We each enjoyed some fresh rolls to start. We had the laab chicken, while my friends tried the Panang curry and pho. We enjoyed the chicken pad Thai when we ordered takeout. Drinks are pretty pricey but you get a bottle of water when you eat in. Everything is tasty and pretty fairly priced, but because they are small, food comes out staggered, so everyone at your table gets served at different times- which is nice for ensuring you get hot food when it's hot, but not exactly convenient when you are being respectful of your table mates. So- be sure you know that when you sit- eat when it comes out, or it will get cold when you wait.

No. The chicken leek wontons were another level of flavorful -- spring onions, peas, and spinach swimming in a broth that pulled the whole dish together. Genuinely great. Shelley's butter chicken, on the other hand, took me straight back to that sharp curry smell that used to hang over certain NJ neighborhoods -- not my thing at all. On the drink side, I went with a beer that's easy to find around here, poured into genuinely nice glassware -- small touch, but it matters. The bar itself is extensive, and I spotted a bottle of absinthe sitting up top, which tells you they're not messing around. This is a well-appointed restaurant with great staff, a full sushi bar, and a menu that wanders across Thai, Japanese, and Indian without missing a beat. It shows up in good reviews around here often, and now I get why. Plenty of parking, safe downtown NPR neighborhood, and -- bonus -- no credit card upcharge. We'll be back, and next time I'm skipping the octopus.
