She told me the avocado shake was really good. At first, I was skeptic because it was a bit weird for an avocado to be used as a shake but I was also curious. I got it and ended up loving it! So now whenever I go I always get it. It isn't too overpowering of avocado and has a nice sweet taste to it. I think they mix condensed milk into it. I have been here a few times now seeing as I go to school in the area and everytime I have gotten their boba tea with the regular tapioca pearls I have ended up with a minor case of food poisoning. The last time I was there, the individual who made my drink made it and there were black specs floating all throughout the drink so I asked if he could remake it and he said he could strain it. I ordered milk tea with boba pearls, red bean and grass jelly. It was a little bit sweet but tasted great in overall. Bobs and red been were well cooked. When I ordered a Taro Milk Tea you know I expected that purple color that taro milk tea usually is with that distinctive flavor. I had asked for less sugar and honestly the outcome was a really watered down green tea. I used to come here when I was in Highschool when it first opened. It was a nice environment but man things have changed, and not for the better. I was walking by the employees room to use the restroom and you can see how dirty and discolored the floor was. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days. I went to Yoway today for bubble tea. I usually go to Pho sure in Shrewsbury, which is consistently very good, and wanted to compare this place to them. Was very disappointed in the mango milk tea. There was too much syrup, which made it taste too sweet and it also had a hair in it! My friend's drink also had too much syrup in it as well, making the drink unenjoyable. *This review is SPECIFICALLY in regards to their recent reopening during the virus, I have been to Yoway multiple times before and had mostly positive experiences* I am so so disappointed in Yoway and how they handled their reopening during the virus. Again, I understand they're a small business, but Holy Poke, another Worcester small business who also sells bubble tea, has handled their reopening MUCH better; it is possible and why I am the comparing the two and why I am so disappointed. A couple days ago, my boyfriend and I called ahead for an order of 4 teas to ensure safety not only for us, but the staff. After all, it's extremely unsafe to linger in the store waiting for 4 orders and of course, stressful for the staff to make a large order on short notice. However, when we came to pick up we were appalled by 1) There was NO social distancing happening in the store. In fact, there were plenty of customers waiting around or just walked in to order. There was not even tape to indicate standing apart, it was very crowded and even many people hanging out near the front of the store too. 2) Despite calling ahead, they got our order all wrong when we picked up. When they ended up remaking it, it was still all wrong, but at this point we just left because we felt very unsafe waiting for about 20 mins in a crowded area. Yoway needs to implement more STRICT and CLEAR rules for the store during the virus. Holy Poke makes it very clear on the front of the store and door that customers MUST wear a mask to enter; while people were wearing masks when I was at Yoway, it was not said anywhere they must, leaving room for people to not have to. Additionally, Holy Poke states only 3 people can be in the store at a time, preventing people from crowding and spreading germs. Yoway should implement similar rules or make people wait in line 6ft apart to enter, maybe having an employee in charge of the door. Additionally, they make a rule for people to call ahead to order especially for orders for more than 2 ppl then do curbside pickup. What was apalling to me was while I was waiting for my remade drinks, a lady walked in and ordered about 8 drinks for her whole family and they all waited in the store, again this is very unsafe. I am very sure due to this large order, it caused my remade order to be wrong. Again, I understand Yoway is a small business and they could be very understaffed right now. However, I feel too unsafe to go back unless they change their policies and will be going to Holy Poke instead. read more

Yoway is my favorite place to get boba when I want to but unfortunately, it has become a place where I am reconsidering whether to go back or not. I seem to always have a problem with this place. I personally do not know if I am coming at the wrong time or this place does not have the ingredients they need or maybe the employees are not asking the proper questions. My main favorite drink is the original Brown Sugar Milk Tea with tapioca pearls in it. I specifically order these drinks for the boba. It's been twice that I ordered these types of drinks and when I got the drinks, neither of them had tapioca/boba in it. So I decided to change it up and try something new. I ordered their Lychee Madness before and man o man is that HELLA DELICIOUS!! I've ordered through Grubhub and the drink comes with Lychee Popping Boba and some Lychee Jelly (I customized it to have that). It became my favorite drink ever since. Sadly, today I was disappointed again and Yoway has let me down. I ordered the Lychee Madness and there was no kind of toppings in my bev, just a plain drink. I like to believe that people are attracted to these drinks because of the toppings that it brings such as tapioca pearls, popping boba pearls, jelly, etc. As a suggestion, I would say that employees should start asking customers questions regarding toppings, I like to say that it's my fault for not asking but also the employees should let their customers know if certain beverages come with toppings or if they would like toppings in their drinks. I truly believe that customer service should be a main priority for the customers and this place does not show it at all. They will sell you the drinks as the way you order them and I do not like that because if a new customer walks in and order's a drink with the expectation that the beverage has boba or a certain type of topping, and receives one without it, they might just reconsider whether to come back or not. Employees need to stop assuming that the way that certain customers order their drinks is what they want, please ask your customers all the right questions so their drinks won't be a disappointment. For Example: If a customer orders a Date Night drink, please have the courtesy to ask the customer if they'd like any certain toppings in their beverage. Don't assume that the customer just wants the drink simple. It's better to ask all the right questions than to get complaints. On the other side, I'll make sure to speak up on my behalf for future orders. read more

I truly have to say that this is one of the worst milk tea places I've ever been to.
