Disclaimer: This was a take-out order so I can't comment on waitstaff but I WILL say that the chef helped me personally and was super nice even though he was inundated with other take-out orders. This place always intimidated me because from the outside, it just looks like someone's house. A brownstone on the corner of a busy street with plain signage. But I'm glad I tried it. And just like the outside, when you walk in, the restaurant is like walking into someone's house. Pictures of iconic Thai people are hung on the walls and above the fireplace. Trinkets and Lunar New Year decor. Small statues and figurines. It's just like home. Warm and cozy and dare I say, romantic. I MUST come back at night on Date Night. For it's age, the place is immaculate. Even behind the radiator pipes. Not a spec of dust on the floor. I got the standard Pad Thai because I like yo have a baseline. It was good. Not as saucy as I'd like but tasty nonetheless. Really cheap with the peanuts but super generous with the tofu. And I'm soooo happy they fry the tofu. Everything was fresh and the spice level was on point. Prices were good and the portion was big. I must come back! Don't be too cocky and order Thai hot because it is THAI HOT. Food and service was very good. We shared appetizers of wings (sauce was like Thai chili not spicy) pot stickers and Tom yum soup (Thai hot). We all had curries for dinner. Massaman was yummy and comforting. Red curry with duck prepared spicy (not too hot even for a non spice eater like me) and another curry prepared Thai hot. I will just leave this five star review here again! Omg this place is amazing! We made a reservation by calling -it is a small place so I recommend a reservation. We were seated promptly. The server was excellent brought water and took our order quickly which is appreciated with two small children. We order the Thai wings, shrimp in pastry app, Thai basil fried rice with chicken and shrimp pad Thai. The best thing about this place is everything is piping hot! And that is how i like my food. This inauspicious building in an off-the-main-drag location is most definitely worth the trip. This is our third time enjoying their exceptional cuisine and our first time doing take out. Happily, nothing about the quality or flavors were compromised. For this meal, we ordered Chicken Satay (probably the best we've ever had), potstickers with green curry sauce (deliciously mild heat), Tom Ka Gai soup with chicken (creamy, smooth, and fantastic), and Pad Thai with pork (given all the other vibrant flavors we ate prior to diving into this, it tasted more bland, but it was still quite good). Though we didn't eat in this time, it's worth adding that this is a BYOB restaurant. At home, we paired our meal with a Riesling, and it was perfect! We will definitely be back! read more

I travel for work often and Thai food is my go to dinner, especially in a new town because it's often consistent. I arrived around 6:30pm to 1001 Thai and waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for a solid 5 minutes before I decided to walk toward the kitchen to be greeted by a server. The restaurant only had two other tables seated. The only server, a young guy, while very polite and nice was painfully slow. I was sat directly next to the other two-top in the room and was forced to listen to a couple suck on their fingers from the wings. Shortly after they finished their appetizer they asked the waiter to reach out to who I can only assume is the owner. He came downstairs from watching tv and sat down to eat white rice with soy sauce and an iced tea. Super odd. Then he proceeded to tell the couple about his day and dropped the "F" word pretty loudly in the quiet restaurant. I'm not a prude but in this situation, sitting directly next to his table I felt a little uncomfortable. Throughout dinner he continued to tell stories about his childhood that from an outsiders perspective would have been better kept to his personal life. After ordering I waited about 30 minutes for my garlic chicken stir fry. It seemed like it took forever for Thai food, especially considering how empty the restaurant was. The food is the silver lining here, it was super flavorful. The garlic flavor was forward without being overpowering, and sweet yet salty. I've never been to Thailand so I can't speak to it's authenticity but I've eaten my fair share of Thai food across the US. I would consider coming back with the expectation that the service is very slow. Funny enough, the owner actually turned around and asked how my dinner was. I was honest and shared how the situation was pretty odd and uncomfortable. He seem surprised that anyone was playing attention, it's not that I was actively listening but he wasn't quiet. I was half expecting him to lose his cool but to his credit he didn't get upset and took the feedback. I did tell him that the food was very good. For those considering this restaurant I'd recommend ordering takeout! It's a cute place but unless you want a long drawn out Thai meal you should try somewhere else. read more

Okay, so this place is a hidden gem FOR SURE. I highly recommend the drunken fried rice as the flavors just blend perfectly together in your mouth . The inside decor is adorable as well. I say keep your eyes peeled when driving down Northampton or you may miss out on some excellent Thai food right here in Easton. We also got the chicken pad Thai and the green stir fry dish...and the sauce for the stir fry is pure perfection. I usually don't choose to go to Thai restaurants, but a friend suggested this place. We went to eat a really early dinner. This tie food restaurant is a little gem! The inside is so so pretty. Kinda just deceiving from the outside! I was surprised at how nice it looks inside - it's really classy looking. This place was great. The food was fresh, the atmosphere was quiet and authentic, the prices were fair, and the servers were friendly and always coming by for water refills. One of my top favorite Thai food restaurants here in the Lehigh Valley I have taken my mother here, when she visited from California and she loved the drunken noodles. I highly recommend! The restaurant is small but cozy and welcoming, with a small front room and back room. Our waiter was nice and attentive. One thing that made me want to try this place was the fact that they had so many vegetarian options, including seitan. I ordered the seitan satay, which was a unique menu finding. I've never seen a vegetarian/vegan version of a chicken satay on a thai restaurant menu. The peanut sauce was delicious. I was given three skewers. The seitan was arranged as linked smaller pieces. I think I expected flatter, longer pieces (resembling the chicken ones I've seen) than the smaller popcorn chicken type shape. I took a bite and thought the seitan was more watery than I expected, which was disappointing and a confusing texture in my mouth. I could see that they attempted to do a juicier seitan, but not as successfully as other places do. Nonetheless, I appreciated the vegan option. I wouldn't necessarily get it again but it was worth trying out. I added a star just because of all the vegetarian/vegan options. For the main entree, I got the ginger tofu, which came with rice. There were only a few tofu chunks, minimally cooked, in a decent sauce. I wish there was more tofu/it was cooked differently for maximal flavor impact. The tofu tasted bland and hadn't soaked up any of the sauce. My friend got the pineapple fried rice with chicken and really liked it. When our check arrived, it came with 2 Andes mints, which is always a delicious way to end a meal read more

This was such a surprise. Really amazing Thai food with great spice. We had a table of 5 and every single thing we ordered was delicious. The Thai meatball appetizer was a favorite. Savory and meaty and not like any meatball I'd ever had before. One of the other appetizers was potstickers with a green curry sauce which everybody agreed was also noteworthy. I had spicy Thai basil (I've had similar dishes at other places called Pad Gra Prow. It was delicious and I really enjoyed the heat. I like spicy but Medium was every bit as spicy as I would be able to enjoy. We finished with some deserts. The green tea creme brulee was wonderful. Other people had the ice cream with Thai pancake. Dining here on a Friday night was an overall awesome experience. The service was great and the setting feels like you're a guest in someone's cozy home. Unlike other Thai places in Easton, the staff here clearly takes pride in being attentive and hospitable. As for the food, the Pad Thai was very good, just the perfect amount of sweet and savoryness. Another standout was the Spicy Thai Basil Stir-fry, which at the medium spice level was a decent amount of heat. If you do get the spicy wings, note that the medium spice level for this dish is a bit on the weaker side, so might make sense to get hot (but not Thai hot!). Roach haven don't eat there it's not worth the risk of getting sick and a waste of money

We came to this place due to the Yelp reviews but were very disappointed. We dressed up for date night and got there and felt like we were in somebody's old unkept house, this place should only be for takeout. I wanted the ginger Thai Stir fry with roasted duck but was told it would be too salty to I was directed to the more expensive half duck option. My husband got Panang curry, his meal barely had any veggies and the chicken was scarce, basically he received a bowl of liquid. What I loved about them is that there is no fishy smell in their curries and all the food is cooked fresh made to order. Dean and Peter and their staff are very welcoming too. I'm so happy you guys opened here in Easton! This definitely tops off the other Thai restaurants around here. Pad thai was really good, it had the right amount of sweet and sour taste! I also like it that they did not cook the bean sprouts in the pan with the noodles, since bean sprouts get cooked easily and is way better when put on the sides and only mixed when you start to eat. Massaman curry with roasted duck was pretty decent, even though the roasted duck wasn't that fresh, which I was quite disappointed about :( Recommended drink is green Thai tea (don't get the regular Thai tea which is more sweet). Dessert with fried bananas served with green tea ice cream was good too, but not over the top. Also I was very impressed with the service here - Our waiter was very considerate and understood what we needed right away. After he brought out the entrees, he asked right away if we wanted sharing plates. This was our second time at the restaurant since they changed hands. Food was great! Smaller portions but they were excellent. A difficult thing at this restaurant is the space available. Now I know it was Valentine's Day but even on a regular basis it's a bit cramped. For example, a small table meant for no more than two was used for four making it a little difficult to eat. The water was not good at all, had a real ugh taste, like rough tap water. The atmosphere was very nice. We like the fact that it is a very relaxed and quite place not noisy at all. They were very accommodating to us even when we had a few last minute changes. All in all the cons do not out weigh the pros and we will go back. The food here is great and the service is even better! We visited 1001 for the first time a few months ago and have been weekly regulars ever since. The food is always served piping hot with fresh ingredients and the staff is happy to recommend their personal favorites and popular items for those who aren't familiar with Thai food. The fact that you can bring your own booze is an added bonus. I recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice!
