    Chicken drunken noodles medium spicy
    Wendy G.

I ordered the chicken drunken noodles and was very pleased. I've had many drunken noodle dishes over the years, and this is by far the best one I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of flavorful sauce, and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. The vegetables were cooked beautifully--tender yet still maintaining a satisfying crunch--and there were generous portions of a nice variety of different veggies along with plenty of chicken. Many restaurants tend to skimp on the vegetables, but that was definitely not the case here. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking, and I'll absolutely be back to try more dishes!

We've been here several times and the food continues to be of the same great quality. We've pretty much gone down the menu and each item we've tried is just great.

I have nothing but great things to say about Thai chili phos food. Their food tastes fresh, and it's flavorful and best of all it's consistent. Prior to being a yelperhelper I frequented this restaurant and have never had a bad meal. Our food usually comes out quick and hot. Their service is the only thing I could say could be improved. We usually have to flag down the waitress if we need something, she doesn't actively come over on her own volition. We enjoy the restaurant, however we don't go on weekends because it can get noisy. There's no sound buffing whatsoever.

Authentic Asian food. Cooked the same way every time! Best restaurant in Putnam, by far!! Great service. So clean. Great atmosphere.

Always great food and service. Can get a little loud during peak times. Pad Thai and a Pho bowl are my favorites, their bowls are huge. Medium is more than enough for me at anytime.

What a cute and friendly place. We were immediately greeted and sat upon arrival. Very attentive! I got the P2, beef pho and my friend got the pad Thai. I was impressed with both but the crab Rangoon's are top tier it made my top three places for rangoons and I've had many! Loved the different types of bubble teas and super tasty. Great job! It was super quiet inside as it was a weekend late lunch. Great place for a good bite!

I come into town a few times each year to visit family, and am always on the lookout for good places to get food. I haven't been able to find a place for great pho - until now. We had some crispy (spring) rolls and the combination pho (#P1 on the menu). The pho had a great broth, noodles were the right amount of al dente, good variety on the meats, and it came with the traditional Thai basil, bean sprouts, and citrus (+jalapeño on demand). Definitely a favorite in the area and will be added to our regular pit stops.

Whale Tea at UConn is a specialty boba tea shop on or near campus that has developed a steady…read morefollowing among both students and people in the surrounding area who make it a regular stop. I found the space clean and the interior with enough character to make it a comfortable place to sit for a bit rather than just a grab and go counter. The brown sugar boba is the signature item. I tried it and the tapioca pearls were chewy in the way that good boba should be, with enough body that they held up through the drink rather than dissolving into something gummy by the midpoint. The brown sugar flavor came through clearly without being cloying. The broader menu covers fruit teas, milk teas, and slushes with a range wide enough that most preferences are accommodated, and customization options for ice level and sweetness allowed me to dial in the drink to my preference. The ability to order without boba if that is not your thing is worth knowing if you are new to the format. Service was friendly and the staff were welcoming in a way that made the shop feel approachable for a first time visitor. Order accuracy has occasionally been an issue, and online orders do not always get flagged as ready in the app when they are, so checking in at the counter if I have been waiting longer than expected is worth doing. Pricing runs over ten dollars per drink, which adds up quickly for a group, and the shop is closed on Wednesdays, a detail worth confirming before making a specific trip. For boba in the Storrs area, Whale Tea sits at the better end of what is available locally.

This is the Whale Tea that created the boba addict in me. When I heard they added egg puffs to…read moretheir menu, I had to come back. I got my usual oreo milk tea with 30 percent sugar and jelly boba, and it was the perfect treat, as always. I got the matcha egg puffs, and they looked so cute with their little smiley faces! The flavor and texture of the egg puffs was also delicious and standard, but I was disappointed because I was expecting an oozy matcha filling in the center, and, as you can see in the photo I posted, there is barely any filling at all. The matcha flavor was very weak, and I was basically just eating a plain egg puff. It was still good, but I hope their other flavors have better filling or it was just an off batch.
