There are always fresh towels, pure water, and even coffee. When the fire happened nearby in Jan 2025 and I was concerned about air quality in the indoor space, Sage responded by installing air filters--truly above and beyond. So you're there for an hour and you're done for the day, heart pumping for 50 minutes and you get your muscles and your heart worked out. The 30 day challenge is perfect for anyone who is in a slump and needs to kickstart their fitness ( or anyone who's already in shape and wants a new challenge). Follow their diet and go to their workouts - you'll feel amazing - physical and mentally. What separates this from the equinox and other gyms is the community they have. The trainers and mentors keep you accountable. We know that the time you spend outside of the gym is just as important than when you're at the gym (if not more). This studio is so important to me- I joined as a founding member and regularly take classes 4 times…read morea week. The studio has a tight knit community and there are some of the best coaches around...BUT it saddens me to say the studio has been in a downward spiral of neglect. There are machines that are consistently broken, tablets that randomly shut off, the equipment is worn, weights are chipped, dust bunnies live behind the weight racks, walls need repairs etc. We are the smallest studio - only 10 stations - it is tight on the floor- and it feels like we are gravely neglected by the owner. We, the members, take great pride in being an OTF devotee, but it is to the point people I care about are cancelling their membership to go to the Pilates studio next door or some other exercise outlet. This shouldn't be. We have tried to appeal to the franchise owner to take pride in the facility and uphold the standard of the brand - but as I was once told by one of the managers "we are overflow studio" so it seems our requests fall on deaf ears. Do better! Show the dedicated members the experience that is commensurate with the high dues we pay to attend the class. I look forward to changing the review to celebrate fixes that I hope will be coming.

We continuously have broken equipment, which take forever to fix and waitlist for classes because equipment is OLD and breaks down frequently so stations are closed. We've tried to resolve this issue with the owner Gary Hirsch, sent him emails and letters collectively as members, and haven't heard back from him. Studios around the area have newer treadmills and weights, plus functioning rowers, yet we are stuck with super old equipment that are hazardous and stop working abruptly leading to possible injuries. Many people are cancelling their membership until the studio is upgraded. It's time to upgrade this studio asap!

BEWARE: This gym has a loophole they exploit that allows them to immediately void your contract/…read moreagreement within 5 days of singing up and charge you double-- plus add hidden fees. Their fine print (never mentioned by staff at sign-up) pushes you or even REQUIRES payment by debit card for a single club membership. You're then immediately sent a vague follow-up communication by email/text that easily goes to spam or is not checked---asking you to switch payment to a checking account/routing number. Miss that? This automatically voids your contract-- and you get charge double--- the full multi-club rate. In only 4 months, they ignored my agreement, charged me the inflated rate every single month- plus hit me with two separate annual fees back to back. Two yearly fees in only four months. When I raised it, staff and management deflected, blamed me, and defended the (hidden and vague) policies without addressing the math. In my opinion, this gym (or the parent company ABC fitness Solutions LLC. ) knows what they are doing with this loophole ---as they lean on reaching into the pockets of a young adult, student demographic that may not catch or care about this.

Top tier in my book. The neighborhood is super cute, parking is easy, and the facility is clean. So what's not to like? I'm just not a fan of the Montrose studio over their other locations. The room gets so hot and we're not even in the dead of summer yet. I'm not sure if A/C is limited or what's going on with the ventilation. Also, the layout of the space is narrow but long. Machines are spread out with enough space in between each other, but they're basically stacked vertically (one behind another for a few rows). It does seem to be the most space-conscious arrangement for what they are working with, but it's hard to follow if you're all the way in the back and the instructor is demo'ing a new move or if the instructor is newer or not superbly clear throughout class. If this studio location is close to you, do NOT skip on Motivate! Bring grip socks (if you don't want to buy them there) and be on time. If you're early, check out the boutiques and mom-in-pops along Honolulu Avenue. Choose a machine in or near the front unless you're a regular.
