Been in SCV since 2008 and tried a bunch of local Thai food places but never had this place until today. It's a safe prediction that we won't need to find another spot for Thai food. The food was outstanding. Beef satay with cucumber and peanut sauce was great. The orange chicken was phenomenal. My wife got the drunken noodles which she's still raving about. Ordered delivery through the store (not grub hub or any 3rd party) and it was delivered fast and food was fresh. Granted it was also a Thursday afternoon. None the less - zero complaints. I've always loved this place. The food never disappoints and the staff is so kind. The pad see ew and pad thai are personal favorites. I have to get an iced thai tea to go every time! The parking situation can be a little tight due to the small lot, so I usually get my food to go. Finally gave this place a shot last week. I had the beef ga pow which I asked to be made spicy and to my surprise it actually came out spicy. Other than Siam Rice II, I have problems getting any Thai place in the SCV to actually make something spice. The wife had the garlic and pepper chicken which was also very flavorful. I met the owner several years ago as I was working in Eagle Rock and begged him to open a place in the SCV...And he did! His Mom and sister work there and have never been unhappy with the service or the food....delivery...(His Dad)...Or dinning in. My favs...Spicy shrimp salad...Pad thai woosen ,not on menu, you must ask for it...Kids love as will you orange chicken...Too many others to list...All the basics are great and it just feels so good to support a hard working family that does such a great job. That said...Sorry to see only a few negative reviews...Could it be that they are false? Or maybe Nick's customers are not the only one to notice a great place to enjoy a meal. Only ordered one time last week end. had it delivered. It was delivered 10 min, early and hot. Fair warning you better be hungry. I ordered 1 appetizer & 4 entries for 3 adults. My new favorite Thai restaurant. It's closer to home and they deliver! Their miso is simply divine, they don't skimp you on tofu, and I hold a special place in my heart for extra tofu. The staff here is very friendly, but if you decide to eat in the restaurant know that it might take a while for things to happen. Even when it is empty the intervals in which they check on you are a bit spread out, not in an inattentive way, but more of a relaxed way where they are not trying to rush you out. The food here is good I mostly get the yellow curry dinner special. It includes the yellow curry which has potatoes in it and I order it with tofu, and a choice of either soup or salad, I opt for the soup the broth is good and it has a little tofu, lettuce, carrot, and onions in it. The dinner special also comes with rice and an egg roll. The value is very good and the yellow curry is one of my favorite things to eat anywhere. read more

I was really surprised at all the good reviews of this place. The waiter was very slow and disappeared often. It took a while to get seated even though there was only a few tables filled and a long time to get my order taken. I ordered Tom Yum soup and the red curry lunch with beef. I specifically asked the waiter if any of the dishes had nuts or peanuts. Answer "no". OK - great...I then clearly stated, "please I can't have any nuts or peanuts". The salad arrived. I looked at the "dressing", it looked like peanut sauce. When the waiter finally showed his face again I caught his attention and asked "is this peanut sauce?" - "yes"...ok - I can't have peanut or nuts. Makes me wonder what else "doesn't have nuts" but does. He did bring another salad with sweet/spicy sauce. Soup arrived...it was Tom Kha, not Tom Yum (mushrooms were not straw mushrooms). Waiter left so quickly and I didn't see him again for a while, so I just ate it. It was OK. Not great. The chicken was tough. The lunch plate arrived. The egg role (and yeah - I get it, probably no one makes their own egg rolls and they come from the freezer - but that doesn't mean they should taste bad) was horrible. The red curry was flavorless and the beef super tough and tasted like cardboard. The food was horrible tasting, order was not right, service was slow and intermittent, and absolutely no help on the allergy front (that's just the icing on the cake). read more

this review is like a roller coaster. Full of up and down swings. Walk in and we are only the second customer in the place. Takes a long while for the kid to take our drink order. Down one. Finally takes the drink order and appetizer and by now the dinner order. Appetizer arrives. MEE Krob. Never tried this before but it was amazing. Fried crunchy thin rice noodle with sweet sauce and chicken. Fantastic. Up one.Dinner arrives. I ordered the spicy fried catfish. Not spicy. If it was fried it could have fooled me. Also not tasty. Down 2. Guy comes by takes it away and I asked for Pad See Ew to replace. Minutes later it arrived. Up one. Food was fantastic. Up another one. We finish and by now the place is packed. Every table full. Phone orders. Crazy. One kid in sneakers literally running like crazy. Up one for effort down one for it still being crazy slow to get a bill and get the heck out. So mixed up on what to say. Hard to fault good food and effort on service. Just ordered a number of different items from Ing Doi. My whole family was impressed. I did think they made one item too spicy and I called then on it. They made a new one and sent the driver back out. What more can they do. We greatly appreciated their effort and the quick re-delivery. I may not have even said anything but since it was my first order I wanted to taste it made milder to my taste and see how they responded to my call before I left my Yelp review. They passed with flying colors. Orange Chicken was excellent and different. My son loves Panda Express Orange Chicken but liked the Ing Doi version better. It is more crispy and you drizzle some extra sauce on it. We all thought it was very good. Excellent Chicken Satay which again is a family favorite and they did great. Pad Thai was also excellent. Pot stickers were great. And free delivery with a $15 minimum order. A wonderful Thai restaurant in our midst. Hope you try it and are as satisfied as we are. Tried calling to order for delivery. A guy picked up the phone and told me to hold. I held for about 10 minutes and he never came back on the line.
