Ambiance, we love these old buildings in our Texas towns, beautiful restaurants with some historical charm of the past. First they shut down their parking lot, and then started selling tickets. So if you bought a ticket that got you into the parking lot. However, you needed to buy a second ticket to get in to see the band, or you could just hang out in thier parking lot. Heres is where it gets worse. Since they shut down thier parking lot You had to park next door at the chruch. Which gladly charged $15. Now I only bought the first ticket because my girlfriend bought my second ticket. I did hear another patron say it cost her $70 and she ubered there so she didn't pay for the parking. I think we will not be returning to this establishment.

Apparently the great burgers that was part of another business within Hop Scholar had left and now they had Dragon Bowel Noodle Bar to serve meals. We ordered a few items as we were hungry and their food wasn't bad, but when I go to and Ale House, I kind of expect bar food and not an Asian Noodle Bar. Very disappointing to say to the least. Yes, our beer was good. Yes the egg roll, calamari and crab Rangoon was very good but Hop Scholar Ale House didn't feel like a true Ale House/pub atmosphere to us but I will let you stop in and make your own decision on this.
