EXCELLENT food, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating service at a reasonable price. We were fortunate to have " discovered " Thai Curry about 15 years ago and have been very loyal and frequent guests. Many of our friends joined us there for dinner and never regretted it. The food is better than all other Thai restaurants we have tried. We wished, however, that the TV would not be set on news programs. A few of our friends mentioned that they would rather not watch and hear about disturbing events when they are enjoying the delicious food and a pleasant conversation. We agree. This was my first visit to this family owned place which was nicely decorated and the food and service were wonderful. We started with their delicious Thai soups and had the Pad Thai which others reviewed about and it lived up to my expectations. My husband had the Green Shrimp Curry which had lots of shrimp and was perfectly spiced. They have a great inexpensive Early Bird special which we are looking forward to going back for. This is a pretty good Thai restaurant. It wasn't the greatest but it will do perfectly in a pinch. I had the Panang Curry Chicken - wasn't very spicy but tasty. The Peanut and Ginger salad were great. The food was served super fast!! read more

Hubbie and I ate their yesterday and the food was very tasty. Once we walked in we didn't expect the place to be small, but we thought this as a good change from where we normally go. Family and I have been coming here for years. The waiter recognizes us and knows what we usually order. Unless we want something different. For my b-day they gave free dessert. My mom who is 98, has been going here for many years, and the quality of the food here is going downhill, along with the service. Tonite she and her companion ordered the duck as always on the early bird, and both complained it was hard and dried out . They did nothing and said that is what you get on the early bird menu. The food is quite amazing. I go there so much, I've started to build a friendship with the owners. Very intimate setting and very peaceful. I go for lunch and its packed but very calm. I've never heard anyone complain about the food or service. The taste is very authentic, and believe me I've been to Thailand. This is as close to it as you can get. I love it here and I especially love their welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend their Wonton Soup and Chicken and Shrimp fried rice. Their Thai Donuts for dessert is also a plus! read more

Having traveled to Thailand about a dozen times over the last 10 years, it is rare to find a Thai restaurant in America that serves real Thai food. Thai Curry is one of those places. I only wish I lived near it so I could work my way through the menu. We particularly liked the Penang curry chicken. And the staff was very nice, as well. read more

This restaurant in a nutshell: Good food, terribly SLOW service. As other reviews state, the restaurant is understaffed and run by a husband/wife combo. Wife runs the front office and is the only "waitress", husband manages the back office only. They do have one chef in the kitchen. If you are a regular, expect preferential treatment. If not, take a number, we'll get to you when we can. Food is probably a step better than other Thai restaurants in the area, but if you are here on a date or strapped for time, rethink coming here. Love this place! Have been getting takeout food from here for a long time and it never fails to impress. The Tamarac/North Lauderdale area is basically a culinary wasteland with very very few good places. This place is a rare gem in the area. I love the ginger duck here. That's all i eat. The owner comes across as a jerk, but he's a decent guy if you can understand his humor. The duck is one of the best thai dishes in the area. I love it, it's crispy skin, spicy with onions and peppers. A generous lunch portion with a soup or salad. read more

What kind of Thai restaurant doesn't have pad kee mao on the menu? This one I guess. I asked if they had it and the waiter/owner seemed impressed that I knew thai (though really that's about the extent of my Thai vocab) and that sure, they could make that for me. Me and my bubbie both ordered it with steamed tofu. Now I'll admit the tofu was very well prepared, and I'm not really a stickler for authenticity as I ordered it mild due to stomach problems I have that preclude me from enjoying any kind of invigorating spice anymore. But what was brought out to us was one of the weakest excuses for drunken noodle I've ever seen. The noodles were not wide or thick, they were very stingy with the basil, and the dish as a whole was quite bland (I didn't want spice, but they still could have put some garlic in it.) Now, it wasn't the worst I've ever had, but its def in the top 3 worst. Also the service was very slow and inattentive. It took them a good 10 mins to bring us water and menus after seating us by pointing at a table from behind the bar. I realize this town isn't crawling with Thai places like where I come from, but there is (or at least used to be, I haven't been out this way for like 5 years) a place on Atlantic Blvd that neither of us could remember the name of that I have some vaguely fond memories of. So I know decent Thai food in this town at least existed at some point. This is not it. As such, the plethora of 5 star reviews for this place is pretty baffling. read more
