So, the last time I ate at this restaurant 2 years ago, the food was disgusting and the place was filthy. It was then a Chinese restaurant. A relative of mine, was raving about this nee thai place. I thought I'd give it a try. When I drove past the restaurant, I thought oh no. It was the old chinese restaurant that i hated. I walked in, and was surprised to see that theplace was newly renovated and looked clean. Best of all, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had scallion pancakes and seafood madness and it was just so good. I went back last week and tried their fried calamari and drunken noodles. The noodles were good, but the batter for the calamari was stale. I wish it was grilled intead of deep fried. In all, I think this place has redeemed itself thanks to its new owner/ chef. Tried this place on a whim on DoorDash , and what a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, Thai food is so much better than traditional Chinese food . Not a bloated MSG feeling afterwards. Everything was fresh an hot . Had pad Thai chicken , chicken fingers ,crab rangoons , potstickers , a chicken dish with pineapple and cashews . All excellent and will be a return customer. I waited more than 2 hours. Didn't received any delivery. The food is good there. Better for pickup but worse for delivery. I will never order from this place ever again. I highly don't recommend. I wish customer service was better so time isn't wasted. The fact one hour past, no contacting customer, the delivery app is worse at contacting restaurant. Each was blaming each other. 2 hour past. I want to give an update. I'm aware of the new chef or owner. So I added 4 new photos, Tum yum fried rice, Country pad Thai, updated papaya salad & Thai tea smoothie. I ordered Tum Yum fried rice, with seafood. It didnt taste that great and wasn't spicy at all, ask for extra spicy if you want spicy. This was very pricey $11.25 for a small portion that didn't fill up the container. I ordered papaya salad 3 times and the third time they put very little papaya in it. But where else can i get papaya salad in Lynn this good though?! Sorry but I miss the old female mom chef where my papaya salad was packed and loaded with veggies who gave me a very generous amount in the container! I love the Country Pad Thai. It was spicy and tasted gOood! Again, small portion size. Basil fried rice is good, its not even spicy. Ask for extra spicy, it'll taste way better. Drunken noodle is okay, close enough to the Khmer MeKaTungs. Since there's no Me Ka Tung anywhere in Lynn now Thai tea ice & smoothie versions are great. Calamari is very small and not that great. If you crave Calamari, Rolly's Tavern on The Square has big ones and great portion size and they're flavorful. Vietnamese fried rice is bland no flavor. Chicken wings... not a fan of the small portion but the hubby likes it. read more

I ordered papaya salad, garlic chicken (comes with rice on the side ) , and a chicken&shrimp pad Thai . Papaya Salad: Flavor is Nothing like authentic papaya salad, it didn't include the fish sauce and limey taste like a real papaya salad would have . It was kinda bland and costed too much just for a lack in flavor . 5/10 Garlic Chicken : Again, kinda bland, not what I expected . Didn't taste garlicky at all but it still tasted okay , I like that it comes with rice. 7/10 Pad Thai: I've tried their Pad Thai before and it usually tastes very good . I can't say how this one tasted like because I let my stepdad eat it . I do know that their Pad Thai usually NEVER disappoints and is always bomb digging. 9.5/10 read more

They have good customer service, a very clean restaurant, and great tasting food! I ordered shrimp fried rice and a side of veggies. The shrimp were medium and not those baby shrimp. All but one shrimp was deveined and everything tasted fresh. On my first visit the cashier was polite, but she didn't know how to use the Yelp check in discount and told me I had to order through Yelp for check in. She clearly didn't know, and after I taught her how to do the redemption, she honored it. She also called her supervisor in record time. It seems that for the Grubhub discount, you have to order through them. For Yelp, you can check in on the app and not have to order on site to get the discount. It's a great place to try, but if you blink you'll miss the restaurant. It's on a strip. read more

This is my FAVORITE Thai place! After driving pass this place numerous of times, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. The Cafe is very small, at most 3 tables. It's better to order a pickup, unless you want to pay $2 delivery. The lady who took my order was very polite and nice. I have tried the Crispy Pad Thai, the regular Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, dumplings, and the appetizers for two (which was HUGE! We couldn't finish it) I enjoyed all the food I ordered. Everything was freshly made. I always order the Drunken Noodles; it's not too oily or dry and there are plenty of vegetables. Also, the portions were large and I always have leftover for the next day. I have yet to try the curry. I love curry and I'm very skeptical about ordering curry to-go. Searching yelp for a Thai place that delivers I came across Thai Cafe and ended up pleasantly surprised. The location isn't the best in the city but they make up for it with their fresh ingredients and efficient & quick delivery. I found their menu online (which I don't recommend using because when they delivered the food they gave us better, updated paper ones). We've ordered her a couple times and have enjoyed everything. The Thai rolls are crisp and delicious, served with a clear sweet sauce. Their crab rangoons are good but are lacking in the filling, more of a wonton than a rangoon. The combo appetizer was delicious, not sure what was what but they were al yummy! Their Thai Lo Mein is great, all the veggies are so fresh and still have crunch to them which I like. My husband loves spicy food, and every Thai place we try they never make it spicy enough for him, and this place hit the nail on the head. He ordered the Gra Pao and after about 7 bites his mouth was burning, I didn't dare try it. All in all, we'll be keeping their menu and trying more meals. read more

Lynn deserves a place as good as Thai Cafe!!!! The tastes of Thai, right in Lynn... the pad thai is SO GOOD. Just the right consistency - not lumpy, not sticky. Just the right amount of slurp and good ratio of bean sprouts to noodles. The fried tofu aren't hard nuggets, but delicious soft/fried (paradoxical sensations that actually works!) nugs of heaven. The spicy bamboo dish is VERY GOOD. Pik kow sauce is spicy and sweet, a chili base that's perfectly seasoned. Oh, and the portions are HUGE. Lunch comes with a delicious spring roll and a surprisingly good crab rangoon (normally not on my radar and could be a turn off for those looking for "authentic" but it was certainly a treat and this place makes it very well!!!) Used to be my fave Thai spot but I recently ordered from there after being away for a while and I was so disappointed; they gave me a lunch portion of food at night (still charged full price) but worse than that, the tofu triangles were horrible... dried out, cold, and not edible. They're locate in Lynn and so am I. Their online site won't accept orders from Ward One (the best part) of Lynn. It's like a restaurant in Times Square that delivers to a war zone in the Bronx, but won't deliver to Midtown Manhattan. What's up with that??? I had to call them and explained a couple of times where we were located, and only then did they take our order. The good news - great Thai cuisine delivered right on time and exactly as ordered. My seafood special came extra spicy as requested. Pad Thai was delicious, but a little light on the chicken. Yellow Curry with Chicken was spot on. Don't pass up the Satay Chicken appetizer for around 5 bucks. It's a very small place so I recommend picking up the food! It's very cute inside with a modern twist! The woman on the phone was very patient with a customer as the customer literally questioned almost every main dish and what was in the sauces while I was waiting to pay for my food that was staring at my face over the counter! After 10-15mins the lady asked her to hold and apologized to me to let me finally pay for my food. Then proceeded to say I still need to make your coconut shake! So I waited another 10-15 while she wrapped up the call and made the smoothie! I waited 30mins because they didn't have a system down pat. There were more people in the kitchen who could have helped the girl out front or at least have the shake ready so she wouldn't have to do it all. I'm sure this was a fluke but they should have a better flow for instances like these if one person is stuck on the phone, have the the other person ring in the sale.
