We absolutely LOVE Thai Corner in Lake Forest. My husband and I order "to go" every time. We have tried so many different items, usually whatever the lady in the front recommends and we have loved it all. We have tried half of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. Even our 5 year old loves it. Portions are huge, so if we have company, we just order a few items and everyone gets to share. Have never had any complaints from anyone we offer TC food to. The taste of food was off; either too sweet or gritty. The phadThai was not flavorful and dry. Tom yum goong soup was sweet - the broth did not have a hint of sour flavor. I've been looking for my neighborhood thai place and I think I've found it! 5-star service. I came in late to eat but they were still kind and gracious. They said "order in the next 5 minutes so we can cook for you but take your time enjoying it!" I ordered the chicken green curry, based on other reviews. Never had green curry before but it is delicious! The chicken was fresh and tender. I started with the papaya salad-yum! Very refreshing, slightly tangy and spicy. It comes with cashews too, so it seems like you're eating a hearty salad. Pad thai was great. I almost always have to order this any Thai place I visit. The best part of my visit was being checked up on by the owner who's an adorable little lady who was insistent that if anything wasn't up to par, shed make us whatever we wanted! I let her know her restaurant has high reviews and that I live around the corner. She was very grateful :). I will def be back to try more noms! read more

Excellent flavors. We have ordered take-out multiple times and it is consistently hot, fresh, and quick. Have tried Beef Thai Rice, Chicken Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Chicken Chow Mein. All were very tasty. They use chicken breast, which I like, but it may be dry for others. My only criticism is that I have had better Chicken Pad Thai at Noodle Planet in the San Gabriel Valley which comes with pressed tofu, 3 good sized shrimp, cut lime pieces, and crushed peanuts on the side. At Thai Corner the shrimp costs an extra fee and there is no dried tofu, lime, or peanuts. It has authentic flavor but it would be 5 stars if it came with the extras. read more

My go to thai restaurant in Mission Viejo. I always order the same items; chicken pad thai, tom yum soup with coconut, green curry, pad see eww, and Thai tea. The portions are decent for dine in but they seem really small for takeout. I try to dine in so I can get more food since I like to eat my leftovers for lunch. I have never eaten in the restaurant before, but I will get this food for carryout at least once or twice a month. I have found this food to be the best Thai food in the Lake Forest area. I also like Diho Siam, but find the quality of Thai Corner to be a step up. I highly recommend any of the curry or noodle dishes. read more

The food is good, but the service is bad when you go with kids. I went in today with my two toddlers. I asked for the highchair to be put next to me, but the server was reluctant to do it and said there was no space when all she needed to do was to remove the chair. While we were eating, the owner came to our table and told my son to be careful with the bowl because it costs $10. She said, "if you break it, it's $10. Do you want to use a plate?" I found it totally rude. So I told her that he's almost done, no need to get a plate. Taste and quality of food gets five stars. Service gets one star. I took the average. I'm here right now with my mom and two toddlers. I get that I came during lunch rush, so perhaps I had it coming, but jeez people, a little courtesy goes a long way! Place was full when we walked in, so they asked us to order to go instead of waiting for a table to clear (uhhh, there were two guys leaving right in front of us). We respectfully declined and waited for the table. They told us to go wait outside while they cleaned it up. Fine. A few minutes later, we find our seats, and I help myself to getting high chairs for my kids, because obviously, customer service is not a priority here. Five minutes pass, I grab my own menus and flag a chick down to come take out order. At this point, I'm ready to bail, but my kids are hungry and I'm not going to pack them up in their car seats and drive somewhere else. After ordering, we had to ask for our Thai teas after they forgot, and upon seeing all the other tables receive their starter soups, I asked for that as well. It didn't come until after we got our meal and a second reminder. Crying tiger was so delicious and pad see ewe is my favorite noodle dish there. Overall, I will NEVER come to eat here again, and I may have to strongly reconsider ever ordering takeout as well. read more

This is a solid 4 star restaurant. Ate there for the first time on a Tues. evening in Jan., 2018. Simple but pleasant ambiance, typically varied and wide set of offering. Server was very pleasant, and our food was delivered to our table fairly quickly, although there were few other patrons at the time. A couple of people came and went with take-out. We had the mixed vegetables with chicken and the red curry also with chicken. We were both very pleased, and I thought the red curry particularly tasty, a bit sweeter than usual. So far I've only been here during dinner. They have a great dinner special which includes your choice (based off of a list) of drink, soup, small dish, and entree. I always go for the Thai tea, wonton soup, spring rolls, and pad thai. I love their wonton soup so much, it's become a must have for when i'm feeling under the weather. Customer service is great. Restaurant is clean. It's my go to Thai place. My only advice is make sure to request how spicy you want your food. Sometimes they don't ask or if you don't tell them how spicy you like it (1-10) the dish will come out with barely any spice. read more

I like this place. I have had entrees of pad thai & the chicken curry, and they are all very good and you get a good amount, and my guy agrees. The egg rolls and pot stickers are also yummy. I was not a fan of the rad nah, but that isn't necessarily that it bad, it just wasn't the kind of taste/food I like. The rice is good and sticky. Easy to get to-go / everything comes in nice containers (only the rad nah leaked on small us, so that was just not something we had fun with, haha). They have a decent size menu, so there's lots to try and I plan to eventually branch out and try something else besides 'my usuals.' I come here a couple times a month for a Thai-food fix... good food at a good price. read more

I usually order the chicken Pad Thai, spicy. You can choose your own level of spiciness if you're not into spicy food. The lunch entrees come with a small soup and a complimentary Thai Tea or coffee. Pleasantly surprised! We are super picky with Thai food and this place hits the spot. Not overly sweet like most Thai places in the US. Tom yum soup was very good! Hard to find a place that makes it right. Could have used a little more lemon but still better than most. All of the dishes had so much meat and veggies, unlike other places where they load the plate with the cheaper ingredients. Owner cooks everything herself and she is so sweet! This review is for the unethical request and behavior from the thai waitress with short blond hair. At the restaurant there is a sign stating: "Free Thai Ice Tea, if check in and write a review. " I checked in but didn't write the review yet because I have not tried the food yet. The waitress informed me that I must give a five stars to get my drink. I told her it is unethical expecially I have not tried the food yet.. She smile sweetly and told me that next time I might get my drink. I got no free drink because no 5 stars. After the incident, I requested for a refill for the rice from the same waitress. I threw up immediately after eating 1 spoon of that white rice.
