    Drunken Noodles
    Romeo L.

Our ROMEO group of 8 were here for the first time today at lunch. Arrived at 11:25 and there were two customers in the front room. We took a table for 8 on the left side room. The first thing I noticed was the floor must've just been cleaned as some of it looked a bit wet and. had a sort of cleaning smell to the room, which passed shortly after we arrived. They had just opened at 10:30. A waiter came by and took our drink orders (mostly Thai Tea and a couple of waters). The tea was good...first time for many of us, very sweet with a bit of a coconut taste it seemed. None of us were sure of what to order (the waiter recommended Pad Thai) but we each ordered pretty much something different for everyone. The selection is quite large with choices of protein, spice levels, salads, stir-fry, starters and special entrees. After he took our order it must've been a good 35-45 minutes for our orders to come out. The waiter brought out two orders, went back and brought out three more orders. At that time two guys came in and sat down in the room and he went over and took their orders...Came back and gave them their drinks....and then went back to the kitchen and brought out two more orders for us. I still hadn't received my order and a few minutes later he came out with it. I'd ordered a Garb Lai salad but not sure what he'd given me. I took a couple of bites and one of the guys asked if that was the salad I ordered. I told them I didn't question it but after looking at it I could see it didn't look like the salad that was described on the menu. A few minutes after that a girl came to the table with another dish (which looked like a salad!)...turns out it was my order. She said to just keep the order they'd brought me and left my real order. I must say all the guys enjoyed the food. Two of our group ordered a spice level of 4 and it was very good and had great spice. They do like spice and said it was good and they wouldn't order a 5 anytime. I'm not sure what level of spice my order had but it had a very nice spice and taste to it. It was pork with a lot of good veggies and a large amount of jasmine rice. The only issue I had (and also one other of us) was that there was a couple of pieces of fat mixed in with the pork. The waiter never once came back during our meal to check on our drinks. This was an issue because we had been there so long and also with the spicier food most of us needed a refill. He did finally ask us (after we were done eating) if we needed a refill and 6 of us ordered water, as he said they were out of tea. Bottom line is that the food had good taste but the service was very slow. We finished eating around 2 hours after we walked in. They don't have any lunch menus, only one menu for dinner. It seems to be more of a dinner type restaurant based on the menu and they do serve out of nice plates and regular silverware. Our rating for the 8 of us was a 3.9 and we may not visit again due to the length of time to get our meal and the service.

This restaurant was recommended by a coworker. Upon entry, the establishment was welcoming, clean and we were greeted upon arrival. The servers were nice and the owners daughter explained to menus to us. Even though I normally go for fish or seafood dishes I went with the pork because the server suggested it. my partner got the pad tie and we got one of our usuals papaya salad. The kor moo yang "pork "was very pleasant and tender however, I feel it was missing a little more flavor. I wasn't really picking up any fish sauce, cilantro, garlic, or anything out of the marinade other than the sweetness. However, the dipping sauce did help correct that issue a little the pad. Thai was good as well however it was a little sweet papaya salad was phenomenal and truly authentic. We also ordered a mango sagoo to go. On the menu it is advertised with fresh mango on top however, we were advised that it's already blended within the mixture. I am a visual eater first so if that is what is shown on the menu, the item needs to reflect it. We were able to get the mango added and some coconut cream. That was the best dessert I've ever had. It was phenomenal and I will be back and time to order it all in all everything was great. Next time. I will most likely try the tilapia or the boat noodles, but we will be back.

I had the Pad Thai with 0 spice level and it was delicious. The Mango Sagoo and Mango Sticky Rice were great for dessert! Had a taste of my friend's Mango Coconut Shake and it was excellent. Very friendly, helpful, courteous staff. The food was delivered in a very timely manner. Wonderful addition to the West Columbia restaurant choices. Authentic Thailand food!

You order first and then the food is brought to your table. I liked the causal concept. I ordered chili wontons and a salt and pepper porkchop. The chili wontons were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchop showed up to my table and I immediately thought wait this is not correct. I clarified with the staff member and she told me it was indeed a salt and pepper porkchop. Well a salt and pepper is traditionally deep fried so I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I accepted it and although it was not what I was expecting, it was an incredible meal. I thought they gave too much white rice but the overall presentation was beautiful. The minced pork over the rice and the steamed egg were perfect accompaniments. I ordered a milk tea to go and it was only okay. The boba was cooked too long as they were very soft. Softer than they should be. Otherwise, this was a solid choice to dine in the area.

I'm looking forward to my next visit to dine in!

I've had A LOT of poke bowls, and I have never been served one this way. Poke is usually served with cool, refreshing ingredients, and I was especially concerned about having raw fish sitting on hot rice, particularly in a to-go order where the temperature can continue to rise. I called the restaurant to ask about it, and the woman who answered told me that this is simply how they serve their poke bowls. I explained my concern about serving raw fish on hot rice and the potential food-safety issues that can come with raw seafood being held at temperatures that are too warm. Unfortunately, they didn't seem particularly concerned. Even if the store employees claimed "this is normal for our bowls," it is absolutely a food safety violation. * Authentic poke standards and basic health codes require sushi rice to be seasoned and cooled down to room temperature or cooler before raw seafood is placed on top. * Serving raw fish on hot, steaming food speeds up bacterial growth and ruins the texture of the fish, making it mushy or partially cooked. I ended up not eating the bowl. It's really disappointing, especially because I paid extra for both the tuna and crab, so this was definitely not a cheap poke bowl. **Just a heads-up to anyone ordering -- ask about the temperature of the rice/fish before ordering and use your own judgment.**

New pho spot for me? I think so!…read more I ordered the summer rolls and the combo pho (eye of round steak, brisket, and meatballs) as well as the summer rolls. The rolls? Fresh. The peanut sauce? Mouthwatering. But yall, this pho? PHO-NOMENAL! I came here because my new Thai spot is closed for two weeks and really needed a soupy vibe. Pho is one of my top soup-style dishes (panang curry if I'm going Thai) but the Southeast Asians have they stuff down PAT! This pho is some of the best I've had (I grew up around a large Vietnamese population so I promise im not just another white boy pretending I have something new and improved, lol) The building is SO cute inside, very posh. Unassuming store front. But the service was top notch and the vibe is gorgeous and calm. Much needed after a long day at work!

The broth boasts all the vital & signature notes of anise, garlic, rock sugar, cinnamon well simmered & rendered beef bone stock, onions, cloves, & a perfect amount of salt to marry each ingredient to compliment and layer the dish.
