Richard is so knowledgeable as he's been a guide of all kinds in Moab for over 30 years. He was fun and always made sure we were well informed and stopped for scenic views and photographs. He always made sure we were doing good before moving on. Our family had a great time and would recommend!

As many have mentioned this is a cowboy style dinner that you eat in a banquet hall before the ride. The food was all you can eat eat, and the staff were more than accommodating. However, the food was just average to poor. The meat was dry, and the BBQ sauce was just ridiculously sweet. Basic salad, corn, very dry rolls, canned beans and a dessert that was about two bites of a cobbler with a squirt of whipping cream. We barely touched it. The boat ride was great. We loved being on the water really enjoyed hearing the story about the history of Moab. The lights did bring a unique perspective to the rocks which against the night sky. We were lucky that the sky was completely dark and great night for stars. I would've liked to have learned more about the constellations since this is such a great place to stargaze. Overall I'm glad we did it. It was a fun activity, But for the price and the taste of the food I'm not so sure if it was worth the price. I like how it is a family run business . I would suggest improving your menu such as updating the food. It sounds like the menu has been the same for a while and it's kind of tired. it may help to update your recorded presentation to something a little bit more current , and maybe add some constellation information. I think you have a good thing going, but it could really use a fresh update.

We had the absolute best time with her -- she went along with our goofy vibe from the get-go and even took pictures of our whole group along the way since none of us wanted to bring our phone on the river. I felt safe doing the Class I/II rapids and even got out to swim in one, per Savannah's suggestion. The bus ride to the put-in is about 45 minutes and about half that on the way back and the other guides get up and give information about the surrounding landscape in a very funny, engaging way. Would absolutely do this again, next time, with our kids! 10/10.

She was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept us laughing all day with river guide stories and jokes. One of our favorite parts was when Molly pointed out a Padlé Oarefish. We'd never even heard of one before! She explained they're unusually flat fish, most commonly yellow with blue, red, or pink accents, and they're surprisingly well camouflaged along the river. Such a cool thing to learn! She also showed us a rock formation that looked exactly like Winnie the Pooh wearing a beret and breathing fire. Once you see it, you can't unsee it! The wildlife was unbelievable. We saw bighorn sheep, three otters, geese, blue herons (mud flamingos), a baby deer, a fox catching a fish, and a huge eagle nest. Molly said we're officially her lucky group because they usually only see a couple of those animals, and she'd never seen the deer or the fox on a trip before. Lunch was fantastic too! The "conewiches" were surprisingly delicious. We were a little hesitant because we'd never tried Mediterranean food before, but the homemade Mediterranean salad with feta and kettle chips folded into a tortilla absolutely rocked. I'm still wishing I had Molly's recipe! If you're thinking about rafting in Moab, book the Fisher Towers trip with Red River Adventures. If you get Molly as your guide, consider yourself lucky. You'll leave with great memories, sore cheeks from laughing, and probably a newfound appreciation for the rare and majestic Padlé Oarefish. Oh, and I t's officially Hank's Bubble Bath in our book. We found that Wild West voyages was very responsive and gave us periodic updates prior to our trip. On the day of our trip Jay picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the Canyonlands needle District. We can't see enough good things about our ghide Jay. He was informative, engaging, friendly, and really funny. We couldn't ask for a better guide. We stopped at various points and did two hikes in Canyonlands Totaling a little over 5 miles. Jay made it a point to keep the pace slow and easy. Wild West Voyages provided snacks, water, and a great lunch. We enjoyed our tour of the needles district so much that we immediately booked a white water rafting trip the following day. We spoke with Catherine at Wild West and she couldn't have been more helpful. She booked us for a rafting tour the very next day. We were pleasantly surprised the rates which we believe to be very reasonable. We recommend Wild West Voyoges to anyone who's thinking about taking a tour in and around Moab.

Everyone was knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the San Juan River, its history, geology and stories about people who lived it. If one doesn't spend much time on a river, they don't think about how it moves and where it goes, what happens when the water level is low, and rocks appear, etc. All of these details are taken into consideration every moment and it made the trip more enjoyable to know that someone was paying attention like this. The weather was with us. Sleeping under the stars for a week is an experience that everyone should have. The first night, Theresa thoughtfully arranged for a lunar eclipse and we watched it from chairs facing the river with the canyon walls beyond. One of the guides had high-powered binoculars which were passed around. It was a wonderful beginning to a perfect week. There was a strong sense of camaraderie among our group and with the guides. Sharing this experience was palpable amongst us. Although we were not pampered (who wants to be pampered on a river trip?) we were well taken care of. Doing some of the work like helping with taking the baggage off the boats and things like that are part of the process that brought us closer together because we were cooperating with each other. Not one cranky word was said in seven days. More kudos for Theresa and her crew. They were true professionals in every sense of the word. And T has a wicked sense of humor to boot (or not to boot).

In Moab Canoe and Raft, I found an outfitter I can trust and respect. Safety is always Kevin's first concern, as it should be, and he takes much care to ensure his clients go out well prepared to take on the wilderness. There is a review on Yelp that complains the Kevin's employee left a group at the river without their PFD's. ONLY A NOVICE NEWBIE WOULD LEAVE TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY GEAR WITH ANOTHER PERSON! Mistakes do happen, and the commonly accepted protocol is the one who might pay the price for a mistake, should be the one who does the final check out. THE WILDERNESS IS BY DEFINITION WILD, so be prepared, and take responsibility for your self and your party. NEVER FULLY COUNT ON ANYONE ELSE to ensure your own safety. In part I do agree with that review: "if you use MRCC" OR ANY OTHER OUTFITTER "be sure to check all of your gear before leaving town." AMEN! Kevin dispenses the sort of knowledgeable guidance on outfitting both self-guided and guided trips, choosing routes and gear appropriate to all skill levels and current conditions. Lisa and Kevin set up the sort of trips that so delighted them with this area, that they had to move here to live the life! For these two, outfitting is more than a job, it is a way of sharing a great life on the water. Kevin is also an authorized Wenonah Canoe dealer, arguably among the finest made boats. Clients always go out with the best gear, which makes staying safe and comfortable a tad easier.
