Let me begin by saying that Cravings has been my favorite Thai spot since moving to NE Ohio in 2018. The Massaman Curry and Pad Kee Mao were my go to food when I didnt want to cook. I am a big fan of spicy so I would order these dishes hot ( not thai hot) but mind you I enjoy a good spice level. That being said the last few times i've ordered from Cravings the spice level has been out of control Thai hot. On my last two orders I even went as far as to say "no heat" and figured I'd play it safe and add my own spice to the meal as several members of my dinner party had varying spice tolerance. All of my items came out Thai hot. My guests could not eat their dishes and I even I struggled. I'm not sure if the first time the desired spice level was lost in translation given it was take out but the last time I was perfectly clear that we did not wish to have any spice. I'm not sure if they have a new kitchen staff but Beware if you dont like super spicy foods. I'll give Cravings a final chance when they open the dining hall but sadly I will no longer order take out as its such a bummer when half the food is too spicy for most ot eat. read more

Hands down, the BEST Thai Food around! Tibby is a gem, always smiling, making sure everyone is having a good time. I think I have tried just about every vegetarian meal on the menu, and I have never been disappointed! My faves are green curry with tofu, the Papaya salad (in the summer) and if you are craving Pad Thai (because, let's face it, who doesn't love Pad Thai) it is so good you will never order it anywhere else. I've been to Cravings for coffee, but it wasn't so special that I'd keep going there for the coffee. Now that they've added Thai cuisine, I'll most definitely be returning. At first, when I saw the sign featuring Thai food, I was skeptical. As I was walking by one day, on a walk to another nearby local restaurant, I stopped in for a menu and a look around. The inside was cozy and very inviting and the menu options sounded delicious. I decided to stay for dinner, but preferred to eat on the patio since it was a beautiful evening. The patio needs a complete clean up. Clean the weeds between the pavers and remove the cigarette butts off of the ground!!! That's just gross! Add some nice tablecloths and it'll be more enjoyable. The food is absolutely fabulous though! I'd recommend carry out or eating inside the nice cozy quarters. Glad to see this addition to the area. read more

Poor service and always cold inside, but atmosphere is cute and food is pretty good. There were only 2 other customers besides my mother and I and we had to wait 5 minutes for the check and some boxes because the two people working there (10 feet away) were too busy chatting with one of their regulars to notice us. I eventually stared down the waiter to come over. I have been in there several other times, though not for food and it is always frigid. My mom was already wearing corduroys and a sweatshirt but had to go back for a jacket. The atmosphere is cute and the food was pretty good but I was really disappointed with the service for how not busy it was at lunch time. read more

The best Thai food I have had in the Cleveland area. However, ventilation in the restaurant is abysmal. When I got home, my coat, shirt, and pants reeked of Thai spices. I suggest wearing old clothes or getting take-out! read more

After spending countless nights watching all of Gordon Ramsay's night-time culinary television, I was very curious to see how a coffee, tea and Thai restaurant would exist together. The outside looks like a renovated Taco Bell with the drive thru window still in service. I walked inside to find a quiet, cozy, friendly atmosphere in need of a bit of love and attention. I was quickly greeted and seated with some vegetable spring rolls ordered as an appetizer. Our entrees were so wonderfully fresh, spicy and delicious I was sweating with excitement and actual perspiration! I am making it a mission to try everything on the menu. Heat level five was a bit too hot for me. I will try four next time. Plus, if I decide to order carryout, I can pick up and pay without ever leaving the car! Will be back on Saturday. read more

I will not ever return to this overpriced restaurant. The chicken pad thai had five small pieces of chix and the rest of the dish consisted of dried out rice noodles. This meal was priced at $15.95 The other meal was chicken fried rice with veggies. There very four small broccoli florets a few chopped cubes of carrots, three slices of cucumbers and the chicken was difficult to detect or even taste in all the rice. This meal was priced at $16.95. I would never recommend this overpriced undervalued meal to anyone. You will leave the restaurant full on carbohydrates and little to no protein or veggies. read more

I love this place. Although it' not the same as it was in the old location of the greenhouse, the coffee is still amazing and so is the food. I used to hang out here and write all the time, until I moved from Cleveland. Now when my daughter and I are in town, we ALWAYS (I don't care if we're down in University Circle) come here for a cafe mocha..... the BEST with Mexican chocolate! read more

I was at work and didn't bring my lunch so a co worker and I decided to get take out from a great place (or so we thought). I got the spicy mama soup and fried spring rolls. The soup was ALL noodles which looked just like ramen noddle's, and 2 little pieces of chicken. The spring rolls were so greasy when you bit into it the grease ran down my face. I called the restaurant to let them know how bad the food was and I was told " We sorry but everybody else loves our food." I then asked to talk to a manager and she then said " No we do not!" I would never ever go back to this place and I will discourage anyone I know to not waste their time. read more

My teenage son and two friends arrived at for lunch today during a lunch break from finals at school. They were the only customers in the restaurant, so they sat at a table and waited to be approached. Although one employee was nearby wiping down tables, he and his friends were completely ignored. Another party arrived at the restaurant and were promptly greeted by the employee and asked if they were eating lunch. The employee brought water to that table and continued to ignore my son and his friends. After 10 minutes of being completely ignored, they left and went to another Thai restaurant. The ownership really needs to improve their employee training. These kids have just as much rights as anyone to be served. Not only did Cravings lose their business, but I'm sure the business of all three families! Disappointing! read more

The staff is awesome and extremely willing to please! I went there with my girlfriend a week ago and had the pineapple fried rice and she had the Pad See Ew. They both were delicious and the portions were huge! Also, they were willing to adjust the spice level to your liking and both dishes were prepared with the requested spice perfectly. First experience was alright. No one greeted me when I first came in or inducted me to take a seat or help me order. I finally inquired about food and they said don't serve food until 4pm yet had a lunch menu and close at 6 per online. They did allow me to eat but not before reminding me that I would be the only one eating (clearly not an issue for me). The bubble teas was very Icey and came out after my food. The food here is amazing! It is artfully crafted and presented. The prices are higher than expected, but it is well worth it for the amazing food. You definitely need to tone down the spices when you eat here, though, as the spice levels go from "tasty" to "fantastically and painfully hot!" very quickly. We especially love the summer rolls, the satay and the Boba tea! Definitely worth a trip. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to try out a new coffee place, so we found Cravings on Yelp and decided to try it out. Important note: We were in sweatpants- total Sunday Morning Comfort Mode. The place itself is really nice- very clean, nice music playing, etc. We both wanted coffee and food, but when we asked, the girl behind the counter said they only serve food on weekdays after 4pm (this was a Sunday morning). Disappointed, until I saw a shelf of delicious-looking pastries. I have food allergies, so I inquired about the ingredients. When I asked about the ingredients of the baked goods, the girl behind the counter couldn't tell me anything about them. All she could say was "we get them from a bakery, so I don't really know". To me, this is no excuse. When you get items from a bakery, you should get an ingredient list. Why would you ever sell food to people if you can't even tell them what it's made out of? I decided not to get a pastry, because I didn't want to put my hands in the life of "I don't know" girl. My boyfriend got a muffin, and we each got a beverage- our total was $11. Not insane, but not affordable either for a "not bad" muffin and two beverages (missing the caramel flavoring that I'm sure we paid extra for). We sat down and I was actually starting to enjoy myself, and a second employee meandered into the building and started chatting with the girl who had helped us. Not bad, but their phones kept going off, which is annoying in a quiet cafe. We were the only customers up until this point. Then, a Porsche pulled into the parking lot, and four people walked in, dressed to impress. They went up to the counter, asking about food- and the girls listed off the omelettes and different types of vegetables available! Seriously? We stared incredulously as these people ordered cheese omelettes, while we sipped our expensive, caramel-less drinks. read more

While I am still a fan of Cravings, I did have a recent experience there that was less than satisfactory....in the "Ambiance" department. It has always been such a great dining experience but when my husband and I were there this past Friday for a late dinner the radio was on and it was mostly static.I don't recall the music I normally hear while dining there but I would definitely remember if it was A) a radio station (commercials) and B) Static-y! So I mentioned it to the two young girls who were working. We were the only ones there and the girls were both behind the bar so that is where we sat. I didn't recognize the girls...and I can't recall the names of the staff who I normally see (and have always thoroughly enjoyed). So they tried to fix the station, apparently had no way to play Pandora and it didn't improve. The other thing that prompted me to write this review is the way the girls were behaving: giddy, silly, super chatty w/ each other as though my husband and I weren't there. I don't require attention but I really wanted to somehow let these girls know they should tone it down. I realize we were the only ones they were due to close in a half hour. As usual, Chef Tibby's food was outstanding (shrimp skewer appetizer, tofu appetizer & coconut curry w/ calamari level 3- super yum) I hope next time it is as serene as it usually is!! read more
