I'm going to start this by saying we ordered yellow chicken curry and a couple of other items for pickup. There was NO chicken in the curry. They refunded us for the item, but still, thats a big mistake and shouldn't happen. The food is ok, I find they don't really have any respect for the various spice levels they offer. Even very mild is spicy, so basically you have the choice between no spice or spicy, there's really no in between. The food taste wise overall is just not impressive for the price. The prices are also very high. $14 for chicken curry? $9 for 3 veggie only spring rolls? I believe it gets such high reviews because of the hype and the lack of decent Thai restaurants in the area. read more

This place is always a go to place for me when it comes to Thai food in Portland. I love their crab fried rice, they are consistent in flavor and texture. The amount of crab, you can truly taste the freshness of the crab meat they use. The pad thai with prawns is superb, the ingredients are fresh and tartness, sweetness and flavor is party in your mouth. Wash it down with Thai iced tea and coconut ice cream for desert. read more

Let me start by saying that I have LOVED Thai Bloom for nearly ten years. I'm sure I've spent hundreds of dollars there by now. It's my favorite restaurant; they have consistently quality food and customer service. I've never sent anything back or complained because there has never been a reason to. A few weeks ago I went in and ordered take-out. I ordered the Tom Yum soup that I had just recently had there and had been craving ever since. After I placed my order, I asked the hostess if it was too late to change it to the Tom Yum noodles with the spicy red broth instead of the traditional sweet and sour broth. She was able to talk the kitchen into changing it, which I appreciated. When my order finally came out, I checked to make sure they gave me the red spicy broth and discovered they hadn't. I told the hostess and she replied that she had specifically asked them for the red broth and she would have them fix it. My order came out again and I looked at the broth, which looked slightly darker than the first one but definitely not red. (Note that I know what this is supposed to look like since I had just eaten it a few weeks prior to this and several times before that.) At that time, a customer walked in and asked for a table of 16. I didn't feel comfortable asking the hostess to check my order again because they were so busy so I left, hoping it was correct. It wasn't. I ended up throwing out the broth because I didn't really care for it. I messaged Thai Bloom on Yelp and almost immediately received a reply from Nam, the floor manager, who apologized, told me she would "look into it" and credit my account. I wasn't sure if she meant my bank account or a credit at the restaurant and after a few days of not seeing a refund in my checking account, I wrote to her again on April 11th asking for clarification. I received no reply. I waited a few days and sent another message. Still nothing. I sent a THIRD message and no reply. I then sent a Facebook message and as of 8 am on April 17th, still no reply. I don't really even care about the money (although the soup was nearly 15 bucks!) I'm just extremely disappointed and angry that I'm being ignored. This is horrible customer service. Even if the manager decided not to refund my money for whatever reason, at least have the courtesy to respond to my messages. Please make this right, Thai Bloom, so that I can update my review positively and continue going to your restaurant. read more

Just a short 10 minute wait before being seated where we gave up on the inter place after waiting for 1,5 hours. Good food. Appetizers took about 20 mins which seemed very long as we were so tired and hungry. The soups came lukewarm, which they apologetically warmed up for us. Kids loved the food. Maybe next time we can be more prepared on what to expect in these busy urban restaurants. read more

I love Thai food and am always looking for a new place to try. I stopped by for lunch and was glad I did. There were a lot of fun things on the menu in addition to the usual. I had the pineapple curry and was a good choice. There was plenty of food and probably shouldn't have eaten it all but it was so good. The curry sauce was great and the medium spicy was perfect. Not great service at this place. We arrived to be seated. And there was no structure at all. Everyone just running around. We sat down just two of us and waited and waited and waited. Other people had came in been seated and orders taken and we did not have anybody come to our table. It wasn't until I put a look on my face where someone decided to come over. We both ordered fried rice. Nothing else. We sat and waited for 35 mins and still are sitting here waiting. Other tables came in and all have there food. We are still not eating. Great place for a nice dinner of some delicious Thai food. This place can definitely get crowded quickly. Came here on a Friday at around 5:45 and by the time we left there was a long wait by the door. But they also offer carry out and delivery. This time around had the salad rolls as an appetizer. Really good! And then for dinner I had their green curry with chicken. Their portions are definitely generous! Plenty of food for two meals. I was over charged $60 on my bill after sending back two entrees that were overly sweet. I paid for the appetizers (which were too sweet as well) and my bill was $40. Looking at my credit card statement they charged me $101. I was super polite to the waitress and even gave her a $10 cash tip but they still tried to rob me thinking I wouldn't notice. The food isn't good on top of being overly sweet and to top it off they tried to rob me. I don't recommend Thai Bloom. read more

I finally got to try out Thai Bloom. It looks to be one of the better places to have Thai food in Beaverton where I work. I thought I would have another version of Kao Soi. It is a Northern Thai based dish. I had a great version at Mee Dee but it was a little too rich with coconut milk. Thai Bloom's wasn't as rich with a little more sour to it. I liked it but one qualm I had is I wish they would have thinner slices of the red onion in it. It is a very filling dish for those who haven't had it. It is must have. I also had the handmade coconut ice cream which is free with checking in on Yelp. It was also excellent. I see why the food along with the service gets it's 4.25 overall rating on Yelp. read more

Best Thai Food in Beaverton area I am from Thailand and food is authentic. My husband and I eat here once a week. I am updating this restaurant to 5-star since service is better than before and they have new menu called "The Red Menu" with authentic Thai food if you are adventurous with Thai Food or you are Thai you would not be disappointed with the quality of food and the taste. Dishes on the red menu are hard to find elsewhere. You will have to order right away through if you have an hour for lunch because this place is busy during lunch hour. read more

Consistently tasty. We have only ordered takeout due to cautions over indoor dining during Covid. Usually takeout has a quality difference due to travel time, and we've had to reheat some of our orders, but it hasn't been too much of an issue. I imagine eating it in restaurant is even better. I had the chicken pad se ew and it was better than a lot of other ones that I've had before. Haven't been here for happy hour yet, but the prices look awesome! When you check-in on your Yelp account, you'll receive a coupon for a free handmade coconut ice cream! Sooo worth it. I mean, it's free food! A good place for families and get together's with friends. For how good the food was, the service was sadly "just okay." The restaurant had only 3-4 tables filled with customers at the time and it took forever for them to get our orders and give us our bill. Thai Bloom is a newer, authentic Thai restaurant in Beaverton. I understand that the Owner and some of the staff started it when Typhoon closed its doors. Their dishes are more traditional and authentic than most of the other Thai spots I have tried in town. The servers are friendly and helpful. This place is so bomb! I order to go food from here all the time. The curry is some of the best curry that I have had. I have ordered the red, yellow, panang & for the first time the pumpkin curry. Phenomenal. I always get chicken and it is very tender. The consistency is perfect (not too soupy and not too thick). The flavor is amazing in all of the curries. I have been to this restaurant before and felt they were a bit overpriced compared to the many other wonderfully Thai places around town but decided that my date and I should try their happy hour before our movie. We asked the hostess about wait time and she said she did not know. Then this guy walks up and says we just need to wait in line and mentions cutting! It was super weird. We went to another Thai restaurant right around the corner and received wonderful customer service.
