Also she asked me if I would like it curled but I requested just a blowout; I didn't want a curling iron to be used since I was just going home anyway. She literally just dried my hair without any product or tried to style with a roundbrush! When she was taking off the cape I was flabbergasted that THAT was the final result. She even said "your layers would look better if it was curled". It was very apparent that her work was amateur, and that she hasn't worked as a stylist for very long. Mind you, she was working with a grown out bob so had a clean slate on creating these "face-framing layers". At the end of the service I didn't point out the errors because I didn't want anymore hair to be cut off as I was trying to grow it out, and frankly, I don't think she had the skill to fix it at that point making it awkward. She was very nice and easy to talk to, but I think the owner/manager needs to see how she cuts people's hair in real time to give constructive criticism. I've been to this salon several times for haircuts and have had decent cuts until now. I usually don't request a particular stylist at this salon because everyone until this point has done a good job. There was a stylist I really liked but found out she relocated to Redlands, which was unfortunate. I recommend requesting a senior stylist, and ask how many years they've worked.

When you first walk inside there is a guy at this window trying to quickly size up what your purpose to the shop is. And although it was a bit strange by normal standards, I realize that this shop is a far cry from the chaotic "anything goes" type shops I've heard about around here. Which ironically made the shop feel a lot calmer than normal shops Where everybody is sitting in one room screaming, debating, or trying to get their point across. I was alarmed when a lot of older guys walked in and went right past me and into the chair ahead of me after waiting 30 mins. But the cut was worth the wait. The barber was very nice and experienced and gave me the best flattop I've had ever!!!! And those are honestly tough to cut! Most times when i ask for it they just ramp it up with no scissors or shaping. But this was a totally different experience.
