Been coming to this Thai Chili to go for a couple of years now. Got the curry and it was served in a bowel that was considerably smaller than what I usually get, and it was also not full. Pretty disappointing.

This place used to be great, but it's really gone downhill lately. The curry containers now come half full, which feels like a complete ripoff. If you're going to charge full price, you should be giving people a full portion -- not 50%. Prices have also gone up significantly, and not in a way that feels justifiable. I ordered not too long ago, and when I went to place the same order again, the price had jumped noticeably. It's even worse on delivery apps, where the markups are hard to ignore. The kitchen also seems disorganized and slow. I've even received dishes with undercooked veggies, which just adds to the frustration. To be fair, there is one employee who always goes above and beyond -- she once gave me a free drink because the wait was excessive, and she handled it with genuine kindness. She's a bright spot in an otherwise declining experience. The ambiance inside is basically non-existent, but that's expected given it's mostly a takeout concept. Still, for the prices and the quality, the value just isn't there anymore.

First Time Customer via Uber Eats First Impressions " It's Getting Hot In Here" - Nelly Warning- Mild may still be spicy Green Curry w/ Beef- Really good but a tad bit spicy even when you order mild. Carrots, Bamboo shoots and green bell pepper. Thai Iced Tea- Good. Packaging is so wonderful and it's like eating ramen. You can just eat out of the container. You can save leftovers and cook more rice. Rice portion okay. Out of all the Thai Food places in Phoenix, Zen Thai Cafe (Downtown Phoenix) and this place is the best Thai food. If you like it spicy, this place is that place. BOGO Pad Thai w/ fried tofu(not in the pictures) Will try it tomorrow.

I tried to give this place a chance. But their food is very bland and the staff don't seem to know what they are doing. I had a few coupon and I wanted to use them. They initially said I can use them at once. But once i put the coupon in, they said they couldn't use more than one. And I'd prefer to use my other coupon instead if that was the case. But they said they couldn't remove it. The pad thai even with extra sauce is super bland. Unless for like giftcards or whatever, I won't come back. Not worth the money. The stickers were cool tho.

There were over 10 varieties to choose from, and after a brief existential crisis, I settled on the two sausages with sauerkraut. They were so good I immediately regretted not ordering a few more links. That's the missing link in my decision-making process. Then came the potato and cheddar pierogies. Naturally, I smothered them in bacon, sautéed onions, and sour cream because moderation is for people eating salads. Each bite tasted like a warm hug from someone's Ukrainian (grandma) who also wanted to make sure you never skipped a meal again. Just when I thought my arteries had filed for divorce, dessert arrived: a cottage cheese crepe with berry sauce that was somehow light, rich, sweet, and ridiculously good all at once. This isn't a place that wastes time trying to impress you with Edison bulbs, reclaimed wood, or a menu that describes water as "locally sourced." They let the food do the talking, and the food basically says, "Sit down, you're too skinny."

We continue to be impressed by both the quality and creativity of their food. On this visit, I ordered The Pilgrim, which is essentially Thanksgiving dinner wrapped inside a pasty. It features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy. It arrived absolutely piping hot--seriously, give it a few minutes before taking that first bite--but once it cooled down, it was phenomenal. The combination of flavors was comforting and satisfying, and a little cranberry sauce with each bite provided the perfect balance. My only minor critique would be that the ingredients could have been distributed a bit more evenly throughout the pasty. I also found the gravy slightly more peppery than expected, occasionally overshadowing the stuffing, sweet potatoes, and turkey. Even so, this has become my favorite pasty at Cornish Pasty Co. We also tried the Peppered Steak pasty, which features sirloin, portobello mushrooms, leeks, zucchini, Stilton bleu cheese, and a peppercorn brandy cream sauce. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, especially the steak and the wonderfully flaky crust. For my personal taste, the peppercorn brandy cream sauce was a little more prominent than I prefer, and I found myself wanting more of the steak, mushroom, and Stilton flavors to come through. That's simply a matter of preference, though--it was still a well-executed dish made with quality ingredients. One thing Cornish Pasty Co. consistently gets right is the crust. Every pasty we've had has been flaky, flavorful, and substantial without feeling heavy. This wasn't our first experience with their menu. Over the years we've thoroughly enjoyed the Tikka Masala, the Lamb & Mint (which was a genuine "wow" dish), and the Royale. Those are all excellent choices, but after this visit, The Pilgrim has moved to the top of my personal rankings. Our two pasties came in under $20 each, making for a filling and satisfying meal at a reasonable price. We ordered takeout, and while there was a bit of a wait after we arrived, it's worth noting that these are made-to-order pasties, not fast food. Even though we only ordered a few minutes before arriving, the quality was well worth the extra time. My biggest criticism has nothing to do with the food. While waiting, my wife and I sat inside briefly, and we found the music extremely loud. During our visit, the restaurant was playing Silth, a progressive metalcore band. Musical tastes are obviously subjective, but the combination of the style and volume made conversation difficult for us. My wife eventually decided to wait in the car because it was simply too loud. The restaurant clearly aims for a lively pub atmosphere, with games available and a diverse mix of patrons enjoying themselves, so many people may appreciate that environment. It just wasn't a great fit for us. That said, the food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and we'll absolutely be back. We'll probably continue ordering takeout, but that's a reflection of our personal preferences rather than any issue with the restaurant itself. If you're looking for creative, well-made pasties with high-quality ingredients, Cornish Pasty Co. is definitely worth a visit.

No, the fans haven't worked for a long time per our server. So apparently when you go in on Sundays, you're eating what's left from Saturday. Unlike a bakery, there's no discount on day old. And many of my friend group were not able to get their first choice. I got the banger and mash pasty, it was decent. The scotch egg and Eton Mess was good. But not worth the price, definitely considering how uncomfortable it was. You only get 1 chance to make a good first impression. This was my first and last time at Cornish Pasty.

After waiting 30 minutes for my spring rolls (in an almost empty restaurant), they arrived with no peanut sauce and zero apology from the staff. By this point I was flushed, short of breath, and feeling faint from the heat and poor air circulation. I politely let the male server know I was overheating and felt like I might faint. His response? He told me the AC was on and to "drink more water" -- in a rude, dismissive tone -- then walked away to greet a new customer. I packed up my spring rolls to go and paid without a word. He didn't seem surprised. It felt like this was a pattern he was used to. After leaving I checked other reviews -- long wait times, poor atmosphere, and rude staff are recurring themes.
