The highlight was the Thai rolls- plenty of chicken and super crispy with a delicious sweet chili sauce that paired perfectly. I usually order drunken noodles with beef at most Thai places, but this was unfortunately not the best I've had. I ordered normally and it was almost inedibly spicy. The beef was also dry and underseasoned. The rest of my party ordered the red and green curry dishes which they enjoyed. Would go back and try something else next time! read more

Rarely do I post reviews but the food here was exceptional. Low prices compared to other places and the portions are pretty big. The chicken fingers were gigantic and the box for $8 definitely held its value. Best place I've been to in a long time. Very unassuming spot, but it certainly HIT the spot! I ordered pickup from GrubHub and was so hungry that I decided to eat at the restaurant. It's a pretty casual place and there wasn't anyone there, so no one seemed to mind. Even though I wasn't technically dining in (in the traditional sense of being served, since my food was already in takeout containers), the staff was very kind and helpful. As a Lao person, I can confirm that this place is authentic! I know the food is really good when it tastes like mom's cooking. I was worried that this area with not much diversity was going to have good food and but I DoorDash this little place it was the highlight of my travels! I got the Pad Krapow which was so flavorful and again, tasted like home. And then the dessert, oh my god, the mango sticky rice was perfection and just amazingly warm, tender, and creamy! Wonderful food, wonderful owner. During my first visit here it was about 8:30pm for arrival, a half hour before close. Our order was completed quickly and we ordered about $70 worth of Thai. 2 orders of Wontons, fried was eaten more quickly than the steamed. Delicious. Egg rolls are some of the best I'd ever had. I could eat a plate of these alone! I requested drunken noodles and couldn't find it on the menu. Gentlemen obliged and said he could make it. The flavor was not the traditional as I am used to but the veggies were delicious. Sweeter than expected, not spicy but was tasty. Veggies were cooked perfect. Noodles were a bit over cooked and mushy. The chicken satay was the most affordable I've ever had. Comes with 7 sticks in a bag. We ordered 4 chicken and one Beef Satay. Beef was gone quicker than I had expected. Tom Kha Kai Soup was good, I didn't get. Chance to have more than a few bites as I filled up on other things but the broth was flavorful with lemongrass and coconut milk. Husband and I did not eat the yum nuea salad. The fish flavor was too powerful for us but my brother in law gobbled it right up. Side note: while there an intoxicated man came in and tried to order but didn't quite have enough to order what he wanted and the owner (I'm guessing it was the owner, and he seemed familiar with the man) told him to sit and went into the kitchen. The owner came back and provided him with food and a water bottle from their fridge in the dining area. He let him know he didn't have the total to cover everything but he still had an order for him and sent him on his way. Excellent Small Town Restaurant October 2024 This is a very nice restaurant. Food was reasonably priced and of great quality. I had the best Red curry tofu of my life and my wife enjoyed her stir fry tofu dish. Parking right outside the door in a lot. Restaurant was not new but was clean and comfortable. Decided to visit Thai Orchid because it was nearby a hotel we were staying. The food was absolutely delicious. Prices are incredible. Had the Chicken Pad Thai and my wife had a Beef soup dish. Thai restaurants we've been to typically give bigger portions so was a bit surprised at Thai Orchid's small portions. Wish their portions were much bigger. We definitely recommend but if I ever return, I'll probably would ask for a bigger portion that I would easily pay for. Clean place, open space and friendly worker at the front desk. read more

Really good food at Thai Orchid! The chicken dumpling appetizer has a nice spicy zip to it. You order at the counter then sit. Food is brought to you. We were sitting by the window. The blinds were really dirty and gross, which affected our experience but the food tasted good. I'd definitely go back hit would get takeout or not sit near the window. read more

Dinner at Thai Orchid was like taking a trip through memory lane when I was visiting Thailand. The flavors were as authentic as you can get state side. My kids enjoyed the pad-thai because the noodles were cooked perfectly and not soggy. My wife enjoyed the chicken curry, it was just enough spicy for her. Quaint little Thai restaurant on one of the side streets in Southbridge, MA which turned out be very good in my opinion. I would characterize this hideaway as a straight forward minimalist no frills Thai restaurant that does a pretty darn good job delivering very tasty Thai food. I ordered Thai Wonton Soup which had a subtle clear broth chock full of vegetables and very good wontons, the papaya salad while not having the accustomed crushed peanuts was spicy and one of the best imo. The Country Vegetarian Tofu Noodle dish was a surprise the sauce was excellent quite unlike anything I have had in previous Thai places. This place is definitely one dollar sign, not two! We got a couple appetizers, Tom Kha Kai, broccoli beef, and pad Thai. The appetizers were good, I forget what one of them was but the other was the Thai Rolls. Both were very tasty and we really liked them! Fried well and the ingredients were tasty as was the sweet and sour sauce. The Tom Kha was soooo good! Not a thick and creamy as what I'm used to but I think that was a good thing. It wasn't as heavy but still had that wonderful coconut flavor. The pad Thai was very good and I'm glad we ordered it! The broccoli beef was kind of lacking but that's ok, everything else was very good and we were very happy with it. The service was great! Our waiter was attentive to filling the waters and our food came out very quickly. This place is also BYOB so it's a great stop for lunch after visiting Tree House Brewing! As far as atmosphere, the building and neighborhood aren't fab but that's ok. Inside was nice and clean. The decor was typical of a Thai restaurant. Honestly, what pulls this from a 4 to a 5 for me is how cheap everything was. We ordered a ton of stuff and were out the door with tip at $35. Came here while at a conference down the road and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I came during lunch hours, so got lunch prices, which was nice. I order a Thai tea and the Vegetable Curry for lunch. The Thai tea was definitely one of the best I've had, though it's often difficult to mess up this drink. The Vegetable Curry was also very delicious, I especially liked the sticky rice and the cute little wicker basket it came inside. I also really liked that pineapple came with this dish it really added something special to the dish. The Curry wasn't the most amazing one I've ever had, but it was very tasty for the price.
