Came here when they opened on a Friday. It can be hard to spot on a busy intersection along Water St. just look for the green awning with nondescript lettering with the restaurant name. We were only able to order takeout because the place is reservation-only. The owner, Kat, is very friendly and sweet. She described the philosophy driving the restaurant as a cozy place where the limited amount of tables shouldn't burden the customer experience, hence their reservation policy. It's nice to see a business prioritize guest experience over rushing out as many covers as possible. The main point is the food. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Kra Prow, Pad Khing Soo, and Penang Curry. Everything was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and we were left feeling very satisfied. Best Thai I've had since Lotus of Siam in Vegas. Very highly recommended! read more

My wife and I went with my parents for dinner after they had a couple of good experiences at this place. The consistency continued with our visit. Thai at the Palace is both affordable and a good value. It's in an old soda fountain bar that has been creatively decorated to transport you to East Asia. One of the owners waited on us and was very kind and personable. You really felt like you were dining at someone's home. We had the curry puff and Thai spring rolls to start, followed by the Pad Preow Whan and Lard Na. Both were generous helpings with very fresh-tasting ingredients. We were going elsewhere for dessert, but would like to return to try the mango with sweet sticky rice. read more

Great brand new Thai place in downtown Belvidere. Owner is super nice and lives in town so it's a true local business. Pad Thai with chicken and Thai Dumplings were very good. Spice level 2 out of 5 is pretty spicy so if you aren't used to Thai food err on the side of caution FYI Parents enjoyed their green curry with tofu spice level 1 and some type of soup but I forget which Definitely recommend checking it out Another FYI - not sure their exact hours but they close at 3 after lunch until dinner so maybe an hour or two? read more

Excellent service and always a great historic dining where we can relax, enjoy the ambiance, and have fantastic fresh food. My two kiddos (7&11) gave the meal 11/10 and asked that the compliment be passed to the chef. What a wonderful surprise to find first class Thai Cuisine in NWNJ. The owners (a local family who also cook and serve) have repurposed an old ice cream parlor and created a vibrant and quirky restaurant. Upon leaving NYC a few years ago, we honestly thought we'd never again enjoy good Thai food without returning to the big city. Thai at the Palace is truly a gem and it is wonderful to have such a fine restaurant in Belvidere. The owner is super warm and friendly, and every time I've been there, I've had the pleasure of speaking with her while enjoying a delicious meal. Thai at the Palace's menu is extensive and patrons of all tastes will easily find something they will love. Personally, I love spicy food and I'm glad to say that, if you like it, Thai at the Palace does not hold back! If you want an authentic Thai meal, come to Thai at the Palace. I've had Thai food at many other restaurants in NJ and I have to say that Thai at the Palace is definitely at the top of my list. Lastly, the ambiance of the restaurant is well crafted and unique, as Thai at the Palace balances a marriage of Southeast Asian decor and turn-of-the-century aesthetic. I know my Thai food and this new restaurant is the best. The owner is so nice and the food is fantastic! They make the best Thai iced tea and the Masaman Curry and Panang Curry are the best I've ever had - even in the city. The Pad Thai is so good and their appetizers are all delicious. Do yourself a favor and get a bowl of the Tom Kha Gai soup...just trust me. From the warm and cozy décor, the wonderful owner and staff and the great food, Belvidere is lucky to have this restaurant. read more
