Do not come here! My boyfriend ordered spicy noodle and it was brought to our table 40 minutes later. I ordered a pad woon sen. The waiter brought a rad nah dish to another couple's table. The rad nah dish was rejected and brought to me. She took the dish away after I told her I ordered pad woon sen. She came back with the dish saying it was pad woon sen and not rad nah. Rad nah is stir fried flat rice noodle and pad woon sen is stir fried glass noodle. I brought the rad nah to the waiter and the correct dish was never brought to me. We left as many other parties were dissatisfied with the service. The restaurant is understaffed. The waiter took a long time to come take our order. The food was amazing. Really delicious pad Thai. Why the bad rating? The service was over the top horrible. Wow, it left a lot to be desired. There did not seem to be enough staff working to cover how busy it was that night. We were sitting for about 20 minutes before the waitress even came to take our order. We tried to line up at the counter to order but were waved back to our table to wait another 10 minutes. The pad Thai came before the appetizers. The food was delivered as it was prepared rather than everyone receiving their meal at the same time. We did not even get one appetizer we ordered. We observed at least two parties leaving because no one ever came to take their order! We lined up to pay and in front of us were two people waiting for their takeout order--it took them about 20 minutes to get them sorted. I've been getting Thai food from here for at least a year now. I am pretty disappointed with how my order was done. I placed my order online and it took half an hour to make. And once I got home and opened up my curry, this is what I got. The container is only half full. $23 for a curry, an extra steamed rice (which I won't need now) and a tip. Won't be going back. We got takeout from Thai Cafe while glamping outside of Joshua Tree and it was a very meh experience. The ordering process was straightforward and the service was ok but the food was underwhelming. It wasn't bad but the noodles and curry were massively under seasoned. The curry was also super watery which I haven't seen before and the cream cheese wontons were eh. I'd say for this area this is pretty authentic Thai food. They are open for take outs only right now however if you want to eat at one of their tables they are okay it. Overall pretty good. We got spicy (3 out of 4 scale) but didn't find it that spicy so if you like spicy it get it hot! I got the eggplant with beef dish and it was pretty good. The beef didn't has much flavor but it was decent. The dish tasted authentic and flavorful. Comes with jasmine rice. We also order paw see yu which is our go to. It was pretty good. My sister, nephew and I came "home" to visit our mother. Wanted to check out this place. The food was great. Very flavorful. Portions were generous. Place was simple and cute inside. Our waitress was super sweet but just a little slow...never came to offer us a to go box or give us our check. Had to go ask for it. But I kinda think she was the only one working the dining room and to go orders too... place was kinda busy too since it was a Friday night and St. Patrick's Day. Parking in back of restaurant could use some better lighting...maybe a flood light mounted on building...when you exit back door it's pretty dark. Would go back though for the food though! Fun little Thai place in 29 Palms. I love finding little hole in the wall places and this one qualifies. Ordered some delicious pad Thai and some Tom Kha coconut milk soup. We were craving Thai food and everything in and around Yucca was closed this particular day (never fails). So we noticed this place was open and decided to place an order and drive the 20 minutes to pick it up. I'm not going to lie, it didn't look all that great visually, but the flavor was really good! I got my usual Kung Pao chicken and my husband got the garlic chicken with the pineapple fried rice. Needless to say, we actually picked up from them the next night because it was really good. The food actually was decent - once it finally came. These poor people, I have no idea what they're doing. I should have taken a hint from the guy ahead of me who was talking to the staff about how they had completely lost his order! He and his family has already been waiting an hour. We bussed the table ourselves before we sat down. Then we waited for someone to take our order but they never came so we went up to the counter to order. They don't have a bathroom! So, they sent me across the street to the Mexican restaurant to use the bathroom (!) When I came back we still didn't have water, so we drank from our water bottles for about 10 more minutes until I went to the counter and asked for water. The food eventually came out one dish at a time with about 10 minutes in between each one. The worst part was that the last dish to come was for my child who had had a long day, sitting patiently at the table for an hour and a half, and was starving. After we visited Joshua Tree National Park, we wanted something small before a 3 hour drive back to LA and decided to order only one dish shared for two so that we can have Korean BBQ later when we come back. We would like to give this restaurant a try. At first we were skeptical because no one was dinning in the restaurant when we opened the restaurant , but we were so glad that we stayed and enjoyed this tasty chicken pad Thai. It was really satisfying and flavorful with good amount of portion. To our surprise, one dish amount was perfect for two people because we would not finish it if ordering more.
