Truly superb cigar selection. The bar isn't a fancy Yuppie cocktail affair, but meets the requirement. Friendly (non-gentrified) ambiance. If that is an issue for you, you should reconsider your life choices. Bar seats a dozen-ish people, and there is an adjacent lounge that seats another 20-ish. There is a huge patio, and a completely separate back bar. If you are in the area, this is the good Cigar lounge. IMO better than Shelly's. read more

Not a big fan, and would suggest Shelley's or Ozio over this place. We were forced to buy a cigar before heading to the lounge. One of us had a cigar the other was going to buy anyway... but I'm not sure that is even legal in an establishment with a liquor license... regardless, they charge $75 for an $11 dollar bottle of Cabernet. I have been to ton of lounges all over the country, I found nothing particularly wrong here. gd selection, ok seating, service. drinks, etc. For me, just lacked the social part of sitting down comfortably and having a nice smoke and conversation. Perfect escape from the noise at the convention center next door. I love my daughter, but I can only take 9,000 screaming girls at a volleyball tournament for a few hours before needing a break. This is a small shop, but it has good prices, a food selection and a friendly staff. Had to edit my review from 5 stars to 2. I usually stop in during the middle of the week, but when I went there on a Friday I was confronted with a decidedly unfriendly staff. There are other cigar shops. Been in a few times to pick up cigars because I pass it most days driving home from work. Last night was my first time actually sitting at the bar or lounge area. The space is nice and the bar was surprisingly well stocked with variety to be so small. The staff on hand were pleasant and accommodating to our party of 11 which was large considering the place isn't that big. Prices aren't cheap but by no means expensive so I would consider them to be reasonable. Most of our party were smoking cigars and I found the ventilation to be pretty good. The bartender was not stingy with her pours which is always a good thing. It was a good end to what was already a very good night. The only minor complaint I could make is that the humidor isn't very big which limits the selection of cigars that they have on hand to sell. This is definitely a spot that I will continue to frequent. read more

TG Cigar is conveniently placed across from the new convention center, especially for the cigar aficionados. I came into this store just to check out their cloves products and spotted Sampeorna cloves. I was thrilled since Sampeorna is no longer sold in the US. TG is a little cigar store that you can enjoy your cigar in a little lounge they have along with a flat screen television. Surprisingly, there are other products that you can check out and purchase. Last night marked my 2nd visit to TG Cigars and there will be many more to come. During my first visit, I peeped around the selection, decided on a couple smokes, and was on my way. The visit yesterday was completely different, and is the basis for the 5-star review. A sales rep from a handful of boutique brands was in to pass out some complimentary cigars and discuss his lines with the customers. It was on this visit I realized that this is not only a place to purchase the cigars, but a very comfortable place to relax and enjoy the smokes. I purchased 4 and recieved about as many free, and smoked 3 of them in-store. During this time, the other patrons and I were offered some very tasty wine to accompany the cigars we were smoking. Let me say that if you work in the area and if all you want to do after work is pick out a nice cigar from a wonderful selection given the size constraints of the shop, you may find yourself in nirvana. I even picked up a Liga Privada No. 9, a very rare cigar that most shops I've encountered even carry. I ended up spending 4 hours enjoying my wine, cigars, and the company of not only the rep, but the friendly owner. When I was able to talk with her about her selection and the various cigars, she proved to be a very knowledgable tobacconist, and can surely help you find the cigar for you if you are in need of some assistance. She even provided me an additional sample as she was interested in my own opinion on a cigar. This is a very refreshing change of pace, as other tobacconists in town have treated me with a bit of a condescending attitude. I might add that the cigars here are very well kept, at the proper humidity and temperature. You will find all your traditional favorites here, and if you are adventurous, some new, interesting, and/or rare cigars as well. I can see myself coming here much more often now that I know that I can enjoy my cigar on premise and relax. There is also a great selection of accessories and hookah products as well. This is a local business I strongly support. The cigar tasting events are absolutely worth checking out, and I will be sure to catch the next one coming up in May. read more

The selection was very limited. The only cigars that weren't in plastic wrappers were unbranded. I bought 4, and they were good. $8s good? Maybe.. Not exactly a Alec Bradley. I tried to buy a butane cigar, but the attendant didn't know what that way. I ended up being charger for the wrong it. The facility isn't very good looking either. Overall, its in walking distance to my place and their unbranded cigars were good enough that I'll go back, but only if I can't make it somewhere better. read more

Caveat: Tobacco Pipe Smoker I called in, asked if they carried any basket pipes. The woman who answered the phone claimed that they did. When I arrived at the store, I was very disappointed. The man working the counter didn't even know what a basket pipe was. I had to explain to him that they were generally carried in a basket and were cheap inexpensive tobacco pipes. Their selection is very limited, along with their selection of tobacco (both tin and bulk) which is nearly non-existent. They did refer me to Georgetown Tobacco down the road, they fortunately carried what I was looking for. If you're a pipe smoker, avoid this store. read more
