After being a regular customer over the years, this place has gone down. A visit yesterday confirmed this was my last as some changes were unsatisfactory. There was no weekend lunch special and my son ordered chicken terriyaki- such a small meat portion served with vegetables not asked for. The rice was an extra charge which had never been before. I ordered duck noodle soup that used to come withbean sprouts crushed peanuts and cilantro in top- the cilantro was the only garnish although the broth was good and tasty. First time ordering here[delivery] and I was really hesitant from other reviews saying the delivery takes extremely long. Ordered from GrubHub, and I honestly felt a bit bad as I ordered a little over an hour before closing. Delivery time/Service:They actually arrived earlier than expected, despite the time inconvenience, the delivery guy was full of smiles, cheery, and very gracious. Warning: You're going to feel inclined to give him a great tip. Came with a take-out menu with two free coupons[free Thai iced-tea and wontons]! Food/Pricing: Honestly, there are cheaper thai places, but considering how this is a little more expensive than those, the quality is EXTREMELY better. This has officially become my go-to Thai place. The food came hot, organized, and looked very appealing. The iced coffee was cold with not too much ice, coconut ice-cream was also cold and not at all melted. Best mango and sticky rice, especially compared to other Thai places. Was a little wary after getting dry/bland sticky rice with mango from other places, so asked for a little bit extra sweet sauce; received two full tins of it[super generous]! They really pay attention to order specifications. Never been to the restaurant, but this place is all around wonderful! I typically don't like to write bad reviews but this time I just had to. I remember when this restaurant opened up many many years ago. I live in the neighbor hood and thought I would like to support local establishments so I tried them when they first opened up. I was disappointed back then and I'm even more disappointed today. I walked in around 12:30 to order a Beef Thai salad. They were completely empty. I came home looking forward to eating my salad and I couldn't eat it because every single piece of steak was hard and not edible (and I mean every single piece). I've had Steak Thai salads elsewhere and they have all been tender. It was definitely a waste of almost $12!!!!! I will not give them another chance. I LOVE the man that delivers the food. He always has a beautiful, genuine smile on his face and is one of the many reasons I keep ordering from them and not other Thai restaraunts. Egg rolls, Tom Yum, fried calamari, chow mein, steamed salmon, fried rice, yellow curry and veggies are all delicious. After drinking some vino with Schoolteacher, I decided that walking to dinner would be a better idea than driving. So, we hiked over to this place. As we walked past the waiting crowd at La Cocina next door, I silently wondered why nobody was at the Thai place. I opened the doors and we entered this quiet place, where there was nobody. The cool air, the Thai-themed decorated walls and quiet music were a nice change from the heat of outside and cacophony of people waiting for Mexican food next door. There were no crowds here, and no waiting either. We were eagerly greeted and quickly led over to a table. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves, and it was quiet and nice and romantic. Menus and beverages came quickly, we perused the dinner specials. Dinner specials are pretty much the same deal as Lunch specials, they come with steamed rice, egg rolls, and appetizer salads. They were also quite reasonably priced. We chose from that section, and I went with the Garlic chicken meal. We talked about our day and our upcoming weeks while we sipped cold iced tea and waited for our food to arrive. Which wasn't very long at all. My iced tea was good. The salads arrived first, the peanut dressing was thick and rich. The salad was good. It had been a little while since I'd had green, and my body did appreciate it. The dinner arrived before I was done, so I quickly finished off the last bit of lettuce before moving onto the chicken. The chicken was quite aromatic, and smelled of garlic. I quickly dug in after the obligatory yelp photo. The Garlic Chicken was great. Small bite sized bits of chicken swimming in a garlic sauce. I also enjoyed all the components that came with the meal. The egg roll, the rice as well as the chicken all were wonderful. Schoolteacher enjoyed her meal as well. The music had transitioned to (presumably) current poppy asian music. The service was great, our beverages never ran dry, and we were thanked often. We even got lil mints on the tray with the bill. After we paid the bill, we got up to leave, I thanked them for their meal, and we exited the place into the cooling night air. I'll definitely come back here again. We ended up at Ing Doi Thai when the restaurant next door told us we would have a 45 minute wait. For some reason when a good accident happens it increases the greatness, no? Their were several tables open when we walked in. It had a quiet atmosphere eve with kids there. The waiter was very nice, only one since the place is small. I ordered the Pad Thai which was fantastic. There was so much on my plate that I couldn't finish it and didn't pay as much attention to our chicken satay appetizer as I should, also delicious. The photos on the menu made me thin the potions would be small but really, they are incredibly large. The only part of the meal I didn't enjoy was the salad which had the same peanut sauce that came with the satay. On a salad, I am not a fan, totally gross in fact. That is okay, I was thrilled with the vegetables in it, so I had more time to focus on the main meal. A happy surprise. read more

Ing Doi has excellent Thai food, and I know my Thai food. We have eaten here a few times now and have always been impressed. The curries are delicious, the chicken satay is the best I have found, and the Thai iced teas here are also better than anywhere else I have found. Also, I would encourage other Yelpers to be skeptical of the two 1-star reviews posted for Ing Doi on 10/14/2011. Check out the user profiles of "Mo C." and "Stacy M.". These two individuals joined Yelp just to dump on Ing Doi and then both posted 5-star reviews for rival Life Thai Fusion on the same day. Suspicious much? You decide. For the record, I am not in any way affiliated with Ing Doi. It just bugs the heck out of me to see something like this. If you truly had a bad experience, don't post TWO negative reviews. It seems more likely, however, that these are just friends of a rival joint trying to smear the name of a perfectly good restaurant. I have never been to Life Thai Fusion, but now I don't think I want to. Having tried approximately 12 or 13 different Thai restaurants in the AV, SCV, and SFV, I can definitely say that Ing Doi is so far the best I have experienced. read more

Good soups! I got the roasted duck soup, it was tasty! Restaurant is clean and the staff if very friendly and attentive. They have a big menu so you have plenty of options to choose from. Hubby got pad thai and my daughter got tofu pad thai. They both really liked it! We also tried the cream cheese wontons and it was ... Meh. They were baked so the wrapper tasted funny and hard. OMG Roasted Duck Salad! We tried this restaurant today and it was a great choice. The space is exceptionally clean and very modern. My friends all ordered lunch specials and really enjoyed the combination of foods offered for the low price, particularly, the soup starter (soup or salad is included). The lunch specials also include an egg roll, rice and entree (many choices). I was thinking I would order Larb, since I enjoy that dish and needed a salad for lunch. I saw Roasted Duck Salad, which I have never had before, and thought I would try something different since the ingredients sounded good to me. It was one of the best things I've ever put into my mouth! The dressing is like nothing I've ever tasted before, and I have been eating Thai food since the early 80's. It was very citrus (lime) forward and contained a salty element that made the whole thing positively addictive. I wish I could go back and get another one for dinner. Next time I would ask for it to be a little spicier, though. Service was very polite and prompt. Our hot water (for tea) and iced tea were replenished without asking. I went here a couple times when it first opened and always have thought that their food was super fresh and amazing. They have kept this same consistency for years. Considering they are not that busy, I am somewhat surprised they have stayed open as long as they have, but I am glad they have!! Even when I order to-go it is prompt and always just as fresh. The one downside is that there is a card minimum of $15. Their lunch specials are priced very well and so you must think ahead to pay with cash if you are only ordering one dish. This is the only reason I put 4 stars, otherwise they would get 5! I would recommend the Pad See Ew and the Chicken Satay. Also if you like coconut, be sure to get the Young Coconut as a healthy dessert. So so good. :) read more

Great Thai restaurant!! The food is excellent - never disappointed and we've eaten here a number of times. Service is super friendly and consistent. They are a family run business and take pride in their restaurant. Can be quite busy on weekends and then service is a little slower, but never slow and the atmosphere is nice so it's always pleasant to be there. A few booths along the windows and a few tables throughout the restaurant. Very clean! Great cold beer to go along with the spicy dishes. Portion sizes are great, not too much, not too little. Wonderful choices on the menu. I think the prices are very fair for the amount of food they bring. They have a lunch special which is a great price and you get a ton of food - I couldn't even finish it all and had to take some home. They have boba!! Wonderful soups and fantastic fish cakes! I cook a lot at home, so I'm very picky when it comes to eating out and am often disappointed when eating out, but not here. We have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. Somethings have been better than others, but all really good. I don't trust the reviews by people who gave low stars to this restaurant, it certainly doesn't deserve them. Compared to some other Thai restaurants around Santa Clarita, this place gets top stars on food and service, which when combined, create a perfect atmosphere for dining out. So I was on my way home one day and my boyfriend and I were starving. We saw this place and had stop... I love love love drunken noodles! i order the noddles and my boyfriend ordered the teriyaki chicken :-/ So when I ordered the drunken noodles at the highest level of heat #5 and bit into them with minimal heat, I was a little frustrated. What a joke! Then the teriyaki chicken came and it was so nasty! It smelt horrible and when the waiter noticed that we weren't eating it, he came over and asked if there was a problem. We told him it tasted as if the chicken had gone bad. He picked up our plates, brought us our bill... and still charged us for the nasty chicken. Who messes up teriyaki chicken? read more

If you like watered down Thai food this place is for you. Ordered "pad see ew" it had a pile of wide noodles and 4 small peaces of broccoli, The carrot's were sliced so thin they had only one side 0 flavor. My wife ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp, it had a pile of colored fried rice with 2 shrimps, 3 cashews, chicken sliced so thin it dissolved in the bland rice, again 0 flavor had to drench it with soy sauce and hot sauce, with the only 3 packets that they supplied with out napkins or cutlery. Ordered orange chicken for my kids I didn't know that you can turn chicken into rope like meat and bater the hell out of it so it looks meaty and drenched in frying oil. DISAPPOINTED. It seemed They just try and make the food as cheap as possible for maximum profit. SAD. They won't last. read more

Came here for some takeout while visiting some friends nearby. When I walked in I noticed that the restaurant was REALLY clean. There were only a few people dining there (it was kinda late) but there are only about ten tables total. The guy taking our order was really nice. He was really helpful and even offered us water while we waited for our order. We decided on pot stickers, cashew chicken, and shrimp pad thai. The pot stickers were okay. Nothing about them was bad, but they didn't stick in my mind in any way either. The cashew chicken was pretty good. Not oily, had lots of veggies, really flavorful. The pad thai though, soooo good! There was plenty of shrimp and there was the perfect amount of spiciness. If I hadn't eaten so much I would have had the whole thing! I would definitely come back again. Quick, friendly pick up service. I've eaten lots of Thai food and $69 plus tip for three people is really high but the lady gave us a free Thai iced tea. Very "Americanized" Thai. The only dish that had some good flavor was Prik King with Chicken but the green beans were very over cooked. Pad see ew with beef was dry. Chicken satay rubbery and no flavor. Coconut soup tasted old and the shrimp which I was sold up on were very over cooked. Mango desert was good. I feel a little bad leaving this review because the lady was very nice and appreciative of our business for the pick up order but the food was very disappointing. We still gave her a large tip for working the front lines during our nation's pandemic, so at least she got some financial benefit from us going in. I was really disappointed when I spent $70 for food to be delivered only to find out that they didn't put a single condiment in my order. I called and told them that they forgot to put soy sauce and hot sauce. The guy on the phone told me "sorry" and that "people don't want sauces in their orders". I said that's not true and and that it's called being cheap for a restaurant. I have ordered from them couple of times in the past and always thought this restaurant was expensive in general, but I still ordered from them anyway. At this point, I will never order from this restaurant again in the future because they don't seem to care about customer service. We came here for the first time for dinner. Not impressed at all. Had high hopes. Had great reviews. Service- we were only ones in the restaurant. Our server was friendly. After she delivered our food then disappeared and no where to be found. We needed drink refills and rice. Dying of thirst from the salt. Food- we ordered shrimp red curry which was salty and watery. drunken noodles has no flavor just salty and not spicy at all. Spicy eggplant with chicken was ok as well as the chicken satay. We ordered takeout for the first time from here tonight based on the positive reviews. Our order consisted of: -chicken satay -veggie egg rolls (comes with four) -golden bags -orange chicken -pad thai -Thai iced tea The chicken satay was probably the best I have ever had. In fact all of it was really very good! It was just more than enough to feed the three of us. We have a little leftover orange chicken & about half of the pad thai. The rest is gone! Cool thing: the orange chicken came with the sauce on the side. This made the chicken still super crispy when we ate it. Delicious. Such smart packaging. It was ready very fast - less than 20 min on a Saturday after 6 pm. No one else in the restaurant during pick-up which didn't seem weird as this is a very pick-up heavy as opposed to dine-in location from what I had already read. This review is of their delivery and customer service. We placed our order through Grubhub at 6:00pm and were told it was confirmed and would be there by 7:00pm at the latest. Then an update came that the latest would be 7:15pm. Okay totally fine, things happen. Then it became 7:30pm....8:00pm so we called the restaurant multiple times with no answer. FINALLY we get through and we are told the driver is 15 minutes away. 15 minutes pass and nothing...we call AGAIN and are given the drivers cell phone and he tells us the same thing that he will be 10 more minutes. Now its 8:30pm...2 and a half hours after our order was put in. The diver JUST got here and even had the nerve to tell my husband to come down and get it so he didn't have to park. Super disappointed!! We've been ordering out from Ing Doi Thai since they opened, and generally, the food is pretty good, not to mention convenient to where we live. However tonight, it was just me, so I decided to try the Teriyaki Chicken and steamed veggies. It's really hard to mess up Teri Chicken! Well, I was wrong! The chicken was basically inedible...I tried, but after chewing on each piece, ended up throwing most out pieces. I truly believe it was leftover chicken cooked a day or two ago. They also,charge extra for rice, but I always keep a package of TJs frozen brown rice on hand, so didn't have to order that. The best part were the steamed veggies. Needless to say, I think I'll pass on them for awhile, unless I'm craving one of their noodle dishes, which are very good. Just stay away fro the teriyaki chicken!! read more
