't even give you a chance to reply before placing you on hold! My prescription was ordered on Tuesday and I prepaid on Tuesday. I called for a curbside pickup on Saturday, but was placed on hold again. I can't believe how bad this place is. Really horrible customer service by high school kids with bad attitudes. Place seems very disorganized and hectic. Sometimes you stand there for several minutes before being acknowledged by the 10-15 folks acting very busy. Regarding their phone app: 80% of the time their refill phone app doesn't work. You only find this out when you call to check on your order and they say they never received it. This adds several days to your wait time. Regarding calling: 50% of the time if you call in your refill they say you didn't call. You only find this out when you call to check on your order and they say they never received it. You are at the end of the line again on getting your medication. 25% of the time they do not include a bottle stopper or the right size syringes so you have to drive back up there. They said they could complete mine but when I brought it in the said they didn't have the NDCcodes. I guess they can't read the bottles that they used. I get my compounded HRT from Texas Star Pharmacy. Customer Service from the women in front are great; the pharmacist has always been patient while answering all questions. The price of my prescription is also much less than it was from a different compound pharmacy I was using. The only negative issue I've encountered here was yesterday when I called to ask if my doctor had called in my refill. The prescription wasn't ready yet so I asked if they were open the next day (today). If not I was going to drive over & wait; if they were I'd planned on picking it up today. The person on the phone said yes, the pharmacy would be open. Unfortunately the pharmacy is open only 1/2 days on Saturday, which wasn't made clear. I used the last of my HRT this morning which means the rapid drop in my estrogen over the next 2 days will cause a bad migraine plus I'll have to take a long lunch Monday to pick up the prescription. read more

The most unprofessional pharmacy I've ever delt with. After paying for my medication it was delivered to a wrong address an address that I never lived at. Furthermore, my medication was not supposed to be delivered because I travel for my job; therefore, I requested to pick it up. I was also lied to by an associate at Texas Star that my prescription was delivered to my address however when the picture of the front door and mat was described I attempted to explain that was not the description of my front door and I have a video doorbell and there was no delivery received at my address. Over a two week time span and daily calls to the pharmacy I was told by Brittany and other associates that Supervisor Josh Keller was in a meeting and would return my call. I was then instructed to contact my doctor to see if they would mind sending another prescription because the prescription had already been filled. However, the week prior before being told to contact my doctor, I was told Josh Keller would contact my doctor for another prescription, but he failed to do so. I work a demanding job that deals with life and death therefore I do not have time to hunt down a prescription or make daily calls while constantly being put on hold for minutes at a time. Not only did I not receive a return call, to date I haven't received my prescription. I asked for the name Josh Keller's superior and was told, "I don't know". For your health and pocketbook avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Texas Star Pharmacy will take your money and you will never receive your prescription but you will receive excuses. Texas Star has refused to refund my money for a prescription for prescription that I did not receive. read more

Absolutely worst pharmacy I've every had to deal with. Unfortunately this is the only place that my dr can send my prescription. The first 2 months everything went smoothly. For the last 10 months they have been an absolute nightmare! It takes at least 3 calls for them to start processing my med with the excuse that they are waiting on the dr to send it in or they can't find the prescription (even though many times I heard my dr oh the phone with them). Most recently I called 3 times over the course of 7 days and they told me it was being processed so I'm thinking any day now it should be ready. Nope! I called today and they are just now sending it in to be compounded. So now it will be almost 2 weeks without my meds. If someone would have communicated honestly with me instead of lying I would have been more understanding. None of them know what is going on. No one has any accountability and they don't care about the patients. I work in healthcare as a registered nurse and this is unacceptable- please find somewhere else because you the patient deserves better! read more
