I was craving for eggs benedict and my hubby told me this place has it. He got to eat dinner here one evening and he loved it, so he wanted me to try. We ordered classic ham eggs benedict and breakfast burrito to share. The Benedict came with rosemary potatoes which were so yummy. I love the rosemary smell with potatoes. There is extra parking in the back. We walked in, was welcomed and found a booth. There is a lot of seating and booths are comfortable. Dropped in last week while in the area for lunch with my in-laws. Was looking forward to trying something new and the reviews were so good we just had to give it a try. Overall the experience was good, there were a few misses but for the most part it was very good and definitely worth a return visit one day. I had the diablo shrimp and I enjoyed it, it's a bit different than other diablo shrimp I've had and it could have used a touch more heat but it was well cooked and the flavor was good so I was happy. Rice and beans well cooked as well and made the meal very enjoyable. My father in law was curious about the lobster but they were out of it. He had the seafood quesadilla and described it as "interesting" but said he would order it again, some of the seafood inside was really rubbery like it had been overcooked. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. The salsa bar is nice but nothing is labeled, it's kind of guess and test and my poor wife got something that looked mild to her but ended up being very hot and she did not enjoy that as someone that doesn't like spicy stuff. They should include some labels or something to identify which salsa is which but everything at the salsa bar is fresh and tasty. It was a very good meal, I'd definitely visit again and encourage anyone in the area to try it out. read more

I've been a fan of the Sun Valley RJM for years. We happened to be in the area, and decided to check out the Santa Clarita branch. The food is still excellent. My favorite are the barbacoa tacos and tuna tacos. Their shrimp salad and tuna salad are also fabulous. I'm also a fan of the pastas. Really, you can't go wrong with whatever you order. I love that this establishment opened up another location in Santa Clarita. IYKYK the O.G one is in Sun Valley behind a gas station! I personally think the decor needs a major update, especially with them being located on Main Street. But aside from that, the menu is great and they have specials on a daily basis. I would say that this relatively new restaurant (7 months as of today) is the best Mexican food you can get in Santa Clarita for several reasons. 1. They offer hand-made tortillas. If you are a Mexican restaurant in SoCal, this is a must if you want a 5-star review from me. 2. Very friendly staff, with excellent focus on the customer. 3. The presentation of the food is amazing and it tastes as good as it looks. 4. The portions are generous and the prices are economical compared to any other sit-down Mexican restaurant (or basically any sit-down restaurant in SoCal these days). Most chicken meals at other restaurants are at least $18-24 post COVID. They are still in the $14-16 range for more food. 5. They have a great salsa bar with 8 types of salsas and other items like black beans to use with your chips (unlimited). Some other notes. They are not a huge restaurant, but they have about 8-9 booths and some other seating. It was nice and cool (ac was working) on what was a very hot day. They are sitting on Main street in Newhall and they have their own parking in the back. We have been here twice and have had the following so far. 1st time (May 2025) I was on a fish taco frenzy and had 1 of each of the Grilled salmon taco, grilled mahi mahi taco, and the ahi tuna taco. They were all great, with a lot of fish in them. Chicken picatta (not really Mexican per se, but it was great with a large portion of chicken). 2nd time. (August 2025 - date of this post) Pollo al carbon with salsa Veracruz (Tasted great and so much food for $14) I got the Crusted chia seed chicken mango salad. This was so good and so much more food than I expected for $12.50. I also got a grilled salmon taco as I didn't expect the salad to be so hearty. I also forgot from the first time we came here how big the piece of fish is in the taco. It was probably a 4-5oz salmon filet, which is huge for a taco. We left very satisfied today with our meals. We will definitely be making this one of our regular spots to hit. I welcome anyone to find a better Mexican restaurant in Santa Clarita that doesn't cost 50%+ more and also serves hand-made tortillas. read more

I came here for a late brunch with my future mother and law, mom, and fiancé before we went wedding dress shopping. This is a newer spot in downtown newhall. It's nice and spacious with lots of booths and tables. The inside is not too fancy but feels comfortable and homey. The staff greeted us and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and made sure to regularly check in with us. Our waters were filled many times throughout the meal. We ordered the fajitas (not pictured), quesadilla, salad, and asada. Everything was delicious, freshly made, and came out quickly. The portion of salad was huge which we loved. The flavor was great and everything was spiced well. They also have various salsas you can choose from that vary in spice and flavor. I would recommend trying them all, some were super spicy and smoky which was fantastic. They serve chips that are still warm to enjoy while you wait for your food. This is a little gem of a place we found in Newhall. We have been several times now and they have never disappointed us. The food here is kinda unique and very flavorful. I am not a fan of Eggs Benedict in general but I tried some of the sauce last time we were here and I opted to get it this time. It was delicious! I know sometimes the parking around can be limited, but it is so worth the visit even if you have to take a little tiny walk from parking.
