Food was great. Perfect little hole in the wall restaurant. Service was just as good.

Last Thursday my colleague and I needed some comfort food after she arrived from the Netherlands and I from L.A. We ordered take out, but upon picking it up decided to eat there. We sat in the cute outdoor seating area on a perfect night. The food was very good. The chicken satay was especially tasty as an appetizer. I had pad Thai with chicken, which was good and a huge portion (though not enough peanuts on the side)-- plenty for dinner the following night, too. My colleague had green curry with tofu and loved it. Also a huge portion. Plus, the staff were very nice and perfectly timed their visits to refill water. If you're looking for good Thai food in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere, this is a nice spot.

Had the yellow chicken curry during lunch and it was delicious. Good amount of chicken and veggies. The jasmine rice was aromatic and I can smell it right when I open my bag. The rice was delicious too. The egg roll was good and didn't know it came with it so it was a cool surprise. I ordered through uber eats so I didn't read lol. I feel like it was good deal for $15 and very filling. The choose hot and it had a good heat to it.

This was a tough one. As a Thai person it was hard to eat what I ordered. The Pad Thai was missing ingredients and made incorrectly, pad see ew was not done correctly either. Bottom line is, the cook needs to really know how to make the traditional dishes correctly. I was definitely disappointed in the food, tasteless. Service was good, the servers were attentive. They didn't cook the food.

    Perfect fried rice!

This is the cutest, coziest and most delicious Thai Basil I've ever frequented. We visited for lunch on Friday and they did an amazing job. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The servers are super friendly. Will be returning

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 for very different ratings between the two dishes #37 Peanut Curry (Panang) with beef at mild spicy level - 5/5. The coconut and peanut flavoring was great since it was a bit sweet with a nutty aftertaste. The broccoli and zucchini were soft without being mushy but it was a bit sparse in protein. #44 Pad-See-Ew with pork at Thai hot spicy level - 2/5. The noodles were cooked well and the spicy level was great but there was not much flavoring to the dish overall other than the spice. The protein was a bit lacking and it just felt like we were eating spicy noodles with vegetables overall Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go. Loud oriental ambience music was playing right as you walk through the door but it's reasonable once you're no longer in the entranceway. Love the little kiosk front at the cash register Service: 5/5 - the younger cashier was really friendly and processed all the people coming in and out with a smile. There were 5 pick up orders within the 10 minutes we were there waiting for our food. Value for price: 4/5 - friendly service and reasonable pricing. The food flavoring differs heavily based on the dish you order

Well I suppose it was a matter of time before my luck ran out at Thai Basil. Today was my first order from this location. I ordered my usual pad Thai with chicken through Door Dash. It arrived with the box open so the food was not even remotely hot upon arrival. It was completely inedible to me due to the amount of fish sauce. I tried pawning it off to my sister and she agrees that it is inedible. We both order Thai food several times a month. This time was a total waste of money and I'm now still hungry.

Great service, great food. Why can't I get Thai food this good in Palm Springs? Fresh, tasty and authentic ingredients.

Upon my approach, the exterior was so beautifully curated that I initially mistook it for an exclusive, private small garden. I stopped at Glai Baan and ventured inside, finding the dining room wonderfully bustling with a lively, fashionable crowd a thoroughly excellent sign. The venue offers the most delightful arrangements; one may choose to dine within the main room or enjoy a seat adjacent to the exquisite flower beds and lush, cool greenery. There is also a beautifully structured small bar. The entire aesthetic is nothing short of exceptional, and I found myself quite enamored with the decor. I escorted myself to an excellent table facing the bar and requested a traditional Thai Iced Tea to begin. The bartender was an absolute credit to the establishment immensely warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The hospitality here is truly remarkable; the staff handles their patrons with the gracious care of family, which I found immensely pleasing. For my dinner entrée, I selected the Kanom Jeeb, which bears a marvelous resemblance to the finest dim sum found in elite Chinese establishments. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing, and upon its elegant presentation, my evening meal was rendered entirely complete. The seamless blend of sophisticated flavor, beautiful botany, and refined hospitality was an absolute treat. I shall most certainly be returning to this charming sanctuary in the near future

Given the landlocked area and dearth of Asian markets, I have so much respect and awe that they dont hold back on lemongrass and all the thai spices in both of the food and cocktails. Loud, modern, and hip scene even on a Wednesday night. 45 min to 1 hour wait if you attempt walk in but we did reservations just a week prior. We opted for indoors since we visited in June heat and that was a great decision as we were sat in the back clubhouse which felt like a secret cocktail club. Btw, if you reserve indoors or outdoors, they will hold you to it. Save room for their hibiscus and lemongrass creme brûlée that has the perfect crust and smooth texture. Even if you can't take a lot of spice, they did a great job sharing what dishes would still work. Appreciated the thoughtful text ahead of time to arrive early for parking because yes, it's extremely challenging in that area even though my dad has a disabled placard. Just go here. So worth it. It's so good that I'll forever be sad I have to drive 30 minutes to get it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the menu itself. It's divided into sections featuring dishes from different regions of Thailand, making the meal feel like you're traveling through the country one plate at a time. Everything was incredibly flavorful. The Boo Pad Pong Garee was outstanding. The crab was already de-shelled (thank you!), and the curry powder was balanced perfectly. It added flavor without overpowering the sweetness of the fresh crab. The BBQ pork in the Bamee Mu Dang was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. The crispy fried bits (garlic and herbs, I think?) took it to another level. I rarely eat many carbs because I'm usually trying to be disciplined, but I couldn't stop eating this dish. The Kaeng Kua Hoi was simple, elegant, and delicious. The mussels were bursting with curry flavor, and the sauce was too good to leave behind. Everyone at the table ended up pouring it over their rice. The Hoi Shae Nam Pla appetizer was another highlight. The scallops tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell the seafood throughout every dish was selected with care and intention. Service was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was nearly full, everything arrived surprisingly fast and piping hot. Our drinks were never empty, the staff checked on us regularly, and they even wished us a happy anniversary. A few minor cons: * You don't get to choose your spice level (or at least we weren't asked). The spice level was perfect for my husband and me, but our son found it slightly too spicy, even though he still enjoyed the food. * Parking is atrocious. Not really the restaurant's fault. It's just part of being in downtown Phoenix. * The desserts felt a little out of place. One option was a banana split, and another was a fusion crème brûlée split between hibiscus and lemongrass flavors. Since the rest of the menu is so thoughtfully focused on regional Thai cuisine, it would have been nice to see that same philosophy carried into the dessert menu. Overall, this place delivers a unique dining experience. Absolutely, 1,000,000% worth the drive. My family and I are super happy to have picked this place for our anniversary.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.
