This place used to be great, but it's really gone downhill lately. The curry containers now come half full, which feels like a complete ripoff. If you're going to charge full price, you should be giving people a full portion -- not 50%. Prices have also gone up significantly, and not in a way that feels justifiable. I ordered not too long ago, and when I went to place the same order again, the price had jumped noticeably. It's even worse on delivery apps, where the markups are hard to ignore. The kitchen also seems disorganized and slow. I've even received dishes with undercooked veggies, which just adds to the frustration. To be fair, there is one employee who always goes above and beyond -- she once gave me a free drink because the wait was excessive, and she handled it with genuine kindness. She's a bright spot in an otherwise declining experience. The ambiance inside is basically non-existent, but that's expected given it's mostly a takeout concept. Still, for the prices and the quality, the value just isn't there anymore.

I tried to give this place a chance. But their food is very bland and the staff don't seem to know what they are doing. I had a few coupon and I wanted to use them. They initially said I can use them at once. But once i put the coupon in, they said they couldn't use more than one. And I'd prefer to use my other coupon instead if that was the case. But they said they couldn't remove it. The pad thai even with extra sauce is super bland. Unless for like giftcards or whatever, I won't come back. Not worth the money. The stickers were cool tho.

First Time Customer via Uber Eats First Impressions " It's Getting Hot In Here" - Nelly Warning- Mild may still be spicy Green Curry w/ Beef- Really good but a tad bit spicy even when you order mild. Carrots, Bamboo shoots and green bell pepper. Thai Iced Tea- Good. Packaging is so wonderful and it's like eating ramen. You can just eat out of the container. You can save leftovers and cook more rice. Rice portion okay. Out of all the Thai Food places in Phoenix, Zen Thai Cafe (Downtown Phoenix) and this place is the best Thai food. If you like it spicy, this place is that place. BOGO Pad Thai w/ fried tofu(not in the pictures) Will try it tomorrow.

Food is okay and the delivery was quick. However, I paid for extra veggies (.75$) each, and they were not included.

The food is always very good. Service is quick and friendly. The spice level does seem to vary each time I visit but I do not mind.

Not tasty at all and SUPER dry! I had to put so much soy sauce in it to give it flavor. I got the Pad Siew and couldn't even finish it.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before... If Lom Wong has no fans, I am dead. Lom…read moreWong is my favorite Thai food in all of America and can do me no wrong. I have dined here on four separate occasions and take all my dear loved ones here, every single time leaving feeling happy with a full, satisfied belly. Lom Wong is the first name that pops up in my head when recommending a favorite restaurant in the Valley. Lom Wong is what I will be naming my first-born child. My first visit was back in 2023 on June 10, the day my life changed for the better. They have a creative menu with seasonal changes that no other Thai restaurant can do. If you're looking for a pad thai, look somewhere else and please expand your horizons. I have tried almost every dish here and two things I will always order is their green mango salad and crab curry. I prefer mango over papaya, and it is the most perfect, refreshing salad I have ever had. The mango is always fresh, and the toasted coconut and peanuts on top pair so well with the lime and fish sauce. The stir-fried crab curry is extremely impressive with their generous portion of crab meat and fragrant turmeric curry. A few other dishes I highly recommend are their beef shank curry, seabass curry, and the stir-fried Tom Yum wide noodles. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes here! I will be coming back to try the fried whole branzino. We've tried arai kodai, which is their chef's choice option and they personalize the meal for you based on your preferences and group size. Every dish they brought out was unique and so so good. For $55 per person, we thought this was great value considering how full we got and the variety of dishes we were able to try (including some that were off-menu). I also love that they promote eating family-style here and bring out all the dishes as they're ready - exactly how food is meant to be enjoyed. The ambiance is amazing for a special occasion or date night. It will for sure impress. Come here if you want a solid, just incredible meal from amazing people who are passionate about their food! Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it gets packed.

I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

I expected the restaurant to be busy during lunch time, but I certainly did not expect how small it is. It felt crammed inside, but no big deal. Parking was also tricky. It's pretty limited, so I had to park a bit further away. In terms of food and service, Thai Basil did a great job. Our server was very patient while we figured out what to order. I went for the Chicken Pad Thai and stuck with water as my drink. I was pleasantly surprised when the food started coming out because I expected it to take longer. I'd say it took about 15 minutes, even during lunch rush. My Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. The serving size was good and it came with a spring roll on the side. The price isn't bad at all either. It was basically $16 after tax for my lunch. I'd definitely come here again on my own.

Parking was easy, but unfortunately the service was the worst part of the visit. I sat down to look at the menu and place a to-go order, only to be told to move to another seat. A simple order of pad thai and spring rolls took exactly 42 minutes. After several follow-ups, no one told me the food was ready until I walked up to the counter myself. Overall, a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend it with other Thai restaurant options nearby.
